sir, your step by step repair is very easy to understand even for a non-technical minded. we want more videos
Agreed...however this is one that I'm not going to attempt!
I have a Toyota Camry and I have this exact issue, exactly as you illustrated here. I’m excited to solve this problem without having to go to mechanic, I love challenging myself. Thank you very much!
Thanks for your simple straightforward talk and video on instructions to replace a faulty indicator switch😊
Thanks for getting to the point and not yakking on about the dogs or kids and just what I needed to know!
When working on the electrical system, it's a good idea to disconnect the ground cable from the battery if possible. You may wish to use a memory back up device if you have a newer vehicle that will go wacko if you disconnect the ground battery cable. Other than that, this is a really good generalized video on the subject matter. I will install a new turn signal tomorrow on a 1988 Nissan Sentra and this helped me get my head straight on what I need to do. Thank you!
Any pos or neg will do the same
@@lacuentadevideos The negative ground battery post is where the electrons come from. This is why I disconnect that one.
@@audiophileman7047 I'm. El engineer that's why I sugest you this to easy the job.by the way
Battery is not like a water tank with electrons in it. Pushing out
It is more like a pump in a closed circuit and in a pump any side disconnected will do the same
my 98 taco got the same problem, now through ur video i got it fixed. thank u so much.
That's awesome, I'm glad to hear!
When making an instructional video for automotive repair/modification it's always a fantastic idea to clean the car first 😂😂😂
Jokes aside, thank you for this video. Not sure if it will solve my problem or not but I will know soon enough. Just wanted to clarify from my previous comment that although I cracked a joke it was out of fun rather than disrespect and that I am truly grateful that you took the time to make this video. Hoping it works for me 🙏🏼🤞🏼🙏🏼🤞🏼🙏🏼
Thank you for the video. I ordered the part for $45.00 and replaced following your video. Thank you.
where did you find it for that price?
Very helpful,,,, a bit further about the tilt wheel on some cars because the wiring to the connectors from factory is to short and gets pulled loose and sometime the connectors are just poorly designed and the wires just fall out after a few years.
Believe it or not, my dog chewed up my blinker stick🤣🤣 so this was very helpful! Thanks bro
Great video, short and sweet and to the point.
Wow! I hunted a long time to find this answer and you nailed it.
Thank you for making this video. Now I’m confident that I can do the repair myself!
Saved me a headache! Thanks!
Fast and right to the point.. Thank you for this 3 minute video!!!!!
Wow, I love it, my daughter had a similar issue in 1999 Toyota Camry. I can tell car a machine what to do.
My 4runner has the same issue except its iffy on the right side. This helped alot thanks!
DUDE!!
THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!
I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, LEFT TURN EVEN!!
Great video sir short video but very helpful. You actually save my day. Thanks a lot.
Thank you sir - that was a very instructive, easy to follow video. Excellent.
Just a beautiful way to explain thanks for this saved me money
Thank you… resolved the issue
I have a 2000 Solara
Both of the turn signals just stopped working, could it be a fuse ??
Thank you sir , I learn a lot to you. Godbless your the Best 😀👍🏾
Your video was outstanding to change signal switch. Thanks for the video.
Thanks you it's really helpful
Check your battery terminals, mine was lose it was missing a screw and I wasn’t aware of it until my mechanic checked. He clipped the bracket and put it a new one. My blinker started working
Cheers Mate. Very hellpful vid💯👊🍻
Great video need to replace mine
Great! I hunted a long time to find this answer on too many videos.
Thank you for your time and video
Well i noticed the front signals don't work on my 1992 toyota corolla so i went to replace the bulbs today still doing the same thing i looked still no action on the front end rear is good. I looked at the fuses they aren't bad is what made me look this up now. The left side clicks fast & the right side clicks normal. Usually fix my stuff so i can learn this simple stuff. So i'm assuming it's the turn signal switch or the relay...is there a way i can know which one it is before i get into buying random parts? Thanks for any help here & Thanks for sharing your time on here too man cool video.
thank you so much, this video save from getting a ticket
Very helpful !!!
Thank you very much very helpfull
Thanks buddy!!
It works this is useful
I installed LED bulbs in my tail lights and of course my blinkers sped which didn't bother me. But after a few weeks the left signal noise stopped intermittently clicking and just went to a solid buzzing noise. Replaced the relay and it's still doing it.
Thank you Sir
Great really2 simple....like us as a non technichian also can understand it...great...i give it a like and subscribes to your channel👍
I have a similar, but weird, issue on my Toyota truck. The left signal flashes faster than normal, but only when I push on the brake pedal. I think I have a problem with the wiring for a 4-pin trailer connector. Additionally, the brake lights on the trailer do not work when connected to only this truck (works when connected to a friend's truck).
That was Great. But how about the 2021 Tacoma?
Thank you Sr. You help me a lot with you knowledge.
Thanks for this video, straight to the point. 👍👍👍
Super helpful thanks appreciate it, will try this.
Thanks , saved me money.
So if the right dash blinker is not flashing at all could it still be the switch? I hear mine clicking, the outside lights work, right blinker does not blink with hazards. 2012 RAV4. Dash is a circuit board. Any suggestions:-)?
Ok thanks amigo
Hi , thank you for your video, I have a question, my 2010 Avalon when I turn signal left or right, no signal light working, but when I push hazard switch, all the light working, what do you think what the problem? Thank you
Check ur Turn signal relay and fuses
I have the same problem with my Toyota Corolla 2002. Do you resolve the problem with the Avalon?
Going thru bulbs on both sides every 3-4 weeks on 2016 Tundra. Thoughts? Thx.
Having any tips when the left turning signal flashes with the brakelight while braking?. Its the same when i put my car in reverse and the lights starts flicker as soon as i turn the signal left!
Thank you for the film. Can someone tell if the Turn Signals and Hazards use the same Flasher. The Turn Signals don't work at all, nut the Hazards work just fine. 2001 Saturn SL2.
Update 1: I found it!! And what it was, I removed the headliner board for re[placing the upholstery on it, and disconnected the wire to the ceiling lens. The shop manual (I fortunately have for that car 2001 Saturn SL2) advised to attach those wires w/scotch tape, so I disconnected it fm/the plug by the rear window. The plug was sitting on a thin plate, which I assumed was there for keeping the plug in correct place. After I did some research I've learned that grounding could cause Turning Signals go off. The Manual showed 2 grounding wires on the rear close to that plug. There was a clip on the plug, metal one. I disconnected the grounding there, so even w/plug in the T S-ls didn't work of course. It might be helpful for someone else. Pls check the grounding as well if you have a problem w/T Signals and the fuse is fine. I was about to replace the Steering Column Switch, and actually ordered one already (so will have a spare now, not bad thing though).
Update 2: Now everything is working w/that clip off or on, so it was not the ground connection, just a mounting clip. I'm completely lost and don't know what was the problem before. Maybe still the Steering Column Switch. The car was sitting for a long time, probably smth got corroded inside of that Switch and after several shifts back and force it is gone.
Have you seen this happen on 5th gen 4runners? I have a 2020 and my left turn signal works intermittently as well. It affects hazards as well. Fuse looked okay and bulb and connectors looked fine so Im suspecting its the entire switch itself which just seems so premature for a barely 5 yr old car...
Hello. I have a toyota yaris verso. I know u don't see that car in USA. My problem is when I put my directional to the right the headlights turn on, but not always. Also notice when move the switch just a little bit the headlights turns on (still in off position) what could it be? a fusible?
Sounds to me like your switch is bad, all you're doing is moving with the switch and it's doing something it's not supposed to.
Do you have a video about the flasher? Both mine work only occasionally.
Thanks!
Not yet, but thanks for the idea
Thank you !!!!
Perfect teaching. Thanks!

I have a similar issue but whenever I put the switch to do a left turn.. It blows the fuse. Doing a right turn is fine. changed turn signal bulbs and it work fine until I went back to turn the car on a few minutes and it blew the fuse again. hazards work fine. I put a new fuse in and this time I pulled the switch slightly down to use the left turn signal and it worked fine. just only when I pull it all the way down it blows. I'm not sure what it is that could be causing this.
Excellent !
Was that part he showed the one he ordered?
Im going to be an expert mechanic by the end of this issue
So i changed the bulb, the fuses and the flasher unit on my 2000 chevy silverado , but my right rear turn signal still doesn't want to work. Could it be the bulb socket or turn signal switch??
Could be the socket, or even the bulb.. I think the switch would affect both - front and back lights
@@MakeItEasyMechanic It was the socket haha, thank you!!
@@nestorperez5176 Thank you for telling what the problem was
My blinkers work but no sound? Is it the fuses? 2006 Camry LE
Where can i buy a signal flasher for a kia sportage 95 and the turn signal switch?
fog lights r not working on my pt cruiser 2002 even if i changed the bulbs, what fuse or relay responsible for that?
thanks
I have a 2004 Mitsubishi endeavor, my hazard always works, sometimes my blinker works and sometimes it won't. But when it doesn't work the left and right blinker go off. Any Idea?
Awesome . I will attempt this repair soon!
Hi great video, I have a 2008 Honda Civic Ex and when I turn on my blinkers the hazard lights also flash. I checked all of the fuses on the vehicle and also the wiring.
I was told it’s the turn signal/hazard lights relay. Do you know where it’s located? If so can you please let me know. I opened up the turn signal stock and cleaned all the connections. Not sure if it’s a relay, check everything but can not find the issue thank you.
Hey I have the same problem were you able to know and fix what the problem was? If so will you please help me
Jaime Hernández, Yes the problem with my 2008 Honda Civic was the wrong bulb. Make sure your light bulb is for your blinkers / low beam light, it has a double use. The sales rep at auto zone sold me the wrong light bulb for my vehicle. Hope this was helpful.
@@sheba6779 thank you!
front rt turn signal not working, changed 2 different bulbs w/ no success. Any further suggestions?
Check your socket. See if there's power and ground getting to it, if there is - your socket is bad
I will try your suggestion, thank you for taking time to reply.
I had a 2011 Toyota 4Runner with a left brake light that constantly malfunction. Changed bulbs and even switched sockets with no success. Mechanic said it was in some circuit board, several hundred dollars to replace, but they had an unusual process to get it working that involved removing tail light bulb, pressing brake peddle, then replacing both bulbs, and surprisingly, it worked, supposedly faking out that circuit board. I don't know if this similar situation with this 2008 4Runner.
Thanks 👍
My left blinker won't flip back automatically, so after every left turn I need to flip it back manually. Do you know what could cause this?
sounds like the blinker arm is damaged where it connects to the column
Can this be used on any car (for ex: 2003 GMC Yukon denali) or only Toyota trucks?
Most cars are very similar
Was your bulb burned out?
i honestly doubt you’ll see this but if you do please reply. same thing happened to 2007 galant. my back right brake light was out (faulty wiring) i fixed it and originally only my left side blinkers stop. i just swapped a load of fuses.. now neither side works, and my inside lights and the buttons on my key
I have an '06 Ranger. All the blinkers works fine except the passenger front. Inside the instrument panel you can hear it blinking fast but doesn't light, outside the bulb lights solid. None of the bulbs are burnt out. No matter how much I play with the switch it doesn't blink normal. I need help diagnosing this please
I have a Hyundai Tucson 2007 and the turn signal will not shut off after I make a left turn. It works fine after a right turn. Is there a way I can fix this without replacing the entire unit?
Soo I have the same problem I install a new switch and still having the same issue. Any ideas
I have a Pontiac sometimes the turn signals work but then sometimes out of suddenly they stop working what could be the issue?
I got no electricity in fuses and hazards are working, light bulbs are fine what can cause issue? BTW the high beam light is out too any ideas?
I have the issue where my indicators work sometimes and sometimes not also my ac button light gets dim and when that light gets dim the indicators dont work
Hey I might have missed it but my Tacoma doesn’t have any lighting up. No turn signals or hazards. Already checked the fuses and relay and signal switch. Still nothing.
I have the same problem. Did you get it fixed? What was it?
Did y’all find the problem???
I have the same issue but on the right indicator
Pretty sure this what's happening in my Lexus IS250 2007. My right turn signal is intermittent. The left one is fine. And the hazards work, so it's not the bulb.
Am having the same problem, mine both right and left are not working can I also change or what should I do
Worth a shot
Would I do the same thing for my 1999 Corolla
Pretty much
My turning signals work you just can't see it on the dashboard so how do I fix that
change my turn signal switch for my 2004 toyota 4runner and dash lights not working
I have the same problem on my Toyota
tazz
Can the flashers work and blinkers not and the problem be the relay? Thanks.
Yes, turn signals and hazard lights are typically controlled by different flasher relays
This is a super helpful question and answer for my situation, thank you
This is exactly the problem i have on my car... do you have any idea how much it cost to by the new blinker?
Roughly, in a $35-75 range.
*Yo, quick question for anyone, any idea what the issue would be for 1tail light not responding to the blinker switch. The bulbs work, but 1 side doesn't engage with the blinker. Have checked online, and can't find any main diagnosing. Fuse/Panel, does not seem to be the cause.*
Mine work but it gets stuck when turning right and I have to take it down myself
My fiancé just bought a vehicle and the right turn signal only works if he has his foot off the gas...any thoughts or ideas?
What if new bulb burns out as soon as you place it in? I've worn gloves and it goes out immediately
Never touch the bulb no matter what still hold it by the metal part or it could be the wrong one for your car or a faulty fuse
My lights will go on and off while driving. Could this be the reason as well?
Same thing here.
That's not a diagnosis that's how to install a turn switch.
He told us how to determine if the flasher was bad or the switch was bad in like 90 seconds, that was the diagnosis part
Nigga didn’t watch the video 💀
I have a jetta 2012 and my left turn signal, left flasher, and left headlight does not turn off but my right side does. I replaces the bulbs but no use, does anybody know the reason?
Thankyou for this vedio I fixed alone when I bring my car to micenic he want 100 euro
My problem is that, sometimes they work and some don’t, and i could get pull over anytime
