So after I changed the belt and reinstalled the pump, the pump seal was dripping water on the belt pulley when I started running. I didn’t see anything wrong with the seals when I had it apart so I just reused them. After a couple hours of running the seals started to get worse and the belt slipped and I didn’t notice it until it was too late. I talked to prolines owner and he thinks I probably got oil or grease on the seals when I was working on it and those seals cannot have any oils come in contact with them at all, they will leak! So I’ve got new seals and belt on the way! It was a very aggravating learning experience to say the least!!

No this is an oil free compressor and the air filter I’m using here will separate any water vapor out.

Yes that’s what this did it would flash normal about twice then started flashing only on some bulbs which caused it to hyper flash like a blown bulb

Yes it did and the abs light went out immediately when driving

We had a busy week for sure and it absolutely wore us out! The hose mounts were Kevin’s idea and they have worked out great! Makes transporting so much easier. And I can’t find another pro Mack sluice I’ve looked everywhere! That thing is amazing! My homemade version is good but that thing something else!

It worked great for short runs mainly 20 minutes at a time. When I tried to run it consistently it had some reed issues. I ended up going to a gas compressor. The video is up on my channel. Hope this helps!!

@@ancellsadventures the brown paint you used. Was it just normal paint?

@keadejohnson5111 No it was acrylic enamel car paint without any hardeners or additives. Basically just the base paint color. We went to a local body shop and looked at his paint book and found a color we liked and he mixed us one quart right on the spot. That particular color is a Toyota paint color. That’s one thing that made it so nice you can tint it to whatever color you want.

It’s an amazing club that is very family friendly and very welcoming to newcomers! It’s $100 a year for your entire family and has 5 properties at the moment and adding more in may or June. You can camp on the properties and go anytime you want to go. Generally speaking after the monthly meetings they invite new people out to the claims to show them around and teach them how to pan. Yes it does! Took me forever to find it as bad as it was I was expecting something to fall off!

I’d definitely say don’t rush into it. Get some pans and maybe a sluice box and learn to pan efficiently. It all comes back to panning in the end. A dredge is nice but learning to locate gold is a must or you will get frustrated fast! I went full bore and felt defeated when I ran a bunch of worthless dirt for hours. If you can locate something good and repeat that result then I’d look to get something that will move more material. Just my two cents

This was back three years ago now I run a four inch proline most of the time. We still use two inch dredges to test new creeks though.

Mainly all the lead we recover is from shotgun shells from people hunting over the years that has made its way into the creeks and it accumulates in pockets just like gold will do. I’d say it’s more than likely the turn signal switch or possibly the signal relay is stuck. The relay is cheap so you may want to start there

@@ancellsadventures yeh i tried unplugging the relay, that didn't do anything. mines the European model that has central locking and immobilizer. so it usually happens when i lock of unlock the car. seems to be intermittent as it only happens occasionally.

@VloggingCastles I’m not familiar with that model so I’m not gonna be to much help on that unfortunately. I wish you good luck with it and hope you can get it figured out soon

Absolutely!!

So in Virginia there aren’t claims. Property that you buy is yours to prospect on providing the creek is on your property and not the property line itself. In that case things could get a bit troublesome if you’re neighbor doesn’t like the fact your prospecting in the creek. I’m not sure how to tell you to navigate that case. But I’ve found most people are open to it once they see how and what is done. As long as you’re not making an absolute mess and leaving holes open and trashing the area. It’s a great hobby to get involved in, gets you outdoors and is great for the family! You can join the central Virginia gold prospectors club and get your feet wet and learn how to prospect from some great people. Very family oriented and it’s very affordable. $100 a year for your whole family and they have 5 properties as of now and are adding more this year. You can look them up at CVGP.
