Subaru Turn Signals Not Working Here’s The Easy Fix!!

Great video. I had the same issue, where you can hear the relay going fast, but no turn signal operating to the left unless you just barely push the stalk down.
However, I did try to fix the turn signal module, four years ago with success and recently without. Dirt and metal particles build up on the sliding contacts (for left versus right) inside and the switch shorts out, resulting in the hyper-flash sound.
It's not hard to take apart. Remove a dust-cover and two small phillips screws. Clean dirt off contacts and put some new dielectric grease in the tracks. Extracting the turn signal module from the steering column is more challenging than servicing it.
One caveat. Both times a plastic slider piece had fallen out as I take it apart. The first time I was upset because I couldn't figure out its proper orientation. Turns out it works both ways. The correct way makes the brights turn on by pushing the stalk away from you. The incorrect way makes the brights turn on (and stay on) if you pull the stalk towards you.
The fix worked for four years the first time. But this time I need to buy a new module.

Mine hyper flashes to the right but not to the left... i have checked all the bulbs and wires. Everything seems to work except its flashing too fast. Could it be the same issue?

Yes that’s what this did it would flash normal about twice then started flashing only on some bulbs which caused it to hyper flash like a blown bulb

Wondering if mine is same issue, no signals from the stem, can hear relay buzzing faster than hyper flash. But the odd part is it seems to mess with ignition and speedometer jumps

I guess it’s possible but that sounds like you may have more going on than just the switch. Does the Ignition and speedometer jump any other time or reason? And do the signals flash at all or just buzz at the relay? Probably my first plan would be to switch the relay out and just see if that corrects the problem, it’s cheap and usually easy to get to to change. I can’t say I’ve ever seen one do a hyper flash as you say but that’s going to break the power to cause the signals to flash. If it’s constantly buzzing I’d think the lights would almost stay lit. Let me know what you find out.

@@ancellsadventures I’ve tried the relay, with a known good and brand new, no help. Also noticed the signal bulbs in front are dual filament bulbs and never light up. But the hazards work and flash just fine. Which leads me back to the switch

I’ve got a forester 07 that my mechanic can’t figure out. All 4signals keep goin out along with the windows - simultaneously 😮 so I’m wondering if this fix would help me. Very strange

I’m not sure that they would be related to the turn signal switch. Most likely a bad ground wire especially if it’s an intermittent problem but I can’t say for sure

So my lights work and high beam. Does that mean it's my bulb that is out?

It’s possible but not necessarily. I’d use a test light at the bulb connection to check for voltage. If you have good voltage the bulb is probably burnt out

Im having the issue that my left side keeps getting stuck on my light stays on wont flash its a pain.

I’d say it’s more than likely the turn signal switch or possibly the signal relay is stuck. The relay is cheap so you may want to start there

@@ancellsadventures yeh i tried unplugging the relay, that didn't do anything. mines the European model that has central locking and immobilizer. so it usually happens when i lock of unlock the car. seems to be intermittent as it only happens occasionally.
