    Thanks Simon for sharing a bit more of your pottery wisdom, I like the flat bottom plates and was going to try it out, but I have followed your example and have been trimming mine with a foot, and I haven’t had problems with them cracking, so I’ll keep following your advice.

    Great video, Simon! Do you throw these on a bat? I would love a video of that process. I’ve seen you lift plates directly from the wheelhead but I don’t have that skill (yet!).

    I also found a book called "A Potter's Book" by a gentleman named Bernard Leach.
    Might you and he be related?
