    NOTE : The suction to be done on the syringe is near to 50ml if you are doing full oil immersed method follow the below link:

      Im rebuilding a hpfp for a 2010 mini cooper, the design looks very similar, would these gaskets work on it too?

    • @bimmerhacks
      @bimmerhacks  5 місяців тому

      @zBanditGuy it looks the same... Try the high temperature (brown color) O-ring which tight fits to the compressor springs. See my new video in the comment

    21:00 when I was cleaning this orifice I had some small chunks that came out that turns to like sand when u press on it a little bit, also after putting the diaphragm started to leak a little bit of oil, have encountered this? Also I use thinner oil 5/50 just to check but I think it needs a thicker oil to put inside . Any advice thanks

    • @bimmerhacks
      @bimmerhacks  6 місяців тому +1

      Thinner than 0w20 will be too light that it will not do the job of lubrication. If there is no lubrication there will be more wear and metal shavings will accumulate like sand. I think you can use 5w30 if you want thicker but too thicker might not work properly as the flow of oil has to be fast to compress the pistons. I had tried the thicker differential oil 3 years back and it was running fine, but one day out of curiosity I opened up and found that it was not lubricating as it should and was accumulating metal shavings.

    When I rebuilt mine I got it down to 14mm or so. Is this bad? Should I be aiming for 19mm only?

      The compressor x-ring I installed was not tight enough to hold the pressure. I re-did with high temperature O-rings n waiting for the result

      @bimmerhacks You happen to have a part number for the new o-rings you used?

      @bimmerhacks ok cool. Are you planning on doing any other o-rings? Like the solenoid or the housing?

    • @bimmerhacks
      @bimmerhacks  2 дні тому

      Solenoid and housing were fine in all the HPFP that I have seen. If you use aftermarket one for the housing it will start leaking soon

  • @sixdays77

    Do you have some part numbers for seals or measurements? Specs needed for company what makes o-rings and x-rings

    • @bimmerhacks
      @bimmerhacks  6 місяців тому +1

      Please see description for sizes.
      Part number is shop specific so I don't think it will work in your area, those are listed below
      Hpfp x-ring - 37757
      Oil seal 62856

    I rebuild my pump and i hade 19mm on dighprha..
    But i put back and its stil dånt wanna work shows me same fault code 29F2 hight pressure fuel system.
    And this only code left. Car starts and can drive but right away comes limp mode and halvs engine pic.
    And feels like missfire. I head the pressure and its same pressure as before

    • @bimmerhacks
      @bimmerhacks  4 місяці тому +1

      It might have trapped air or oil might be leaking from the HPFP. When u installed the o-ring/x-ring might be loose or got cut!!!

    • @deffbichsweet2461
      @deffbichsweet2461 4 місяці тому

      When I put o rings they go Smooth
      And i pulled 19mm and i left little bit in pil to take in all oil in on wake up the digrahp. And I check after 1 hour oil level was same. After i pulled more oil in.

    • @bimmerhacks
      @bimmerhacks  4 місяці тому

      @@deffbichsweet2461 O-ring must be tight fit. As you might have noticed the original O-ring was so tight that it was difficult to get it out. When the HPFP turns it makes more pressure inside and the tendency of oil to push out will increase

    Hello, good friend, I have bought 3 pumps since they come defective, supposedly new ones that have a 27mm membrane, do they all come empty of oil? thank you

    • @bimmerhacks
      @bimmerhacks  6 місяців тому +1

      ua-cam.com/video/XR-Z9Tg46xA/v-deo.htmlsi=pibuPxaZTn9wx__Z
      As I explained in this video 27mm means there is no oil pressure inside the HPFP, it might have oil in it if fuel didn't penetrate in but NO USE.
      If you're repairing go for fully immersed method which I recommend rather than filling oil through oil seal. U can install the oil seal at the end same as I have shown in this video once all other parts has been installed immersing in oil.
      Vacuum must not exceel 40ml on a 60-100ml syringe

    • @moisesgonzalez8103

      great then 100% these pumps are pressurized internally with oil and their optimal and long-lasting operation is the load of oil to lubricate these internal parts, what I don't understand is why the new pumps do not have this pressurization, I imagine low quality Chinese production, this Chinese pump, is it possible to fill it with oil and make it work correctly? Thank you very much for the info

      @@moisesgonzalez8103 open it up and see. Don't buy refurbished one, when you rotate the itself you can feel a grinding sense. Buy junkyard one and fix if your diaphragm or any springs are leaking.

    • @bimmerhacks
      @bimmerhacks  7 місяців тому

      This was done 2 weeks back. I had done similar fix 3 years back and its still running fine and crossed 25k miles. If the pressure inside the hpfp is higher then there is more possibility of early failure
