    Because of the purity of the Tibana gas, green bolts are more powerful and more expensive. That's why the Droids are being launched like someone shot them with a shotgun point-blank, and it also shows how wealthy Naboo is.

      And Naboo Guards shooting past each other shows that they're a paramilitary organization that is barely professional. They are good shots, I must admit, but their unit cohesion and trigger discipline is just bad. Risking lots of friendly fire.

They remind me of myself playing football in gym class. I was fast, but never actually played football, so I just ran where everyone else was going. Naboo probably hasn't had to fight in centuries. That really underscores why the clone army was so necessary in the Clone Wars.

    The key to the lightsaber cutting droids looking good is that there was nothing on set, so they could do whatever sweet spinning execution they want and there WILL be a battle droid there to get rekt. Those 4 guys in the back that you asked if they were duros are actually nemoidians without the big fancy hat, which we don't see very often. We are so used to seeing gunray so much that we forget what a hatless nemoidian looks like.
    If I remember correctly, nemoidians and duros have a shared ancestor too. They separated at some point and evolved further separately

  • @tk-6967
    @tk-6967 Рік тому +60

    5:09 Those are Neimodians. The reason Neimodians look similar to Duros is because Neimodians and Duros are related to each other and it is theoretically possible for them to mate. Lore wise Duro are often mistaken for Neimodians, who have a bad reputation amongst both the oppressed Outer Rim Separatists and the wealthy humanocentric Republic Loyalists thanks to Trade Federation higher ups being Neimodians. As such, Duro and Neimodians are often looked down upon, and Duro try to distance themselves from and also look down upon Neimodians. As for the idea that these are 'Separatists', the Separatist movement is not to be created for another 8 years, and the Battle of Naboo is a major factor in creating the movement because it put on display that the Republic was willing to allow the Trade Federation to occupy even Mid Rim worlds. While Palpatine had created the Naboo crisis, the Separatist position would have been legitimate even without him, he was simply stirring up tensions to manipulate the soon-to-be CIS for his own benefit, and the death of Qui Gon Jinn caused by the Republic's unwillingness to help the Naboo people pushed Dooku firmly to Sidious' side.

    The droids falling apart was from shockwave of explosion forcing them to the ground. The physics are legit, but also they are fragile. 2:00 they are being hit by a powerful blast wave from an explosion. Things that kill people and can disable electronics and mechanics irl. It's bot just being knocked over.

    Fthe reason B1 battle droids fall apart so easily is because they are held together magnetically.

    To answer your question on why some blaster blast happen before the color hits is because blasters originally where laser weapons the lore at the time was the color was the end of the shot but it was a nightmare to edit so eventually when plasma guns became popular blasters became plasma guns and they made the colored part the actual shot which made edits easier.

    Cannot believe you missed out the part where Padmai switches guns to shoot the window in and it still uses the sound queue for her silver side arm

  • @Reching_Bahl
    @Reching_Bahl 10 місяців тому +1

    15:20 I think there is only one guard with an extra gun. You can see him starting to get it out as their climbing out the window and it's because Padme needed it to ascend to the next level. You can see she switched to that gun until they are captured moments later and you can see she has her original gun holstered on her belt. I'm guessing the prop dept. only made one version of the cable gun for the stunt and then someone thought that Padme should have her own special gun so they had to find a solution as to why her gun changes. As for Panaka his gun just appeared on his belt while they were using the cables so I can't explain that one.

    10.30 all of the figures are 'comped in' because the whole set was just a green/blue screen room. the actors were all computered into the scene which is why it looks a little bit weird.

    All blaster rifles has an automatic setting. But for the same reason as IRL, they keep it in semi-auto for some reason... they have like 300 charges in the gas cartridges or something.
