Love 2000. I got to see him play Country Pie live at Greatwoods. I was freaking out. My favorite Dylan show Ive seen. Been lucky to see him probably 20+ times over the years. Amazing.

I was there, lost count how many times i've seen possibly the greatest writer of all time, but now the boo's get louder, (in Cardiff anyway) don't come expecting 1963. This is the man who gave us a commentary to over a century. Dylan is as Dylan does girls, stay at home if you're only safe with compliance. Don't criticise what you cant understand.

To think the Keith Gubitz channel remains this popular is a testament to the sheerly great performances he was able to shoot and compile. God bless you, Sir Keith. P.S. Saw this tour during spring or summer or fall of 2000 (all I can remember is that it was very warm that night on the Delaware and that the Phil Lesh Band came on after Bob started promptly at 7 pm with folks still coming in). The setlist here is almost exactly the same except for the opener which was Duncan and Brady. I thought that particular show was the best show I'd ever seen after it happened.. and today.. I still think that. Never say die.

This period is one of his best--if not the best. At the absolute height of his performance prowess and the band is at its rocking best. There are several bad periods, like his up-singing phase, or his Frank Sinatra phase, or when he was reciting his lyrics with his voice seemingly completely shot (it has come back strong since then). This concert captures him perfectly from that time.

God bless Keith Gubitz. Hallelujah.. I'm ready to go. This year 2000 is right up there with '98 and '94. So happy to be playing with these guys. How did I see him this year? I swear it was a hot, outside night overlooking the Delaware River and Philadelphia nearly underneath the Ben Franklin bridge. How did Bob squeeze in the U.S. shows that year? I know I'm not mistaken? One of the greatest shows I've ever seen. But when was it? I am not dreaming. EQUALITY I SPOKE THE WORD.. AS IF A WEDDING VOW.
Lots of passion and expression in his vocals. He kicked it up a notch or two for this show for sure.
Thanks for sharing this! Great setlist and performance. His vocal phrasing on "Tangled Up in Blue" is transcendent. I'm glad Dylan's guitar is so high in the mix, too - I love his playing.
