    Ever since I can remember Naomi Campbell is always finding herself in questionable situations usually having to do with finances (blood diamond etc.) and claiming ignorance and innocence. At this point I am skeptical of her excuses.

      She said something about having a “legal lawyer” 🤔 who supposedly managed all of it, like, how’s that different from a regular lawyer?! Rich people often start charities for tax reasons, so wouldn’t be surprised if they benefit from it far more than the cause. Beautiful people are equally as capable to be villains, plus more likely to get away with it. She gives off strong school bully vibes to me.

    The woman who died was my friend, Alice Webb. It's crazy to see her talked about in a UA-cam video. Her death has rattled our neighbourhood. Her brother in-law and sister are our neighbours. My mum went to her practice for botox. She gave me several of her cleaning jobs and really helped me out when I lost my job. Her beautiful daughter is a great singer and we'd bond and 'goo' over videos of her daughter together, dreaming of what she'd achieve in the future. Now she's dead. Mum and I feel an immense sense of guilt and so does everyone else who knew her that she'd always say she's having something done and we'd try our best to tell her she doesn't need anything done but when you have body insecurities it is such a deep rooted and poisonous state of mind to be in, that it morphes your decisions. She has left behind 5 beautiful children, the eldest has posted videos singing for her mums memory and it's hauntingly beautiful. It still hasn't sunk in yet. Please God no one get a BBL or anything like it. The beauty standard is already beginning to shift back to the skinny model 90's, 2000's standards anyways. Standards are fleeting, your life shouldn't be ❤

    Being a Trustee of a charity is a formal role with legal responsibilities, it's not just being the face of a charity (that would be an ambassador etc). Trustees have to approve and sign off accounts, approve expenditure and decisions within the company. To say 'I wasn't involved in the day to day running' is very dishonest.

  • @RatDadSenior
    @RatDadSenior 22 дні тому +350

    If you start a charity, brand, company, etc, the buck stops with you. Period. Anything your org does is your responsibility. So for her to try and wash her hands of the situation by saying she wasn't involved in her own charity is just not good enough. Also, how is she gonna say that she cares so much about giving back if she can't even be bothered to know what's happening in her own charity??

      Absolutely, wanted to write the same! I only donate to charities where I know the activists myself or which they can recommend. Word of mouth is so important. For those who don't have friends involved in charities, I think asking around and forum research would be the best. There's never 100% that everything is as good as it seems but going by the "big names" is the worst decision in my opinion.

    • @dime.overmatter
      @dime.overmatter 22 дні тому +26

      I really dislike this opinion, administration is so vital for charities to actually run. It's misleading to say that you're not really donating "to the charity" just because it's larger. That says Naomi Campbell is a well known criminal

    • @Boooo_39
      @Boooo_39 21 день тому +18

      @@dime.overmatter Yes, this!
      I'm not trying to say that some big charities misuse and even steal funds, many do! But that doesn't mean a charity is bad just because a considerable amount of money is being used in house.
      If an incredibly large amount of the money is going to the cause, I'd be incredibly concerned. They're either lying, or paying their employees poverty wages. People who work for charities deserve to be compensated fairly, and money needs to be used in order to get money necessary for the cause.
      I used to work in non-profits(different, but with similar problems) and we were taken advantage of because we believed in the cause and wanted to do our part and help. So many of us took jobs with low salaries and did work off the clock. It was probably illegal, but it felt wrong to not do it. The culture makes you feel as if you have to take it or you're a bad person
      The funny thing is, they did deliver. But its workers? Compensated unfairly. My former coworkers and I would joke that it was probably illegal. But none of us would do or say anything about it

    The fact that it costs me £20,000 for a simple surgery on my spine, yet I can get a breast augmentation for £4000 (and could do this liquid bbl for 1.5k.) Is absolutely insane. The are both surgery. Surgery is surgery. Non-surgical procedures and surgery are both TRAUMA to the body. It’s not the same as a facial. The fact that so many celebs have had plastic surgery, has opened it up to the public, who think it’s another treatment (or tweakmemt). No way in hell would I trust a non-medically trained person essentially operate on me. It’s so sad that all these women are having to die to find this out. If you wouldn’t trust the practitioner to amputate your leg, why would you trust them to operate on you at all? It’s the same thing. It is important to remember, though, that administrative costs of some sort are inevitable. It’s just like donors don’t want us to use funds for salaries. Not sure why so many people think that nonprofit employees deserve nothing, or why there’s so much snottiness in the comments when you all donate to people who do nothing charitable, all over social media. Most non profits are very much legit, the much bigger problem than malfeasance is just lack of business and money knowledge. But there is far more theft from regular businesses than from nonprofits, and while some are a huge problem, most are 100% legit. I worked at The Body Shop in Canada from around 1989 to 2001. I loved it. It was a great working experience for me. I remember learning about Mark Constantine and how he was one of the earliest formulators. Curious to see what products Lush is tapping into. Some of the older products were actually my favourites.

People who are trained to take care of you if the worse was to happen, the courses to teach people how to inject is a few hours to days long too I think if your injecting you need to learn about the pathology and other medical aspects too they need to be regularly trained with top ups done in colleges or training centres that are creditable too

It looked like I had half of a softball in my cheek, and the left side of my lips, legit looked like his. And when that happened, my lips were in SO MUCH PAIN, they started ripping and bleeding, it was horrible. I dont mean to be rude, but his lips look painful. I dont understand how he's not in pain???

    Minimum educational standards, regulation and registration should be mandatory for anyone offering aesthetics procedures. Yes, it will increase the price, but at the end of the day, what is your life worth? An injection might not sound like a big deal, but a bit of filler in the wrong place (ie a blood vessel) is very serious.

    Yes, generally there are charities, and then there are for-profit charities. All of them do have to disclose how much of the donated money goes toward the intended cause. But some charities have over 90% of their funds go towards advertising and 'other expenses'. When I was in the military, there were yearly donation drives where we were given essentially a newspaper full of charities, and each one listed would show the percentage of the money donated that would actually be intended for the cause you are trying to donate to.

    I’m mostly over my Lush craze, mostly because of the bath products. It just seems like all the interesting scents they come up with are all in bath bombs and bubble bars.
    I don’t take many baths anymore. I still use a few of their shower gels (Grass, Happy Hippy, and Rose Jam) and I do like their body sprays.
    Now if they bring back the one shower gel… I can’t remember the name but it had a lemon grass scent… I will buy it by the gallon. Same with a holiday one called Gloog

    I believe Naomi didn’t handle the money and that she’d been a philanthropist for 30 years, but I don’t believe she didn’t know what was going on and maybe even chose to ignore it. But in reality, how much money from “Big Charity,” actually reach the causes they represent? An argument can be made for sure, but just as there are good charities, there are also corrupt, bad ones.

  • @udowannun7780
    @udowannun7780 17 днів тому

    Investigate charities you are giving to. Wealthy ppl start these charities & make themselves trustees so they can pay themselves a trustee fee. This helps them simultaneously write off their own contributions and get paid some of their own money back tax-free, as trustee compensation is not taxable, at least in the U.S. Campbell may not have been paid for “being the face of,” but trustees are always paid for their trustee duties.

I always loved their formulas but I've never gotten anything because I don't like a minimalist look for myself, if I'm going to buy makeup it will usually be very bright and bold as that's what makes me want to use it even more. I'm hoping for some cool glitters that are comfortable to wear, that would be sick.
