There's no musician who walks the earth with a Playlist like this.
J aime énormément tout les deux 😂il sont optimistes
Think of a musician nowadays, standing up on stage before you, belting out a setlist like this. It’s absolutely unthinkable. And to think this man, 39 years later, is still writing jaw-dropping songs like this! Whether or not you’re a huge fan of his, it can’t be denied that the songs he’s written and continues to write are American classics. His words will be crooned for as long as humanity exists. A legend in the truest sense of the word. Thank GOD I’ve seen the man a number of times live. It’s like being in the same room as Beethoven or Whitman, DaVinci, or Shakespeare. We are so blessed! But nowhere as much as this man’s pen and typewriter was. Thank you Bob! “I’ll be with ya through and through.”
Does his guitar plugged in on cable or mic?
Only unthinkable if you are not awake and looking for it. Enjoy your memories of great music. Leave the brilliant musicians of today alone.
Blessed to have a legend in its truest form in my life time like Bob Dylan. His prose and music keeps flowing.
U've seen him number of times. But for me, I listen to him here in Russia, still 1995 when I bought a bootleg audiotape "THE BEST OF BOB DYLAN". That's all I have, ancient tapes, dvd-disk and internet records later, and youtube, and enough! For to feel his spirit. Not all words 😊
@@timadamson3378 show me where to look then? There’s nobody even close to Dylan’s musicianship and lyrics. Nobody.

“I have nothing but affection for those who have sailed with me.” We, a global community who have been blessed to sail with you, have the utmost affection for you, Mr. Dylan
Bob is an AMAZINGLY affectionate person😅❤
Dylan' still conquering the world 🌎 with his brilliant revolutionary mind. His unique lyrics have always been a great inspiration and comfort to my heart 💜 He's been always spreading the truth others tried to hide. Genuine spirit of the awesome human mind. 🌎💫
I was 10 in 1976 and already an avid Bod Dylan fan, no matter what anyone else said I played his music loud and proud and sang along in my own little world. I still do that today, I dreamed of seeing him in concert for my whole life, and in November of 2019 he came to Providence, RI. My son-in-law and I were fortunate enough to get the last 2 seats, he took me for an early Christmas present and we were both in our glory as he is just as big a fan as me. Upon leaving the theater we were blessed with the opportunity to walk along side Bob Dylan's tour bus, it was a very large but unassuming brown beauty. Unfortunately the windows were all black and we couldn't see him, but we'll still say we walked along side Bob at a distance of less than 10 feet, what an awesome ending to a tremendously exciting night. The only that could top that would be to actually meet Bob Dylan in person and speak to him some day.
Good thing you finally got to see him live right before the rona, who knows when he will perform live again :(
just out of curiosity, why did you never attend any of his concerts before 2019?
@@babdillon3220 I never had the opportunity, it was my son in law who found out he was coming and got the tickets for us to go together. I never had anyone who wanted to go with me before I finally got my wonderful son in law. We are both avid Dylan fans and our families just don't understand our passion.
Good for you. btw if he met you, or me he probably wouldn't talk to us. lol.
What an AMAZING trip that was!
A genius musician and poet for the ages whose songs will be sung and played 1000 years from now.
Earth probably won't be here 😹😂😹
Dylan at his peak. Voice was great here. Pure magic.
You're hearing things man!
@@trishmcl9055 ~ And such magnificent things to be hearing!
check him out singing “ The Boxer “
with himself - voices before and after he quit smoking !
I love his voice on this tour too!! It's rough, expressive, heartfelt, and he's generally singing on actual notes as opposed to other eras which can stray more into spoken word territory. Desire is one of my favorite albums and this concert is amazing! Very fresh, interesting arrangements on everything.
RTR, baby...
Sweet Christopher Robin. This is the absolute best Dylan concert ever. And Baez is just the frosting on the cake. Diamonds and Rust, anyone?
One of my favorite songs/albums of ALLTIME!!! 🙂
If I never have to hear her whiny commie voice again, I'll be happy.
BAEZ is just as AMAZING as the whole concert.
I'm in the autumn of my life and I never thought I'd see Bob Dylan perform live, but in fact in 13 days I will be!!
That's lovely . I saw him around 78 in London Earl's court I was 16 , first time traveling to the big city from Glasgow Scotland ... I hope 🙏 you enjoyed ❤
@@marcsnow1888 sweet! 💚
Crazy to hear Joan singing Diamonds and Rust right after singing with Bob, and him just in the back of the stage. A great emotional moment between these two great artists!
Years after that, he said this was a song against him... Very crazy!
I was thinking the same thing!
Yeah , the song is a pretty barbed compliment . But Bob sang SARA to his wife in the audience once , when the relationship was kaput .
I've seen Bob three times and always puts on a great show. This video captures the true Dylan singing his heart out from the soul. It's amazing how he can belt out the lyrics and not miss a beat. This is a great show and the best version of those songs. Great Video!
Well said. 💯
I’ve seen him 20 times and he does NOT always put on a good show. But when he does, it’s incredible.
I was there at the Biltmore that day about 8 feet from the stage. This was a Burt Sugarman production that NEVER aired. How in the hell did you get this? I am so grateful to see it.
Did u smoke som wacky weed that night?😁🐒🐒🐵
Outstanding collection of songs and versions I've never heard before and the vocals are superb! Bob Dylan's voice seems stronger than ever nowadays! Thanks so much for this fantastic feelings it carries on some renditions! MAGICAL SHOW!
The "second leg" Of RTR totally underrated! New songs/new arrangments/Bob & the guys still on Fire playing & singing for the Stars above!
This was intended to be the tv special. Somehow it got bollixed and so they shot what became Hard Rain. I saw RTR on this leg, in Houston, and it was an incredible show with Willie Nelson opening the second half. I've read though, that the troupe had a miserable time. Dylan was divorcing and subsequently changed the show, his hat and his sense of play. Baez has written about it. Somehow everyone pulled together come showtime.
The thought of him writing the unmatched lyrics, coming up with a melody that catches your ear and cutting a master in 15 minutes is a testimony to his talent!! 🎶🎸💜
That Rolling Thunder tour, the best.
the 75 part was just godly, so was this i prefer 75 though
Both !
1966 world tour is my favorite, than 75
Significant that Joan Baez sings Diamonds and Rust immediately after Bob Dylan leaves the stage.
magnificent versions here vocally at his peak .Many thanks
The impeccable harmony phrasing on "Blowin' In The Wind" is delivered with such precision it's just magical. The connection between these two is more than obvious.
And take that ‘Diamonds and Rust’ of Joan Baez Beauty Love song ❤️🌹👌🎶
The UA-cam algorithm really has my number. Although I do appreciate it, it is rather bittersweet watching this video, now that I am 70 years old.🙁
And Baez is still gorgeous at 78.
More impressive is her soul, heart, guitar and voice get well songs to John Prine, then suffering after cancer treatment and apparently hosting coronavirus 19 before transitioning. Joan Baez in her kitchen with a guitar and some chicken soup for a fallen 'worker in song.' She credits Prine with having written some of the most requested songs in her wide multi-lingual repertoire. She ain't no songwriting slouch, either. Bless ya, Joan, blessed spirit of sis Mimi for all her good works with Bread & Roses and transitioning too young, and surely in blessed memory and continuing spirit in songs of John Prine...

Pretty good finger pickin' too!!
And they say the '76 shows lacked the magic of the '75 ones. I'd argue they have a magic all their own.
i agree, 76 concerts are my all time fave ones
me too. The 76 seem to harken back to the folk days, stripped down, where he might've finally laid down the sword and gave enjoyable justice to his pre-electric stuff. 75 has the artistic embellishments, which have their own value sure, but you know..... sometimes you just want to hear someone belt it out and play straight ahead!
Nice job, Bob!
Isis is one of Dylan's greatest live performances, I keep coming back to view this. But did you notice that he skipped a verse?
Blessyou for posting this awesome concert
Damn, saw the title and thought this might be Bob playing with CCR. Now that I would like to see!
In 1976, in Clearwater, Florida, our supposed "Dark Ages," and the crowd appreciated the set list above. Now, if they go out, they go to a Hate Rally. So, I prefer to stay at home and listen to this!
Iddhis Bing I go out, I don’t hate...
Brighter days ahead. It’s always darkest before the dawn.
WTF are you babbling about, Iddhis ?
@@sneakerfacevids441 Obviously you wouldn't know.
BIDEN 2020 !
Of all his arrangements, this is by far his best version of Like A Rolling Stone.
great bass line!
You said it just right Brandon. His music and songwriting have been all the way through my life from teenage to olden....how lucky and priviledged i feel
Dylan never disappoints! Rolling Thunder was no exception.
The rolling thunder revue should be in the bureau of standards in washington dc as the standard all concerts should be measured against.
We’ll never see talent like this again.
Does his guitar plug in on cable or mic'd in?
What does that even mean
Bobby isn't really playing the 🎸
timothymosley...I totally agree. Cant think of a young 20 year old performer today who'll write as many masterpieces as Bob and still be popular in their 80's. Bob is unique! May He stay Forever Young!
I was there, sitting on the floor woah
where was that concert?
me too !!! Right in front...

still magnificent after all this time - thank you Bob
An absolute gift to behold : Mr Tambourine Man seems to be a kaleidoscope of Bob’s inner feelings like craving for time out of mind. Bobby Newhart whom Dylan knows for 1200 yrs although humorous , causes Bob to break the song with an OOH ! Dylan is more the genius 🎼 Merci for post.
1976. Bob Dylan and friends in a country theater venue. Can't get much better.
Thank you for posting. I am the farthest thing in the world from a soft-hearted, sentimental man, but fifteen minutes of this, with that angel Joan, and I felt my face begin to melt in some strange way, and I was grateful, then, that it was only tears, only my terminal anger, and not some more desperate need.
Get that checked dude sounds like your having a stroke !!!😹😹😹👺👺
Beautifully expressed.
Although the honesty of your recognition undercuts your assertion about being "the farthest thing". Although I suppose that's obvious to anyone with half a brain.....
what’s “terminal anger”
Beautiful words, Andrew Brown.
Absolute perfection! Voices, accompaniment, songs, fabulous performance! I can say nothing else...
I love this so much I’m going to cry
Best version of "Just Like a Woman" I ever heard.
have you tried all rolling thunder its awesome
Definitely up there
@@richardmcgann5542help yeah
It is noted in wikipedia that rehearsals for the spring leg were held in Clearwater, Florida during April, and the first show was on April 18 at the Civic Center in Lakeland, Florida. (Performances by Dylan and Baez during the Clearwater rehearsals were taped and aired on The Midnight Special.)
This was out a few years ago, glad to see it back, hopefully youtube will leave it alone
Diamonds and rust 16'45 a masterpiece...
It was about her love for Bob .

Diamonds and Rust - Joan Baez solo breath-taking
Bob & Joan are forever married to "Diamonds &Rust"💘 How ever there is a superior cover by Blackmoor Night, Acoustic guitar masterfully played by RB & sung by Richie Blackmoors lovely wife, she wraps up Diamonds-Rust with a burst out of last line lyrics🎼 "I've Already Paid🎤🎶🎻🥁, I do dig Joan, saw Her in 1973 at Edge water Park in Cleveland we were on meal. Also with Country Joe&the Fish on bill. Big storm off Lake Erie chased us out on foot across Cuyahoga high level bridge to Municipal parking lot on SE of old Indians Stadium. Lesson is never get to stoned away from home🤯
dylans are all awesome
@@robertbairt928 Judas Priest's version of Diamond and Rust is great, too.
Yes, I have always marveled at his diction...someone just mentioned this.
Yes right here it's just quite amazing. That voice is capable of many many incarnations. But he always follows some of tge basic rules of a singing class.
Diamonds and Rust is a killer.
She hit it out of the park!
Drummer Howie Wyeth and bassist Rob Stoner do an amazing keeping this beautiful swirl centered.
Que grande poeta e músico! Mereceu 100 vezes o Premion Nobel de Literatura!!
Mr Tambourine Man, makes me cry, lovely tears.
It;s def the BEST tamb man I ever heard
Mr. Tambourine Greats Memorys of my mine..........Thank you Bob
I wish I could go back to that time
And in addition, in everything I've heard ..till 2017, he has Never sung a flat note. He's a master of melody, harmony and rythymn. And this , of course, does not speak to ho
his Words, of course.
Love the tieeeems, only Bob Dylan can do that so well
Dunno about his peak, pretty good just the same. Joan singing beautifully and Roger also. ❤...
These songs are so magnificently and incandescently alive today! They will endure forever.
El más Grande de todos los TIEMPOS.
Perdurará su música y sus influencias por muchos años
We don't see shows like this now. Awesome talent live on stage. Never see the like again. Bob is one of the greatest American wordsmiths ever. I wish we had someone like Bob in the UK. Legend.
c'est un juif errant, il lui faut au moins un pays grand comme l'Amérique pour pouvoir se déplacer à son aise!

Hi. Unluckily, no country has such a prolific singer-songwriter but America. I mean, there are many lyricists and composers (serious ones) out there, French, Spanish, British... who also sell millions of records. Nevertheless, none of them approaches the impact and relevance that Mr. Dylan has had in society along his more than sixty years on stage, delivering his message to humankind.
Peace.
You do. Shakespeare.
Don't miss Mick Ronson way back on the left...
Five days later, I saw him in Tallahassee. Unforgettable. Born in Hibbing, Minn. also.
actually born in Duluth Minnesota. He grew up in Hibbing.
THANKS so much for posting. This is a revelation.
It's rare to use one mic ..isn't it ? And there is zero space between them ..though they are 2 guitars. The closer you are ..the better it is for "hearing ".
Absolute genius always my favorite.
Joan adored him.
He finally admitted when asked about tension between them , that he felt a bit threatened by her huge audience and gorgeous voice . He later became the more famous star , but this was not true in 1962 .
Beyond beautiful...the Bard of Minnesota AND the wonderful Ms Baez, who sings the lost lover's lament she wrote for Bob, Diamonds and Rust. More beautiful still...
i have never seen dylan this involved, interested, interesting in my life and i'm 64y/o
You must see june1999 w/Clapton he's nearly dancing his foot work and smiles are heartwarming to see over the years I see Dylan & Clapton have a chemistry musically gifted equals at ease far beyond our understanding but witnessing it is complete joy
Oh my goodness. Thank you!
This should of aired on his NBC special instead of the Hard Rain concert in Colorado. This concert is pure Bob Dylan.
Wow. Dylan not too young, not too old. Just perfect! Great blend of his 60's and 70's best. Thanks for posting! I have seen the Hard Rain special of course, but never saw this before. Joan Baez is beautiful and amazing here!
Su música , sus letras cada vez me han cautivado cada noche lo escucho grande maestro de las bellas letras exelente Bob Dilan muy bien merecido el premio Nobel de literatura ❤❤
He is the best, we lived in a very special time.Bless you BobZ
And now after his spring/summer 2023 European tour he is as fucking fantastic as ever!
Love it.
simply wonderful
Really don't know what to say...........just beyond words this man!
Their duets are tge best I've seen and heard. The Water is Wide, I shall be Released ( RTR ) and their casual practicing the 3 harmony songs at the Savoy hotel in 1965. I keep going back to that film clip.
Thanks for reminding me about the Savoy Hotel rehearsals. These duets of theirs just send me to another plane. Can't get enough of them. I totally love Bob in all his incarnations but I keep coming back to RTR the most.
@@robinhaar7738 They sure are great !

WowWee.... Im dumbstruck I couldn't think of anything else to say. To see him singing and playing in concert in the 70s is just too much for my little
brain..... He is fantastic and lovely and strong 💪 💙
I've never wanted to see him in concert because I thought it would kill the magic I feel when I listen to him.
Strange, eh?
Well thank you for putting this video up it is wonderful to hear and see. Love to all.

richard mcgann you’re wrong
@@richardmcgann5542 okay I'm definitely missing something here. What do you mean to say and why don't you say it and even words that I can understand?
If you think my comment stinks or is in appropriate please tell me straight-out.
If you do like it then say that also.
I do not understand what you wrote please make it clear.
@@ilovedylan3943 For what it's worth... I can understand your comment. Not sure that guy meant anything... perhaps he missed the word 'word' and meant 'spread the word, friend' and nanchanger misunderstood... (or has something been deleted?). Anyway, like I say, I can understand your feeling. I'm assuming you're young. I wonder what it's like for some older people seeing this. I'm 60 but it doesn't mean much to me as my feelings for Bob don't have much to do with how he looks, but i know that's not the case for some people (especially females it seems - and I mean that as a simple statement of fact, with no negative connotations)
I just saw Sir Dyan in Richmond, Virginia. He. Is still awesome. I was captured by his lyrics and voice.... I've loved him since I saw him on a black and white TV..His eyes, so Beautiful even on Bl/Wh...
And to think this was the version of Hard Rain that was rejected by NBC...
I always thought Dylan pretended he didn't care about being a 'celebriity' (thought he probably did,; who wouldn't)... this is Bob allowing himself to be the "Rock Star"
He definitely didn't like the trappings and expectations of celebrity, but he DID know how to put on a show!
This is the time before you disconnected, isn't it Olga?
Very young Dylan beauty voice! Soft and clear! Nicee! Guitar and harp play was then as right now easy for Musicman🎶. Still going strong decades and decades later!🌹❤️
Forever young for Dylan❤️🌹
yes... really something to experience
Wow! Even St.Augustine 😮 How have I never seen this video before?
I loved seeing Dylan when he was still young and the voice was still there. Great show. I really enjoyed it
I saw the Joan Baez thumbnail and thought, "Wow Robbie Robertson was being a bit flashy back then."
Comment of the week!
This is the best performance I have ever seen him do he seems as if you could really reach him
If you have not already, search out Bob Dylan 1988 Bridge Benefit concert. It will not disappoint, I promise.
I was there that summer day back then with a friend I worked with but we could not get inside. It was recorded at the old Biltmore property in the Clearwater/Largo area. Those buildings are gone now. I had to wait till 2003 to see Bob D.
There is no words he is awesome

hahaha, Neuworth supposed to be terminally cool, he is really gakking out up there during Masterpiece.....I think Rob Stoner is the bass players, he and the drummer are very good, they hold the entire thing together
Neuworth's vocals were almost all carefully removed from the recent Rolling Thunder box set release
Well said everyone 👏
Love the guy and his music ❤️
WHEN YOU GOT NOTHING YOU GOT NOTHING TO LOSE
Aside from the time he was nearly killed, the 70s were gold for Bob.
Read around , i left the road of buffolo, we had to be, t rex back on my belly, everything beautiful, when i paint my master piece
One of my enlightened song, how does it feel to be on your o we n, nobody taught how to live on the street but now you got to get used to it. You never came around to see the clowns and all the tricks they played for you. How does it feel to be on your own like a 🥐 Ng stone

Hearing Joan Baez sing "Diamonds and Rust," the masterpiece she wrote about her relationship with Dylan brings chills to the spine, it's that good.

IT IS HALF PAST 6 I HAVE WASHED MY LONG HAIR IN THE POT WALKED A DOG MADE FIRE IN MY STOWE OUTSIDE WILL BE RAINING SO I HAVE TO PLANT BEANS I AM OK NOW I AM JUST SMOKING AND LISTENING TO YOU BOB HONEY
This is GOLD. Thankfully I did get to see Bob & The Band at MSG 2 years earlier but I wish I had the chance to see him in a smaller venue like this. I had a buddy when we were in our teens back in the early 70s, who with me, we were the big Dylan freaks in SHeepshead Bay Brooklyn. We used to lock our other friends in his bedroom and not let anyone out until they heard Desolation Row, Visions.... and other classics over and over until they admitted they loved it. This would take 2 or 3 hours and several bowls of Colombian weed. WHat a blast.
