  • In this video, you will join me along an exciting eurovelo 8 bikepacking trip as I woke up refreshed at Cremona Hotel at 7 am, with my knee feeling better. I decided to check out the cozy backyard of the hotel and then headed to the hotel breakfast, which offered high-quality packaged food. After a short nap, I packed up and prepared to leave the hotel, although my legs felt heavy and sore. The hot weather and headwind made it quite challenging.
On my way to Cremona Square, I noticed real estate ads and took a moment to check out the prices. As I arrived at the city center, I was captivated by the grandeur of the square's big cathedral, which had no door, allowing anyone to hear the church concert from outside. I then made a stop at a nearby park to fill up my Brompton tires.
After my nap, I continued my journey towards Piacenza. The heat was unbearable, to the point that even my iPhone shut down on its own. I encountered a setback on a dead-end road with a fallen tree, forcing me to backtrack a few kilometers. At this point, I started considering booking a stay in Alexandria the next day due to work and the forecasted rainy weather.
Upon reaching Piacenza, I noticed graffiti that made it apparent that staying overnight wouldn't be safe. At a Lidl store, I bought refreshments but had to leave my bike at the counter. In the Lidl parking lot, I enjoyed peaches and single-serve ice cream, a novelty for me in Italy.
At 6 pm, I started searching for a camping spot, aiming to adhere to my new rule of setting up camp one hour before sunset.
Finally, I stumbled upon a lovely camping spot. To protect myself from bugs, I devised a makeshift bug net using my folded Brompton bike and a hammock bug net.
The bug net helped keep insects at bay, although it was a bit too close to my face. Nevertheless, it was better than being fully exposed throughout the night. I simply had to stay still and fixed with my head all night.

Hi, thanks for stoping by. Mirror is some noname chinese i bought in episode 3 in bikeshop in Trieste. Dont see a thing with it, but gives me some glimpse of coming vehicles 5m far away. Lights are called Moon Nebula, probably wont be available in us. Its pretty strong and lasts few days of blinking. But useless if used as front light.
