I gotta say as a Filipino, whatever it is as long as it's edible for us to eat, it will always be partnered with rice lol.
Kahit hindi pa yan ulam , inuulam pa din HAHAHA
(BearBrand+Rice! Iconic 😆)
Trooo..cracklings+rice 🤣💖
Even nuts we eat with rice hahahaha
Kanin + Toyo + Mantika= instant adobo 😅
@@ellaangelatv7577 hahaha chichirya nga inuulam e.
I eat this with super cold coke. For me, chicken + rice + gravy + Coca cola = Perfect combination.
eto talaga solid, iba talaga lasa ng coke pag eto yung combi eh HAHAHHA
Tapos = type 1 or 2 diabetes
Other word for type 2 diabetes is insulin resistance. Where the insulin isn't working properly or lack of insulin thereby increasing blood sugar in the blood.
Agreed
Asians are known for rice. But come on, South East Asians, particularly Filipinos, eat it 3 times a day, everyday. If you guys know about the IRRI(International Rice Research Institute) many foreign countries studies there to improve their rice, that includes Korea. Because the climate in central Asia is cold and they have problems with it, so they studied different kinds of grains that grows on cold climate.
Most Filipinos don't consider it a meal if there's no rice no matter what it is. A whole chicken, pizza, burgers with a bunch of fries, bread. Nope. Not a meal. Just a huge snack lol
.
Spaghetti with rice.... Rice with burger patty... Coffee or Milo with overcooked rice... Durian Jam with Rice...
pickled plum with rice!
ay sorry japanese pala yun
that huge snack part is so true. Filipinos won't consider it as a meal if there will be no rice. HAHA
I agree as a Filipino it's just a snak without the rice because it hits different with the filipinos
Thats really the secret of filipino dishes .Any kind of pinoy dishes must be eaten like this and must have sawsawan with chili and calamansi.Especially sinigang or adobo.Bravo Jessica.
Coke really plays a big role in this meal especially in fast food chains.
Prefered iced tea with less sugar than carbonated drinks. Coke = hello diabetis.
👍but I prefer ice tea
Yep, the acidity is to cut into the saltiness and oiliness, elevating the overall satisfaction
Float: *am I a joke to you?*
@Tomas Cuay not that really. But how many rice that you eat. But when you compared rice and cola. Cola is much dangerous
Jessica Lee should let them taste it with her home cooked GARLIC RICE!
That Sylvia never forget lol. Because of magic sarap hahaha
We eat chicken without rice if it’s for “pulutan” (like spicy chicken wings). But since it’s not really an ideal pulutan i have to agree that, yes chicken and rice is how Pinoys fill up at mealtimes.
And if not sisig, chicken feet are always for pulutan. The spicier, the better.
@@rebel6491 agree. Spicier the better when it comes to downing alcohol or beer.
Yes, 'cause why eat it with beer when you can get your fill eating it with rice? To think that it's more expensive than the usual pulutan choices. And you'd hear your Filipino mom's voice in your head, "Huwag mong papakin!"
@@Muichiro_020 your Mom’s right Hahaha.
Ngl..if i see chiken wings for pulutan.im gonna look or order rice..lol
as a Filipina, I can say that whatever is edible to eat, we'll eat it with rice. Even coffee. I also loved partnering deserts with rice LOL
Ice Cream + rice 😌
Masarap yung coco jam na parang caramel pagkakaluto at rice
I remember when we went to Seoul, when we visited Two-Two Chicken place and BHC, we ordered rice too 😂 I didn’t know that its too uncommon to Koreans 😂 Rice is life.
Same! Haha. We would order from Two Two near our hostel and eat it at the hostel commissary. The staff of the hostel found it weird we ate chicken with rice
We did it too when we went to bhc. Every ulam is not masarap pag walang rice
There's a tantalizing eyes of Jessica introduced Pilipino food she's really like Pilipino hopefully we have deeper friendship from Korean and Pilipino. 🥰🥰🥰
“That’s how much Filipinos love rice.”
Me a Filipino: “ah yes, every Filipino household you walk into there’s a rice cooker or pot of rice in the kitchen.”
I’m Chinese and I live with my brother and his Filipina wife. We eat rice every day, every dinner. We get Jollibee’s every so often.
@@taoist32 Do you guys pray to the altar of the rice God, when you visit them?
This is obviously a joke.
Dalawa samin💀minsan pag mag guest 2 ginagamit
Just like any Asian country. Haha 🤣 It's a must have!
Fried chicken is more of a snack in SK. In the PH its a viand. I was so shocked when we were in Boracay there were 2 unnies who finished the whole lechong manok just for themselves. 😳 that could already feed a family.
Wow. O.O Did they at least have salad?
I was guilty...hahaha
Me and my little sister can eat a whole chicken. We're not that fat but I think...it was just normal to eat a whole chicken only by two person. We often buy 2 - 3 whole chicken for the whole fam. I am 16 yrs old and my sister is 13...we really love roasted chicken "lechong manok". hahaha
@@laraira9907 Growing kids. 😁
Kaya ko din ubusin yun basta walang kanin.
I mean, I think most Filipinos could do that. But I think we just won't be satisfied without any rice partnered into it.
I personally think we are weird ones though. Majority of the world eats chicken alone, without any rice. I think we are one of the few ones who don't.
I really love the way she explains our culture on how we put the gravy on our rice as sabaw and sets our expectations that Koreans would find it uncommon. I'd really love to have a Korean friend in real life.
when jessica said gravy is “SABAW” i was like oh my god jessica is pinoy 😍😍😍
Rice + chicken + gravy + coke = perfect combination! That’s why every fast food chain here have meals like that because its really popular and normalize.
I gotta give appreciation to this channel for being an informative and honest one in introducing Filipino culture, food and traditions to Koreans and those other Nationalities watching as well. I find the reactions and the way it was presented wholesome. Thank you!
It's really nice to see Jessica and Sylvia unnie outside their own channels 🥰
In Thailand, i was surprised when mcdonald's serves chicken with rice as well, but different sauce, sweet sauce.
Let other koreans try Sisig and Crispypata or Tasting Filipino Alcohol like Redhorse and SanMiguel
im sure they would do that too but one meal at a time xD and maybe i think its too expensive for them so I hope we dont skip ads so they can afford those things next
Crispy pata is effin disgusting. Kadiri! 🤢 Dont mind sisig though it's delish.
@@krakenwindzstorm961 Lol it's not.
@@krakenwindzstorm961 what's so disgusting about crispypata? 💀
when the other guy said he needs cola! i agree. watching this makes me want to drink lots of coke! love how jessica introduced this combo to them, look at how proud jessica is when she saw that they actually find it tasty too. such a filipino at heart vibe. 👏🏼🥺💞
Thank you Jess for letting them try the filipino chicken w/ rice 🍗🍚.
Love their reactions again ..
I only put the gravy on chicken, never on rice. That's way better for me as the rice and chicken don't get overpowered by the taste of the gravy. Among all, I like chicken joy the most. I agree with KFC's being too salty but their gravy is the best.
i only put the chicken on the rice, never on gravy. That's way worse for you as the chicken and gravy gets underpowered by the taste of the rice. Among some, I like chicken sad the least. I disagree with KFC's being too sweet but their gravy is the worst
@@yuuji3795 lmao this guy is a madlad. Respect my good sir
@@yuuji3795 i died of laughter reading this
@@yuuji3795 💀
Yeah me too. Just use the gravy as sawsawan. Because for me putting it on rice would make the meal too salty.
I love the girl who said that the two other guy is weird, cause that’s exactly I was thinking. Hahaha I mean if that’s oily and salty for them they might just eat(drink) “water”
I loved the expression on their faces when ate jessica explained that most Filipinos pour the entire gravy on to the rice 😆 yup, it's a must! Also i really enjoy this series! ❣
When eating this kind of food, soda goes well with it. So nice to see that you let your Korean friends experienced the Filipino way of eating chicken with rice😊
I enjoyed seeing more Sylvia and Bokyung (Of course Jessica). Are Koreans Always this Pretty?
It's so nice to see their reaction coz it's genuine 💕 more of this series pls 🙏
Sylvia clapping when the food arrives is too adorable. Anyone notice Jessica gulping a lot? Must be hard to explain while others eat🤣
A regular chicken joy menu in Jollibee comes with rice, gravy and a drink of your choice. Jollibee's chicken and rice combo still the best 😊
We mostly ate everything with rice. Just like what Jessica said, "WALANG RICE, WALANG LIFE". The reason why most Filipino foods are salty.
Bokyung is so so so pretty, she have the resemblance to the leading lady in Love Alarm.
Thank you for promoting our culture, tradition ❤️ love to see other foreign people love our food , everything related in our identity as a Filipino
Ah yes yes, as a Filipino myself I can confirm that we always eat like that. We love rice, we can't have dinner or breakfast like this. Also you don't need gravy sauce to make the rice and the chicken taste like heaven. It already taste like heaven!! In every fast food restaurants in the Philippines, they always serve with rice. For example, in Mang Inasal and Jollibee.
The most common boneless chicken would be fillet I think, speaking of fast foods.
let them try lechon, lechong kawali, crispy pata, and sisig with different san miguel beers soon! hihi
Rice is life po sa pinas 🍚.
Kahit walang ulam basta may rice ,ayos na. 😊
Naranasan kong mag ulam ng tubig na may asukal para lang may lasa ung kanin xd
Basta masarap ang kanin kahit walang ulam solve na.
Kahit wisik-wisik lang ng toyo ok na.
I appreciate the guys honesty! For me, honesty is preferred over false flattery. If you don't like the taste, that's okay. Just be honest, in my opinion. What matters is that you're respectful about it.
I really love that Jessica introduce and explain it very well thanks Jessica 💙💙
Nakaka proud this girls Jessica and Sylvia♥️🇵🇭
For episodes covering meals like this, maybe it would be better to give them a regular soda like coke or iced tea like how it would typically be served in the ph
Jessica has a heart of a true filipino. The way she says "it (chix with rice) looks amazing for me". I feel proud of her. More content like this please! 짱!
You may able to eat chicken alone for at least 1 piece, yet after that, you may ask for a rice to partner with it. 🤤
I would want to appoint Jessica as Philippine food ambassador to Korea. 😅
I love how unnie jessica 😊 features filipino cultures on her vlog. Kasi nga Filipino din ako 😅☺. More power to you ate!
Fried chicken and Filipino style spaghetti is also a great combo. Pinoy chicken is leans from salty to garlicky flavor, partner with sweet flavor of of pinoy spaghetti complement each other.
Sylvia's reaction when she see the food being served... 👏👏👏 "it's coming" is so like every kid getting their own chicken joy 😊😄😁
You have to have Filipino Fried Chicken from Jollibee, KFC, McDonalds or even Andoks’s! There is definitely a flavor difference! It could also be the rice too!
I saw this vid randomly after binge witching Jessica's new vid. Actually I'm eating 2pcs Chicken Joy with Rice from Jollibee. KEKEKE
Bokyung is the prettiest girl i've ever seen. And she has so lovely smile. 😍
Love you Jessica, you're such an amazing woman who love to introduce the filipino food..very touching..❤❤❤
Yes it's best with kimchi! Once I've tried it for the first time with McDonald's chicken, I can't eat without kimchi HAHAHAHA chicken + rice + kimchi = ❤️
It makes me so proud and happy when I see foreigners eat your food from your country and they actually like it

bokyung is 😍💚
Ang Galing na mag tagalog ni Sylvia Hahaha Nice Video Ate Jessica I Hope more Video pa😊💞💙❤
Had Jollibee on Thursday and I can confirm I drank the gravy like a soup when the chicken finished xD Jollibee chicken without the gravy is not jollibee anymore :') and yes rice is a must hahaha if we have fried chicken at home, the marinate can be salty to we eat it with rice and spicy banana ketchup (for me anyway)
This is SO fun to watch! It reminds me of the Korean Englishman channel but this one resonates with me more because I'm a Filipino. I hope you'll continue to do this!!!
Bokyung has a good smile
I dont know why I am so happy and satisfied watching every reactions when they tasted Our Filipino foods from spaghetti unto here. I was so proud that I commonly eating this but a new taste to them☺ Thank you Korean Ate Jessica🥰 You were too good!
as a filipino, it feels illegal to eat fried chicken without rice HAHAHAHAHAHAH
I hope this series continue with more episodes! I love seeing their reactions to Filipino foods that I'm familiar with 😁❤️
If the chicken wasn't salty then it might be cooked wrong, that's why we eat it with rice just to balance it out while popping up the flavor.
Wow really Good to know that they Love our food 🥰🥰 please Come to Philippines taste more Food here and also try Balot 😁😁
It really does taste best with cola on the side 🤤
We want more videos like this☺️ proud Filipino here🇵🇭 thankyou ate Jessica for sharing our Filipino food☺️
Actually we do eat chicken alone here, maybe just snacks for some of us hahahahahah actually without rice, everything is like just a snack lmao
Jessica's like, why you didn't give me a food you know I'm drooling about thos kind of food, can't take my eyes of it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I appreciate this channel because I enjoy watching videos in which people from other cultures react to Filipino culture/ food. I feel proud to be a Filipino. I have a feeling this channel will go viral one day. I'd like to see more content in the future. ;)
I eated like jollibee chicken here at philippines so many times and I’m a big fan of oily food so I love chicken even more
Hope to see ate bokyung again🥰
Hi Jessica, I enjoyed watching how your Korean friends will like the Filipino style of eating fried chicken with rice & sauce.Yes,they should try to eat the real fried chicken with sauce from Philippines.Thank you.
Truly enjoyable to watch. Jessica is such a good host.
i love how you share your experiences with pinoy culture despite the issue of pinoys and koreans on a war because of some, toxicpinoy bashing the south korea's pride. maganda siya ate
i’m falling in love with hojun voice ❤️
Omooo! Sylvia and bokyung together with Jessica, oh myyyy!!! Hopefully next time may content sila nila kristel and moy . Huehue
Sylvia saying “Tagay!” at 3:43 before eating the chicken&rice hahahaha 😎
I love Cynthia's comment. So natural
the moment the chickenj joy and gravy and coke is in your table, you just can't help but to smile HAHAHAHH
Rice is paired with every single dish for us. I absolutely love how it balance the flavor whenever the dish is too much for me and for us who struggle to buy food, rice is a savior for saving dishes since you cant always finish it unless you have many people eating it so you'll mostly end up having to eat the same dish with rice for lunch or dinner again.
Im really not kidding when we say we love and eat it with everything rice 😅 my grandma use to tell me to put rice in her coffee when she doesnt feel like eating any dish.
Im a. Filipino and I supported Korea and I love your vid 💪💪💪💪✅✅

Im laughing when sylvia saw the chicken and rice coming and his mind say "yes this is it my time has come"
6:50 I sooo agree with her, I want boneless jollibee chickenjoy 😭😭
Jollibee has chicken fingers in the us but not in the Philippines but I believe they’re using white meat for it coz it tastes milder than the regular chickenjoy + it’s more expensive :
Koreans are really appreciative. I love Koreans, fighting! : )
Jaewook Lee! my MAN! when he said he loves oily food which is why he loved this i was like YOOO!! EXACTLY MY GUY! YOU GET IT

we eat almost anything with rice. fried chicken with rice, riped mango with rice, coffee with rice, soy sauce on rice, salt sprinkled on rice, noodles with rice, even chips with rice 😆😆😆
