Keep the music on intro and outro but turn it down a notch. Then leave it as low as possible during the ride. The sound of the bike and surroundings are more important.
I did a track day on my bike and it was the last time I rode. Not because anything bad happened- I absolutely loved it. I just lost all desire to ride on the street afterwards. If you have any inkling to ride fast it's a must to get to the track.
About to buy my first Big Bike a CBR650R and am on a promise for some Track Day instruction from my sons mate who’s ex BSB and WSBK so really whetted my appetite for the track day! 👍
@@motorcyclenewsdotcom Thanks, it's just because I'm soon going to be able to get my A2 and I'm currently on a supersport kind of 125 with aggressive positions which makes it easy to get your knee down and go fast round the bends. Wondering since this bike is sort of like a mix of a sports and tourer how aggressive it feels and if it's well suited to the track to go fast. I would like to do track days and some fast riding on the street as well as casual commuting and some long distance now and again. Cheers.
@@CFGamingCentral The CBR is great for tackling the commute, touring and trackdays. It's handling is very stable and predictable (especially with the Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tyres I've fitted) and there's plenty of ground clearance for track riding. That said, there are plenty of more aggressive options, but they will be nowhere near as comfortable as the CBR for everyday riding or touring. I recently rode to Porto and back (bit.ly/2GxtQHm) with luggage absolutely no problem. Hope that helps, all the best. Ben.
@@motorcyclenewsdotcom Could you compare the CBR650R to the CBR500R (2016 and newer)? Is it worth the jump to upgrade from the 500R, as I am thinking of doing?
@@Sepheriel 2cyl 48hp A2 bike vs ~93hp 4cyl. 500R cheaper to run and maintain, 650R sounds better and goes way faster. But i can't for the life of me deal with the switched places for turn signal and horn 😂 Ninja 650 is a good middle ground of these two bikes imo with 68hp, but the 650R is one step above when i tried it. The insurance skyrocket for me though due to the 4 cyl engine 😅

It's a 650F where everything is just that little bit better. It's also more versatile, and looks alot better. Is it worth the upgrade, yes. If that's your thing. Is it a radically different bike, no but it's a big improvement overall on what was essentially a very good bike. 👍
Lower the pegs, raise the clip on height and get a higher windscreen and viola you've got your perfect sports tourer. PS: Anyway, Fireblade is still the most street focussed sports bike of them all🙂
It's a great bike to ride hard. Sporty enough to be fun but relaxed enough to look after you. You can feel like you're closer to the limit more easily than on bigger, more serious sportsbikes. Ben
@@scottsmith491 Even with an update, Honda would have to price it competitively with the refresh of the 636. And, at $9999, with what we know about Honda, they just wouldn't come close to that price.
Why does your channel keep on ruining videos by putting awful soundtracks over your videos? Let us hear the engine roar!

I can't agree more. Nothing ruins a motovlog like cheesy licence-free music over top of all of the good bits we want to hear.

so the video was about your experience on a track day and some memories of the past. bad titling, thanks for wasting my time.
Hello. And how about brakes, are they effective and enough on track?
He didn't even talk once about anything to do with the bike just about the bloody track.
Sorry Christian, this video was intended to be more about attending a trackday than the bike. What would you like to know? Ben

man this bike is awesome
Where you driving CBR with OEM Dunlop D214 tires? I’d be surprised if you were, especially on the wet track
Would also like to test it on the track!
Thanks for the review!
Ditch the music.
You can't hear the music or the bike well.
It is just annoying.
What's this "track" you speak of? Are there any near the autobahn where I live in Germany? I've never seen any...
I feel like almost every video posted by MCN features rainfall.

Very misleading video title.
good power
Honda quality
Does anyone know the difference between the 650R and the 650F

I think 12 lbs of weight. They lose the single headlight which I love.
13000 rpms instead of 12

99% track review 1% something about the actual bike ...
Where did he say he was reviewing the bike? Some people are on here to see how their bike would hold up on a track day.
