These connectors are often called Type A Hirschmann's (THEY ALWAYS BREAK - unplug them enough times and even brand new ones fail), but little known fact is that you can repin them and swap with newer style Type B SealStar Hirschmann connectors. Obviously you have to swap also sensors to newer style, but these are relatively cheap used and enable very easy swap to 3.5BAR TMAPs ;)
Hey there is the Low Pressure code P142E ? I ask as mine have a ton off mods . Stage 2 turbos Inter-cooled all the piping I added a Catch can etc etc. but when I boost it sputters a lot and throws the P142E code . Ps I did the Vanos Solenoids and all that as well .
For people struggling with low fuel pressure I solved to problems I'd like to share there's a grey fuse box near the ecu they have fuses in them for the injectors not sure which ones but on replacing two blown 20 amp fuses I had power to the injectors the next problem I had was cylinder 1 activation it turned out to be a bad plug hope this advice may help someone else obviously I'm talking about the bmw 520d,320d,118d etc etc
Not sure if this is an issue, looking at the DTC they are "history" not "current". So why the fix? I have a similar issue with my volvo xc90 but it wasn't the fuel pump, it was the failure in the pump module (PEM) this trigged an error code for the fuel pressure sensor as well as fuel pump. The fuel pump and sensor are ok, it's just the cascading effect on how they are dependent on each other.
Hey got an issue with mine, directly after flashing some different mhd flash setting my car staryed and sralled, thinking it was a flash issue i spent the next 3 hours flaahing different maps trying to fix ir, turns out it was my low pressure pumps fuse, i replaced it and car srarted but was im limp mode, now i my rail pressure is equal to low pressure, coukd this be coinsurance or do you think my hpfp took a crap in that exact moment? Seems abit odd to me if the hpfp died like like randomly
Hey, I have a 2010, N54 powered E60 that seems to be giving me the run for my money lol The low pressure fuel pump was changed, mostly because of evap codes coming from the fuel filter side. The car never ran right after the fact and was parked for about nine months, I went on to scan it again and realized that the EKPS had gone bad, I went out to an E9X BMW and purchased another one and got it recoded with my tablet. The car ran for the first time in almost a year, and ran and drove for about four days back to back. The car eventually decided to not run again and had been parked since So currently there is a new fuel pump assembly, a brand new battery, and fresh gas. I keep getting the code: “00651B - suction jet pump fault” “00A0B4 - CAS - Engine start, starter operation” I am completely stumped at this point, I don’t even know what else to check. Please help lol
2DED usually means you have some kind of battery drain. For example I was getting that code a lot from my comfort access handles draining battery a little bit.
Hello there 50s kid, great fan of yours and been watching your videos for a long time from my E46 to E92 now, you've been helping me a lot on my DIY maintenance. Recently I've been experiencing long cranks regardless the car is warm or cold. I've read fuel pressure when pump on (INPA) and car off, reading was fluctuating at 36 PSI, does it indicate a bad pump of bad sensor?
Did you ever figure it out? I have an 07 bmw 335i with same issue no misfire no hard start or long crank. Just the code. I was about to try the low pressure sensor but saw your comment lol. Also my fuel pressure is at 66psi so id say it’s ok
“I didnt have to do any of this” 😭😂😂 Bro youre killing me over here 🤣🤣 Im in the same boat 😭 with trying to fix issues that arent there but its good preventive maintenance haha
Just something to note the battery voltage looks low. I’ve had a few German cars now and they all hate when a battery is low or weak. Just wanna make sure that’s not throwing you a weird curve ball
Man you have to stumble across this one, ISTA at times accasionally pops up this fault with fuel pressure. In the end its a test plan that never ever worked out (its a phony one) and allot of people replaced the fuel rail sensor (which is kind of a waste of time). Your better off upgrading the integration level. The low pressure fuel pump lasts a fairly long time, I would probably only replace it if its dead. Just saying in the US the car parts industry must be making big bank since so many parts are getting replaced way before they even get a chance to fail, allot of e-waste generated sadly.
Really good video. What year is your 335i? I was very excited for the moment of truth and kinda bummed it didn't cure yours. I am having pretty similar symptoms, I get cylinder injection cutout 29DC at full throttle when the car is warm, it starts running rough immediately but when I turn it off and back on, it smoothens out. My pressure readings are even worse, as of yesterday, 2400 hpa at idle which is about 34 psi when in fact, it should be near 72 psi. Had almost pressed the button on low pressure sensor and pump before watching this, but now gonna wait it out. lol ... cause the only other item that may be at fault is hpfp, which is about $900!
@@thedailyshorts3728 terribly sorry for missing this. I did replace the low pressure fuel sensor and it made the cut-outs become seldom as opposed to often. Made a video measuring fuel pressure sensors before and after also, if I can just find it. The PSI on the low side jumped to its nominal value of 72 psi as it should be. Problem, however, would still occur on longer drives though. I think I narrowed it down to the Piezoelectric injectors. Mine seemed to have been meddled with I discovered, I had one index 12 and the other 5 were a mix of index 10s and some other can't recall. Also noticed that the coding on them did not match in ISTA so I recoded them. But that didn't fix anything. Of other electrical things I noticed, my battery AH in the car ECU did not match installed battery, so I recoded that too. This was me setting the baseline really. The only thing left to do was injectors and hpfp, and given the mismatched injectors, I figured there was a greater chance of them being faulty. I've since sold the car for a less fussier but still twin turbo-ed bimmer. :D
Hi kid, my e60 just started sputtering while accelerating. I've looked on line and wondered if you had any ideas based on your experience. It does it cold or warm and started noticing on highway. Thanks!
Don’t have an e90 but still like to watch your vids
All’s well that ends well. Good work, Jason.
Loving the E90 content. Not hoping you have problems, but I wouldn't exacly be upset if you know what I mean. Thx

I got ISTA telling me to change my fuel quantity control valve on a 320D with an N47.
Any guide on how to do that? Is it hard?

I like the new startup.
thank you for all you do from a 60s kid ! BOOGZ
I have 2AAF since 5 years, car is running fine. It is ok to ignore this.
Did you ever figure this out? I’m having same issue but since I’m trying to sell I need to fix it 😬
Thank you for getting touch with launch ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼
Nice intro, love it! I'm your #1 fan... greetings from Guatemala City (Central America)
Wow - a BRAND new opening/intro... :)
Do you watch pine hollow auto diagnostics? He tests the he part, definitely would recommend that. Love your videos.

Nice work with the intro! Thanks for another super heplful video :)
Nice intro mate. Getting all professional.
+1 for the new intro here too! Looks awesome!

Just curious, why is everyone on UA-cam buying the new style woth adapter when the old one is still available?
I have a 2002 bmw 330i witch gas do i need to use? Is 93 better for the engine or i can use 87. Any suggestions. Thanks
Hey man, did you figure out or fixed that low pressure problem I have the same issue same engine. Please help
Hey 50kid so if it’s running @ like 65 and when I hit it it goes to like 35-32 do you think it’s my lpfp or hpfp
69 psi is actual but I thought DME desired target is 72 psi (idle or high RPM)... Close enough or it is enough to throw the code?
2DED usually means you have some kind of battery drain. For example I was getting that code a lot from my comfort access handles draining battery a little bit.
Hey how you doing I have a 2002 BMW X5 and I’m wondering about the transmission
Great videos !! What scan tool are you using ?
It's a Launch X-431 Pro 3S+
Great learning point for all of use.
That must be a relief but man that is unfortunate.

i love that new intro!!!
A viewer sent that to me for free. I love it too!
@@50sKid that’s awesome i feel like it definitely fits the Channel a lot more, also I love the content keep up the great work!!!! 👍🏽
Hello, I already bought and installed the new bosch sensor and the problem continues to come up with the same 2AAF code, any advice?

Intro’s dope af 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I had a e92 and the hpfp was so bad the car shook while it was on. Granted not a cheap part but once replaced it ran like a champ.
Your videos literally helped me every step of the way on my e46. Thank you so much
Nice intro.
sick intro
Have you yet changed the LP fuel filter unit that’s in the other side of the gas tank? I’d like to see you do that. Thanks.
“This stuff is gold, paid a lot of money for it” 😂😂👌
“Dont be like me, trying to impress people” 😭🤣🤣

Great video
The plot twist 🥲
Most of the e90 are smoking and also I have realized that even 1 series of 116 to 118 are doing the same thing..what is the problem
Valve cover gasket… oil leaking on exhaust on the passenger side…
Can I check the fueL pressure with mhd ?
Great video! I've learned a lot from you!
What codes were you getting
On my car, a 2011 z4 the lpfp is in the bottom of the tank, behind the exhaust.
Did you sort out the fuel pump possibility code?
How many miles does your e90 have?
do you use premium gas on ur e46 and e90?
the end of the video got me 😂😂😂😂😂😂 this better work
What P code were you getting?

They sell lot of E46 oxygen sensors and MAF´s :D
@@aor3200 Yes unfortunately misconceptions cause allot of wastage, once they got your money, that is it. That is how the industry is, deception.
Is this easier on a non turbo engine?

It’s a 2007. You should replace your low pressure fuel sensor.
@shaazy hope you are well bro, what solved your issue?
What solved your issue? I have similar symptoms
@@50sKid I changed that already along with the lpfp, regulator and ekp

I've replaced the fuel pump twice for my E46 and the most hideous part of that job for sure is trying to get the new seal to seat in

Probably vanos solenoids. Do camshaft position sensors while you're at it. Fixing the same issue on my E46 m54 they're getting to that age
Love the new into!
hope your work worth it!!
Ours doesn’t drop down and trim faults.
🤣🤣sorry man. Was it misfiring or hesitating before this? You know what they say - if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
No, it was throwing a code -- that's what I was fixing.
you never got that problem solved
1700 psi.... N fuel pump is bad..... Iam lost.
I have a 2002 with a p1093 code any ideas what should it be. Any advice. Thanks
