His introduction in The Force Awakens was PERFECT. After an already sweet Han and Leia reunion, him cutting in front is so C-3PO. And the comic where he got his red arm is also a great story that's surprisingly emotional.

Holy shit dude, wtf?! That was him?? I almost didn’t recognize him. Now I gotta watch The Force Awakens again to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I remember before they filmed the movie that they’ve announced C-3PO was going to be in the movie and when I watched it for the 1st time, I thought to myself; “Wait? I thought C-3PO was supposed to come out in this movie?” I left the theater disappointed and misled.
As Honest Trailer says, "The only consistent character in all 9 movies."
