This is pulled from my last video - here are all the stats. My tires are at 37PSI right now Hey Alex - the original stock tires on your TRD were 265/70 R16’s. Your new tires are LT265/75 R16’s. They’re a larger diameter tire - close to 33’s - and have a more aggressive tread - this gives you higher ground clearance without rubbing. Anything larger would probably rub with stock suspension. You haven’t experienced rubbing, so it appears to work. They were a great choice for your truck and should give you excellent traction in the dirt and snow. Have Fun!
It's cool bouncing through your vids. Getting to this one and seeing just how confident you've become is so awesome! Way to go! Just got my Jeep a few months ago and can't wait to get out on some more trails. I've done Gross Res, and Santa Fe trail so far, but eager to do more.
I'd HIGHLY recommend some quality chains. The good ones go on by just wrapping around your tires- my best time for installing both is just over 4 minutes, so they aren't a big deal, but can save your arse when things get "spicy", either on purpose or surprises happen or the weather changes. I live in the edge of the Colorado mountains, on a steep road, and on my road have seen 3 vehicles on their roof, 1 on it's side, and 4 in the ditch.
I'm the guy that mentioned the flat spots, that's my only complaint so far, otherwise, I'm happy with them. I've driven them in the rain and no issues there, now I've been curious about how they will perform in the snow, and you gave me a sneak peek. Thanks Alex!
That trail has some gorgeous views. Looks like Tizzy and her new tires worked great!! In my neck of the woods abandoned cars means stuck. Keep up the great work!!!
This spring/ summer I hope to practice my off-roading on those same trails, but on a Moto. I am particularly interested in going from St Mary's to Peak to Peak/ Rollinsville. When the snow is mostly gone, I will reach out to see if you are up for some light hearted off-roading! Keep doing the cool stuff!
tires perform different on different vehicles, peoples driving styles, weight of that vehicle and the list goes on but my experience with the ko2 and ko3 is they are super well made and comfortable on and off road. You picked a one for your taco!
I'm torn between these and the Falken a/t4w's. I settle on the Falken's then I see videos like this haha. Thank you for keeping me indecisive 😅 Good review!
You want the tires to be soft for winter and offroading in general. Softer rubber sticks to objects better and flex better. Snow rated tires are always softer.
I’ve always ran BFG KO2’s on my trucks and never had an issue with them. I did put a set of Goodyear Duratrac all terrains on my 1st gen Tacoma, and while they were great off-road an in snow, they didn’t throw mud very well and they were a bit noisy, they’re another great choice in my opinion.
If you ever want another Tacoma to go off-roading with I’d be happy to join! I go out all over Colorado with a few friends and do big group runs as well.
I have ko2 all terrain on my Tacoma and xj I get around 60k off them before replacing them… now that I’m not driving so many miles I think next go round I’ll switch over to the mud train version of them.
So I heard there was two versions of the ko3 tires one is an OE tire and the other was beefed up to handle more of the torque from newer SUV’s and trucks .
HEY ALEX.😉 QUESTION: WHAT TIRES DID YOU HAVE BEFORE THE KO3S? IM ASKING BECAUSE IM INTERESTED IN THE KO3S , RIGHT NOW MY 4RUNNER HAS ALL-TERRAIN TIRES BUT I WANTED SOMETHING MORE AGGRESSIVE BUT ALSO QUITE ON ASPHALT. ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THEM ON ASPHALT AS U ARE ON DIRT OR SNOW?
Just watched TFL do a 3 tire comparison and these came out on top. Just wondering did you do the TFL off road course a while back when your truck was pretty new, and then join the team?
Yoo what’s what’s up 😂. How do you feel about their noise level on road/interstate? Are they loud or annoying or quiet? Also, some people say the tires sort of collect and hold on to little rocks and gravel and end up throwing them up onto the side of the truck? Do you hear it slinging rocks off and hitting the truck much? Let me know! I’ll need to upgrade my new Tacoma tries one day 😊
Hey!! I do not find them loud... I actually find them a bit quieter than my last tires. I feel they cushion my ride a bit more. A big YES to the rocks being kicked up on the truck.... I have noticed it a lot. Especially now since it's winter and they treat the roads I am getting a lot kick up from little stones. I would say thats my biggest con right now. The tires are amazing in the snow tho !
Seriously, if you're going to be testing tires in the snow, please state at least the air pressure in the tires to which you aired down, otherwise the test isn't very meaningful. Stating the tire size might be helpful, too. Knowing the conditions of the test is very valuable. Thanks!

I can’t believe the flat spots has been an issue for some people that’s concerning 😅 I love the tires!! I
Hi Alex, glad to see you back! I live in Colorado as well and love watching you on our trails! Have fun!!!
Thank you Kyle!! Thanks for the support :)

When it comes to packed snow or icy snow the K02's and K03's are most all-terrain excel. Nice scenery.
its that time of year again! another awesome video!
Thank you !!!!

The Falkens are also AMAZING tires!!

Big tires on the taco...snowmageddon!

It seems very good
I think you should test it off-road not on-road :)

Yup that is exactly what happened!
When you say that these tires gave you an inch of lift, is it because you went with 265/75?
Yes!
What size did you go with
Hello, Alex, your videos are awesome! We have a product that you may be interested in, would you like to make a video for it?
Does your Tacoma not have the factory GoPro mount on the windshield?
It does not have a factory GoPro mount

What tire pressure are you running on? On road normal and off road.
37/38 PSI- I didn’t air down in this video
Can u take on some really deep snow next time?
If I can find some people to go with me - I will definitely try !
@@AlexSAdventures Can you Rev that beast up for us next time? ;)

Sorry - I didn’t air down tires are sitting at 37 PSI
The guy likely has a flat spot on his head
