This is the music that makes me feel passion and nostalgia all wrapped up in neon lights reflecting off the puddles on the pavement on a crisp autumn night. Music is the best mode of traveling in the mind. Anyone relate to what I just shhhhhpewed out ? lol
@Burr Anderson OH, Burr...if you only knew! lol Thanks for the advice.
@Burr Anderson OH Burr, if you only knew! Lol Thanks for the advice.
@Burr Anderson sorry...got my wires crossed....nothing new.
@@stellaspencer3335 i totally get you. ❤
Best Poet that ever lived. Poignant prose as relevant today as the day they were written.
Yo tengo 63 años y también me gusta mucho Lou Reed. Heroin es mi vida es mi mujer. Yo estuve enganchado a la Heroin. Juan Carlos Canales Arce 🍁. Santander Cantabria España Europa ❤.
I just turned 66 can I see them in 94 at the Capitol theater. 😊 ❤rip
I was at this show. Went to college not too far from Passaic. An unknown rap group named Run DMC was the opening act. 8 songs were broadcast live on WNEW in New York. Great show! My ears rang for 3 days.
A lot of people in the audience had almost never heard rap, there was more than one act that opened for Lou. All New York rap.
..I was at the show too, it made an impression on me. I was 23.
WNEW (RIP) was amazing and had a brilliant crew of DJs.
bodeswell35 oh shut it you, don’t ruin this
bodeswell35 lol whatever anti semite
Then don't be a fucking bigoted moron. Bigots get in the mud like pigs. @bodeswell35
Lou Reed is sadly missed. He wrote about subjects nobody else would. Venus in Furs, Dirty Boulevard, Street Hasel.Love his interviews with the press. Love album Animal Seronade brilliant live , nothing up these sleeves , no tapes or loops. Great live. Nobody yet has taken your place.
The version of Street Hassle from the AS album is amazing! ✌️
Saw him so many times in the city and all over Jersey. He was definitely in the forefront of the punk movement of the 70's
Punk? You have no clue what your saying
the Shithole of Jersey! Haha.
@@ga5782 They are 100%. Obviously you're musically illiterate. Every punk band was inspired by Lou Reed. He was the link between 60s scene and the beginning of punk. Everyone knows this. Him and The Stooges.

I love the new sensations albums. Fun. And yet Lou. Very underated. Down at the Arcade is such a great song....
I find myself walking around singing average guy Kids look at me a bit weird 😅
Lou, unmeasurable talent, best Lou video paired with velvet redux, oh yeah, and this keyboard guy, whatta trip!
I so like him, I wish he lived cleverly right next door, oh yes
For some reason when I was in my twenties and younger, I never thought about seeing Lou Reed live. He's such a tremendous songwriter. He wrote so many great songs that got covered by Mott The Hoople, David Bowie and Iggy Pop. It's so great watching him play guitar. I was listening to "Rock and Roll Animal" today on CD and it sounded so good.
Pale Blue eyes!!!!!❤️❤️❤️🇨🇭
Saw Lou in 2006 Edinburgh playhouse

That must have been amazing.
Happy Birthday Lou!

Well this chosen for me on a, Rainy , rainy day. Bloody fantastic concert, 😃tfs🎧😘👍🏻
Greetings from 🇩🇰 to 🇵🇹 .
The best country for Europeans to visit for Hollidays/Vacations.
I LOVE that country, the people, the food, the wine, the music...
And The Atlantic Ocean..
Great concert! Awesome band!...RIP Lou and Quine.
Much derided 80's Lou was still way above most of his peers! No doubt about it after watching this amazing show!
he was great live through the 80s at least
this guy stinks
80's Lou Reed....KILLER!
Walk on The Wild side & Heroin were my favorites and had to see him in Vancouver, B.C. around 79 or 80's. ❤ Oh my I love all the music from them day's. 😆
I’ve been listening to Lou since I was 13. 47 now and there is still lots of albums and songs I’m still getting into and songs I never heard. Lou is my favourite Rocker of all time. He’s a hero of mine because he took a path that few could walk never mind come up with poetic rock masterpieces. I love you Lou.
👍👍👏💪 I am 65 now and I love this Man. ❤️🇨🇭
Love you so much, Lou! Glad I got to see you perform!
Gracias por tanto rock an roll Lou
I saw Lou live several times, he was either brilliant,or terrible, sometimes during the same concert. This is a good one.
I bet that was wild to witness...brilliant or terrible.
Agree
I just finally got around to photographing all of my concert tickets that I've managed to save over the last 48 years. Now I'm cropping and processing them, one at a time, so, of course, I play some music to entertain myself while I work - What a treat to realize that, as I'm working on the ticket stub for Lou Reed from 1984 at DAR Constitution Hall, in Washington D.C., I'm listening to a concert from the same tour!!
Thanks for uploading this great show for all of us to enjoy.
I wish The Tube of You hadn't jammed 40 million adds on to it, but I'll struggle through while I can.
I was born in 1944 in Passaic NJ But in 1984, I was not a Fan of Lou Reed. I saw many Concerts at the Capitol Theater while growing up in that area and throughout my life, my musical interests changed and Lou became one of my favorite musicians! Lou is a hard core Rock & Roll Animal and he is missed but His music will live on!
Nice to see Lou in such good form.
loopy Ruane bad form
He is on drugs !!!

Just found this. I was at this show - great show!! So happy it's caught on video!
I dont know too much about Lou Reed. What l know makes me love him. Thanks, Lou Reed for your songs and knowledge. Thanks for your soul.
One Constant: Amazing Fernando Saunders. Thanks for this post.
My favorite Lou's show ever. New Sensations is killer in live !
Ah, yes, the good old days when concert footage focused on the players instead of constantly cutting to audience shots. Great show all around!
Settle down gaybo
Such a great document...such a HUGE creative mind. Fabulous Lou.
I discovered him with "Lou Reed Live" when I was a a kid from Brussels. I just pinpoint him as a GREAT man. Composer, singer, actor...Hat's off!!!
He was quite the Taiji player too
Lou forever sits at the top of the pantheon 🎸 Along with TVU and David Bowie... They wrote the soundtrack of mine and many other's lives
I know a bloke who saved for years to go and see his hero Lou Reed live. Got the tickets, hotel and flights.
Turned up at the gig.
The hype train is whistling full speed.
Lou looks out at the crowd, says "Fuck it" and walked off stage
He still says it was worth it
That bloke is a complete and utter tool.
A fool and his money are soon parted.
Absolutely, I would do anything to see Lou even say fuck it!
Lou is the best!
Too of the pinnacle of rock!
Lou was incredibly beautiful in his youth and his music was amongst the most honest and artful of any time. Lou was an artist and what he did will always stand, Think of what records cam out in 1965 and then remember that The Velvet Underground's first album was was issues. Heroin. Femme Fatale, Black Angels Death Song. He lives on in his music

Nonsense! He had a long and varied music career. And he was the Leader and main songwriter for the the VU!
One of the strangest and unique rock bands of all time that influenced tons of musicians. Just for that he was a success!
And he wrote Sweet Jane and White Light, White Heat. Two rock classics!
He was like the Godfather of Punk.
@Burr Anderson What are you talking about? He fronted the band that started a thousand bands! He wrote Walk on the Wild Side, Heroin, Perfect Day, Sweet Jane, I'm Waiting for the Man, Satellite of Love, Coney Island Baby, Pale Blue Eyes, Street Hassle, Venus in Furs... Some of the best rock songs ever made
@Burr Anderson ?
Lou is Reed is truly one fine citizen,Martial Law basically sums up everyday life,Lou’s introduction to this song is so comical...what great mood Lou is in on this performance, obviously there will only be one Lou Reed ever, love you Lou for eternity, thanks for keeping me just slightly sane.
What a great Artist and Musician he was...this is really great
