Do you know how much mental pain you have to be in to resort to cooking oil? The common thread in all these stories is mental health. Always take care of your mental health first before anything else
Mental health treatment is not that advanced and demands years of consistent effort to rewire the brain for most with actual mental disorders or persistent issues. I have BDD on top of severe OCD, on and off disordered eating, agoraphobia, trauma, come from a poor family I have no contact with because of the trauma, and would end my life pretty quickly if I didn't benefit from my good looks by making money doing sex work. I finally had to try meds and therapy is a joke, it's all just life changes you are told to make that are not simple. If you've never felt extreme anxiety forcing you to do compulsions for hours a day every day then you don't understand how deeply ingrained these behaviors are for some of us. Surgery is a way of coping. It needs to be limited and psych evaluation needs to be enforced but fairly. It won't cure body dysmorphia but it's a lie that it won't help the person at all. I am much more able to live and not think about my looks when I'm thin and have lip filler-it makes me feel pretty and less stuck ruminating and anxious. A huge upgrade from wearing baggy clothes 24/7 and rarely leaving the house. It's a complex issue that demands complex treatment, which we don't have yet.
@@stellabrown909 as the previous reply said body dysmorphia can be deadly, tw: mentions of self harm: I won't lie back in my worst days of body dysmorphia and anorexia I've thought of cutting the fat off my arms myself so it doesn't surprise me at all that this woman was desperate enough to go through with injecting cooking oil when her filler shots ran out
PSA: if your face “drops” or becomes paralyzed at any point in time, GO TO THE ER!!! no matter what you’re doing, no matter what medical procedures you’ve gotten recently, get emergency help asap. You could be having a stroke or another medical emergency. please, even if your trying to brush aside side effects of injections, partial face paralysis is no joke and is reason enough to call an ambulance.
I kept waiting and waiting for him to say "so she went to the emergency room". At least she eventually got a second opinion, but the fact that her "surgeon" had such a hold on her that her nostril falling off wasn't an immediate "seek emergency help" flag to her... Awful person, I hope he lost his license.
I know. My immediate and worst fear would be that my breathing could become obstructed. If that suddenly happens, you want to be in a hospital, ready to be saved.
my dad had partial face paralysis !! Really is so scary !!! Always get emergency help!!! He thankfully got better but it was very scary at the time for him
Welcome to South Korea... Mental health is very stigmatized and hardly cared about here and there aren't really any privacy laws regarding healthcare in general. I know for certain that if I seek help for mental health (like my ADHD) that there is a high chance my employer will find out and I'll lose my job.
Well I wanna say I don’t believe in psychology or psychiatry for the most part first….because it doesn’t work usually and they just throw people on nasty pills most of the time. But I get Botox now and my husband hates it…and I said to him the other day “you know…Botox is a lot cheaper than therapy …and possibly even a boob job etc also might come out cheaper than therapy “. And it just kinda blew my mind thinking about it.
Absolutely, surgeons should be required to say no at certain points and maybe recommend dissolving filler before injecting more, for example. The people who get these procedures done can't see how bad it can get but surgeons definitely can and shouldn't be blinded by money:c
@@smajliiicka not always. Some surgeries are for good reasons. I had a reduction. If I went in with my previous large breasts and asked for bigger, that’s lack of self love and esteem. If someone has an uneven nose and wants to fix that, it’s not lack of self love. It’s self improvement. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be the best version of yourself. It’s when you achieve it and surgeons keep letting you tweak what’s just perfect as it is that people lose sight of reality. At that point, yes, they don’t love themselves and need therapy, not more work.
@@GenXfrom75 i guess I agree to disagree... I do understand surgeries after accidents etc... Not for lacking confidence of the body I was given... If I had to tweak everything or anything to feel better, without actual reason (to me 'I don't like it this way' is not good enough) I'd be a walking plastic figurine... Perfection doesn't exist ❤️
Mental health issues are deeply stigmatized in both Korea and Japan. Mental illness is seen as a failure of will rather than an illness that the person has no control over. It's really tragic.
Even as a mid-20s American it took me years to sort of realize that my depression and anxiety are not a character flaw. It turns out I wasn't on the right medication and my doctor, for some reason, felt like I didn't need a change. Luckily I switched doctors and meds and I feel so much better, but it's still so difficult and weird that mental illnesses seem like moral failures instead of a condition, even to me when I should have known better.
My husband is Korean and I've finally, just YESTERDAY, got him to admit he might have some anxiety issues and anger management issues. For a decade it has been 'I have no problems. You have mental problems. You think I have mental problems but I don't!' He is almost 50 years old! His mother disowned him, that isn't going to cause abandonment issues?! Also, lookup hwabyeong, anger disease. Supposedly it is a Korean only condition that causes people to suddenly get violent. Like road rage that turns into killing someone with a golf club. Yeah, that's called bottling up stress and having a mental break 🤦🏼♀️
@@UnicornsPoopRainbowsthank you for sharing this. my boyfriend was korean-american. his mother was very volatile and he had issues himself - mostly just stubbornness. he died of cancer at the age of 29 in 1999. i have often wondered about that trait. i will be looking for literature on this. i wish you and your husband happiness.
Not blaming the last woman at all, but I would have gone to the ER st the very latest when my nostril fell off, not back to that doctor, and wish someone had encouraged her to do the same. I also hope she sues the fuck out of that first doctor.
Actually: if after a procedure in your face you EVER feel the SLIGHTEST numbing or tingling sensation in your face, immediately go see a doctor. If your face starts to sag, go to the ER. IMMEDIATELY. There is a possibility that a nerve in your face was damaged. It's absolutely not something you should sleep on. No "I'll call them in the morning". With every hour passing, your chances of saving your face decline.
@@stone_forest3802 I keep considering filler in my lips so I personally appreciate you saying this. Like for me it feels like common sense BUT it's also really easy to convince yourself you're overreacting so this is a reminder all of us can use!
@@averyelliott5645 glad to hear that! Better safe than sorry when it's about health. Idk where you live, but maybe your country offers some medical advice hotline you could call free of charge if you're unsure. Stay safe!
I know a lot of people think Americans are too litigious but Christa's case is exactly what medical malpractice lawsuits are for. If she had sued his pants off (and plenty of lawyers will do it for a cut of the settlement and won't charge if they lose the case), she could get her reconstructive surgery and he could maybe learn a lesson. My heart breaks for all these women and how scared and hurting they must have been.
So I remember this girl who ended up with a flesh-eating virus after getting b12 shots and the reason she couldn't sue them was because they didn't have enough money to even cover her legal fees if she won. It might be a situation like that. But if they are licensed doctors then they have to have insurance that would make suing worth it to a law office.
@@469ka37 OMG Where was she getting B12 shots? If you actually need B12, your doctor can prescribe it and you can give yourself the shots. It's really easy and safe. Damn. But yeah, doctors pay a lot for malpractice insurance. That's one reason they get away with so much.
@@469ka37 They should have insurance, but Oregon doesn't legally require it. And clearly that blowfly of a human didn't have a back-up plan for when things went wrong.
At the very least, there needs to be some serious reports made to get both the doctor and his wife's licenses re-evaluated due to this malpractice. Both of them looked at clear necrosis and went "nah, this is fine"
ive written this on another comment or two but she has stated that she did sue, and lost. im not too sure of the details as she hasnt really spoken that much about it, only that its over and she cannot re-sue
Yes, women like that develop this complex because people, esp younger ppl, wont stop age shaming and men wont stop chasing girls instead of women their own age.
Exactly I agree with you 100%. I’m 59 years old. I use really good skin products. I will never do any injections or lasers or whatever plastic surgeries I can’t I won’t. I’ve had two surgeries in my life because I needed them. They were lifesaving. Plastic surgeries and fillers and not going to save my life.
@Buuvgjvhbuibhtccr3dd3tc This is a silly comment. People don't go into it thinking they are going to get botched. A lot of people end up really happy. I'm saying that I'm not willing to take the risk. Too much can go wrong, and you can never go back once it's done.
@Dasha-vs2jl I get that. They feel disfigured. It's in their mind, its a real issue. But once something like this happens, it's not in your head anymore, and it's not just you who sees it. That's going to be hard to deal with, especially if you already struggle with mental health. Not everyone, of course. I'm sure for some, surgery is the best thing they ever did, and I'm happy for those people. I'm just pointing out that trying to "fix" things could end up making things worse, as we've seen countless times.
People don’t look “old” at 28, believe me. In 30 years you’ll look at pictures of yourself and be stunned at how youthful you looked! I was still getting carded at 28. At almost 60 I won’t try to pretend I’m 30. It’s pointless. So many traits besides wrinkles give away one’s age: hands, voice, neck, my car stereo playing Talking Heads & the Clash … lol Falling is what could ruin my life, not looking old, so I put my effort into building strength & balance. It’s scary how strength slips away despite living as I always have. I have to work harder now but it’s worth it. Push your parents to start working out especially after 50!
Absolutely! I’m the same age, my face is the least of my worries, I would like for things to not hurt! Not that I would mind a snap of a finger to get rid of my jowls and turkey neck, but would never stick a needle or a knife in my face. It’s just not that important for the quality of my life, and I am not a gambler by any means.
As a Nurse, I am shocked at how little training and qualification is needed to do some of these procedures 🙄 even with some of these 'doctors' lacking basic knowledge and skills to treat complications, lack of ethical standards and covering up instead of directing people to help...literally disguisting 🤢
I am a nurse too and I am horrified about how the providers here completely neglected these patients, didn't provide informed consent and also give horrible medical advice. That last patient should have been told to be seen in the emergency room IMMEDIATELY
In Australia you have to be minimum Registered Nurse with a degree in injectables sooo. It is regulated, but doesn't mean people won't break the rules. Also, doctors are the only ones that can order it, again, easy to break the rules.
Same (except I'm 47 😂). Never had anything "done". I have given birth to 5 babies and have a C-section scar. I have scars from having my fallopian tube removed and a long "boob to pube" scar from my hysterectomy operation when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the age of 39. They are all part of my life and a wonderful reminder of my children and the fact that I'm still alive.
same except the kids what happened to "learn to love yourself for who you are instead of how you look, and to be grateful, for many people can't say the same"? our parents' methods may be callous, if not straight out cruel, by nowadays standards, but this was one of the many valuable lessons they used to drill in our heads, and I'm very grateful for it
@@nimeryaspawnbrd1049 I used to dye my hair blonde (natural brunette here) and asked my mom to get me blue contacts. She told me “I’m losing the baby I gave birth to” and it stuck with me. I would tell my daughters the same 🩷
@@nimeryaspawnbrd1049yeah totally! but not all of us had good parents... or any parents at all 🥺 But I have a little unusual story to share if you are thinking of surgery, not the "normal" side effects but a very bad doctor. I cant write my childhood story here cuz I think my comment will be deleted Haha, but i was sooo beyond hurt, and my self esteem was taken from me, and I still feel sooo badly about my body some days, even tho I have been therapy for many years now! Never thought I'd I'd this but THANK GOD i grew up poor so I wasn't able to do so much Haha. I have "only" done my boobs, I had non existent boobs before and I was made to feel like I looked like a boy, unattractive and so unfeminine, which is SO damn wrong cuz I was just a small thin girl, nothing wrong with that, many girls have small boobs (or no boobs like me😂) that FIT THEIR BODY TYPE! And being a women isn't just looks, OFC! 😅 And when I woke up i realized that the surgeon did almost TWICE the size I told her I wanted, and she told me it was bc I would have regrets, like WTF!? 😭 and it wasn't just a lil bit, they were HUGE!! I feel so bad complaining cuz I was the one to make the choice to have them done, but not at all that size, I have photos of the size I myself picked (you get to "test them out" before Haha). It looks sooo unnatural, I have gained a lil bit of weight since but i dont feel like it helped much at all, and I can't afford to have them downsized or removed. I'm sorry for whining haha, just want to warn other girls to think before you do it, PLEASE try therapy first (but we have free healthcare and far from all got that privilege ofc😭) if possible! YOU ARE FINE THE WAY YOU ARE GIRLS!! and if someone in your life tells you otherwise then trow them away if possible!
I had a vascular occlusion the very first (and last) time I had lip and marionette area filler. I was never told what to watch for. I thought as it progressed that it was just bruising until I realized hours later it was not. My doctor’s office was closed so I went to the ER. They had no idea what it was even though I told them I thought it was a vascular occlusion and an emergency situation. They told me it was just an allergic reaction. I finally was able to go back to my doctor in the morning and received countless injections of dissolver over the next several days. It was so painful but thankfully once it finally healed I have no lasting issues. I really feel for the women in your video!
Wow that's so bad you didn't get advice on what to look for. Every time I go to get mine, the practitioner tells me every time, emails me the sheet she has about what to look for etc and checks in the next day to check all is ok. I'm so sorry that happened to you and hope you had bo lasting effects
I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience in the emergency room and they didn't take you seriously. The worst part is I'm sure they didn't hesitate to send you an expensive medical bill for ignoring you. I'm glad to hear you're doing physically, okay.
I cannot believe that plastic surgeon did not act IMMEDIATELY to dissolve that filler after that poor patient showed textbook signs of a vascular occlusion. Absolute cowboys. It’s one of the most serious risks of dermal filler. Very scary days when a plastic surgeon does not know how to deal with this complication.
@@lindarockower6028 lol it’s a very common expression used in the UK … it’s means someone who is unqualified or untrustworthy. No offence was intended towards real cowboys 😂

That last story sounds like something straight out of a horror movie. That doctor is completely soulless. I really hope there were consequences for what he did to her. I hope she sued him or, at the very least, that his license was revoked.
Seriously how is she not rolling around in all his doctor money right now? What he did was CLEARLY negligent malpractice. Lawyers must be salivating over such an easy case. Hopefully she is building a case or something and just has to keep it on the down low.

Thank you for sharing my story! I am terrible at UA-cam and TikTok but it is where people are finding me, so I know I need to do more. It breaks my heart that this is still happening to people all over the world that were also never warned of the VO risk. The UK is clearly ahead of the game. How do I get this to be common knowledge in the US? I’m just one small-time entertainer who can’t figure out how to edit a TikTok video! This should be on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy or something mainstream so everyone knows about it- not just a private conversation between patients and doctors. Anyway, thank you again for doing what you do. I will try to get better at it and save other people from experiencing this life-altering trauma.
Hi Krysta. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I can't imagine what you have been through and the fact that you want to stop this happening to others is inspiring. I hope you have found peace and realise that we all think you're beautiful inside and out x
Regarding Han Hyekyung, I didn't know that she had passed away, and after watching this video, I looked it up. I can't seem to find any Korean news articles on how she passed away - the articles just say that she passed on December 15th, 2018, and the cause of death was not released to the press (the family didn't release it). I did find a blog article that showed that a media outlet(I think?) from Japan even flew over to Korea to cover this when they heard of Han's passing, and they talked to some doctors. Apparently one Korean doctor said that foreign fluids from the face flowed into the lungs, causing the function of the lungs to decrease to 10% that resulted in her passing, but another doctor said that it's difficult to imagine that a foreign substance injected into the face or head would flow into the lungs. Another doctor (I'm not sure if this was a Korean or Japanese doctor) said there's a possibility that she passed from pulmonary embolism. Whatever the reason may be, I'm so sad to hear of her passing.
I agree with your thoughts on Krysta's story. It very much sounded like that "doctor" and wife were trying to avoid a lawsuit. The lack of proper care (including referral) should be considered malpractice. I am sad she's been treated so poorly.
Unrelated to the cosmetic part but thank you for not censoring the word "suicide"! It's such an important subject to discuss, yet so many don't want to say it and be demonetised. Also I noticed you said the first person may have "died from suicide" instead of "committed" and I am really glad to see that language changing too. This was a very sensitive and informative video, thank you again!
And thank you for saying that you appreciated the word being uncensored! It hurts my heart so much when they make up different words to avoid it. And now people are saying the other words in real life. So much more to say, but would be trauma dumping. So thank you again ❤️
@amentrison2794 it's language that references it being considered illegal and has negative associations. People do not choose to suffer with suicidal thoughts like you choose to commit a crime. Saying they "committed suicide" or "killed themselves" is recognised as more blameful language. In truth it's the mental health condition that took their life them rather than the person themselves. Hope this helps!
@christinadysard9261 people saying it irl also worries me. It's a medical term for a dangerous thing that should be talked about. I'm not opposed to alternative or slang terms around it (especially if they make it easier to talk about), but the origin and lighthearted nature of "unalived" doesn't convey how serious and tragic it is
I try to remind myself of that quote or saying “ageing is a privilege”. We can’t stop the clock so why spend the money and time trying to when we’re only going to end up looking like we belong in uncanny valley? Even celebrities with access to the best surgeons often end up looking like something from another dimension.
@holdmyhand2009 There's nothing she could have signed that would absolve him of giving faulty medical advice. And even a "were not responsible for" aren't iron clad enough to not be able to sue.
unfortunately she did sue and lost, she hasnt really spoken that much about the case other than naming the doctor once or twice in the comments, but she has mentioned that (in her words) they both lied in court and had really strong insurance for this
Check out how long breast implants had been around before the medical community recognized and accepted that these can have health consequences in the long run. Fillers are too a billionaire industry, cosmetic surgeons and cosmetologists are NOT gonna do the research needed on their own. Also, how will you associate a current health issue to something you injected years ago? It can be happening but without being seriously studied, we will not know for sure.
@@pinkva23 I am sorry it got you :( but I am happy you got them out and you were able to tell it was the implants that caused your issues. I am very insecure about my breasts but being an autoimmune patient I am more aware about possible triggers and that is what has stopped me from getting the surgery. I hope you continue to heal 🤍
I stopped going to a dermatologist because he kept pushing Botox and fillers on me when I was only looking for treatment for melasma and neurodermatitis. He was deliberately mining for my insecurities, even offering Botox to my armpits and palms of my hands, even though I don't have hyperhidrosis. Plus, he prescribed hidroquinone for my melasma and made it worse. You should make sure you can trust your doctor.
I've seen both types of doctors, some of them always telling me how great I look and how I just need a treatment for my sensitive skin, and other trying to find a million problems every time and upselling expensive lasers and procedures I'm not comfortable with.
My left breast suffered necrosis, and my n!pple and areola fell off and left a larger than golf ball hole in the breast. I had to pack the huge hole with gauze and Dakin’s solution for months until it filled in over time. I found a new surgeon for reconstruction, fortunately!
You having to care for such a horrific wound in that way, not to mention the fact it was on your breast, must have added another layer to the trauma you experienced 😥❤️ if you're open to sharing, how are things since the reconstruction?
@@MommaBear87 she did something they do for breast cancer reconstruction, the flower technique. Since I only had skin there, she folded it over and put a few stitches in to recreate the appearance of a nipple. When it healed up, she matched ink to be the same pinkish shade as the surviving right nipple & areola and tattooed it the same size. She did an amazing job! The ink had faded a little but it’s been 14 years. My original surgeon failed me. He told me to quit smoking, which I did two months prior to surgery. What he didn’t tell me was to quit nicotine and I used nicotine gum to get off cigarettes. The nicotine killed the blood supply on that side. He never mentioned nicotine. I didn’t know. That’s the cause in my case.
I think a lot of people echo the sentiment that it's crazy that mental healthcare is more expensive than getting these procedures and that these women would've benefited from it but I genuinely think that the beauty industry has normalised women feeling bad about their looks to the point where many women think it's normal to feel bad about your looks and that the people who don't are some type of unicorns and therefore don't seek treatment. I really wish we'll eventually be able to push back on this predatory industry to the point where less people are victimised by it. Thank you for covering these stories in such a humane way.
James, you are so articulate with your words. I can hear you speak all day. I met you at Superdrug presents last year and came to say hi. Both you and Robert were so kind, humble and might I add, stunning!!!!
So many people don’t understand that there is a difference between a cosmetic surgeon and a plastic surgeon. Any GP can call himself a cosmetic surgeon, but to be a plastic surgeon requires at least another 7 years specialist training. I’ve had procedures done in the past, never by a cosmetic surgeon, only a plastic surgeon is taking a scalpel to my face!
If you are getting any work done that has any amount of risk, you do your research. Look for doctors with degrees or certifications (depending on the procedure) from real schools, that have at least three years of experience (that allows enough time for them to correct any issues with newer procedures) in that procedure and do internet searches to see if anyone is talking about them. Word of mouth doesn't mean much when the average person is an idiot. This is everything I've learned from people in the industry. I'm comfortable enough with myself that I don't see the point of cosmetic or plastic surgeries beyond making someone look better after injuries.
If I were to have anyone alter my face, I'd hand them pen and paper and ask them to draw me. If I get a stick man back or something I could do myself that ain't my surgeon. I don't care how many qualifications they have. You want a sculptor. Some who understands form and structure. Light and shadow. An artist.
The lady who was a recluse for four years after a cosmetic procedure destroyed her face is so brave. The fact that she survived the ordeal and has used the experience in such a positive way is inspiring. I don’t think I would still be here if that happened to me. These stories are horrific and everyone should see this video. It serves as a warning to accept yourself as you are and leave your face alone.
Happy Sunday! As someone new to Botox this is terrifying! I get about 36 injections for migraines. That’s why I love your channel you talk about the good the bad and the ugly.

@@jennaeveliina313 my migraines were the result of a traumatic brain injury. So not sure if the results would be the same or not as yours. One thing I did notice though is a headache the day after the injection and about a week before I need them that are pretty intense. I am going for my third next month so hopefully it gets better. Best of luck to you I feel your pain it’s awful. You can also work with your doctor to get some meds that help in between too, just be really careful with side effects. I know these horror stories do not represent the majority of cases with cosmetic procedures, but the risk of having a bad experience makes me not want to ever get botox or anything 🥴 the idea of my face getting completely disfigured is just too much 😭
It is scary but stories like these are statistically rare. I’ve been getting conservative treatments for 8 years and have never had a problem. You just have to be careful. Avoid discount places, check reviews and qualifications. Same with any medical procedure, really. Btw-The first two stories involved silicone, which isn’t really used anymore. Hyaluronic acid is used now and is dissolvable if there is an issue. Silicone was more dangerous bc it has to be removed with surgery.
I think what should be highlighted here isn't that something went wrong. It's that something went wrong and no one knew what to do. If there were better systems in place for _when_ something goes wrong like the woman who's nose fell off, then damage could have been minimized, but unfortunately nothing was done for so long that's he had necrotic flesh on her face.
@@foreverwander0320 Bad egative outcomes are not that rare for certain procedures(BBl and nose jobs for example), but the point is: those beauty procedures are not needed, in the sense that they're not like a surgical procedure in an hospital that you need to survive. They are just little superficial enhancements, you can easily live without. So how many people would risk it while knowing about the negative outcomes, when they're so unnecessary? Some of these procedures, like botox, are secure(been used for 30+ years) and temporary enough that with a good professional you have an extremely low percentage of possible negative outcome. But other very popular ones, like new fillers, are not even old enough to be truly analyzed, tested and known to determine a reliable stat of bad outcomes. Doctors literally casually discovered a couple of years ago that fillers take years to go away and what they thought was them being "dissolved" is just the fillers migrating around. Hypothesis about the correlation between hyalu fillers and water intake causing heavy\pillow faces is just being made this year. Not to talk about hyalu fillers being able to block lymphatic systems when injected in the face(also just hypothesized this year) and them being able to block blood vessels and provoke necrosis, which is also a recent notion. I'll be ok with being a test subject for experimental procedures exclusively if it's life saving stuff, ppl should be made aware that they're being used as lab rats with crap that is untested and unreliable.
Omg! I would have gone to the ER right away when things got numb & slurred speech!!! I’d be afraid it had caused a stroke. I’d sue the shit out of that doctor!!!
That’s what I’m saying. I really don’t understand not going somewhere else before your nose falls off. I feel like I would have at least gone after the doctor gave an ointment for an injection complication. How is an ointment going to do anything on the inside of your body? I understand she trusted him but nothing he said worked and it wasn’t until after her nose fell off that she didn’t trust him?
I wish she’d gone straight to the emergency room. Unfortunately her doctor’s reassurance/delays (and ‘ointment’?!) made her wait so long and allowed the necrosis to progress.
@@queenofdreams9323 Honestly yeah, I don't want to sound victim blame-y but even if I had mostly trusted my doctor, at the point where it started getting worse and worse to the point my nose falls off, I would've sought a second opinion. I also think it's wild that she didn't recognise necrosis??? Have I just watched too many medical dramas and videos like this and I'm in the minority of people who know about it or was she just less informed than others?
The last girl should let ppl know the doctors name so noone else goes to him .. thank you James, this video is definitely an eye opener ~ have a beautiful rest of ur weekend !! ❤❤❤ love from California ❤❤❤
I really like the structure of this video. I have seen other videos/content about the consequences of filler, and they typically treat the victims rudely, blaming them for being vain. They also only focus on celebrities, or treat everyone who gets fillers as a monolith. By highlighting specific cases, you give the victims the dignity they deserve.

Doing makeup actually made me see how beautiful each dip, nook, crevace, shape, wrinkle, valley on each face is unique and simply beautiful.
It sounds strange that she wouldn't see another doctor but she was technically under medical supervision and, as later mentioned, she couldn't afford corrective surgery. So, a combination of being lied to and likely fear of having to spend more money kept her going to the same bad doctor.
If he had any decency, he would have at least referred her to a vascular doctor to take a look at it. He might have requested a consultation from a colleague.
People trust some doctors way too much and should really get second opinions WAY more often (Speaking as someone who had diagnosed Severe Acid Reflux to the point of bleeding ulcers for 12 years). DOCTORS ARE STILL FALLIBLE!
You NEED to continue videos like this! This is amazing information that needs to be presented to the public. It will help so many people from being self conscious about their features and thinking filler and Botox is the answer.
10:15 She looks AMAZING after going through all that. I hope she continues to get better if there’s still damage underneath and-if she hasn’t yet, learns find herself beautiful again.
I’ve gotten botox and fillers (lip filler) since I was about 20yrs old, but stopped getting filler after 3 rounds of it over the course of 2.5yrs. after 5 years without lip filler, my lips STILL look like they have filler. granted, my lip filler gave me so much more confidence, just a forewarning that fillers do stay much longer than you’d think so less is more
My mom wanted filler, i warned her against it several times. She told me that she was only going to do a very little amount, as if that somehow excluded her from possible issues.. she got a vascular occlusion almost immediately. Not a half hour later she called me crying that her nose and upper lip was getting purple. Lickely the practitioner had plenty of dissolver so it got better without necrosis, but she still has ptsd from the experience. Had nightmares for weeks and severe stress and depression. Im glad she s somewhat better now
Everytime I hear stories like the last one, I'm shocked that not once do these people go to their GP or ER once they start experiencing symptoms beyond what is expected for these procedures. Even waiting a whole 24 hours before seeking help.
That’s what gaslighting does to you. He led her to believe that he had it under control so she didn’t need to see anyone else. And then his dermatologist-wife joined in on the gaslighting right about the time that Krysta was likely thinking about going to the ER, when her nostril separated from her face. So now she’s got 2 doctors that are reassuring her and telling her that it will be even better after it’s all healed (and won’t Krysta be lucky because she’ll get free laser treatment on top of everything! - said the wife, probably).
These stories are horrifying James & thankyou so much for bringing this to our attention. Iv just started my lip filler & Botox journey within the last 6 weeks & im very happy… I’m 41 but have been blessed with great genes so I’m so glad I waited. However I’m extremely happy with it so far & im also very VERY careful not only with what I choose to have but also where I go & who I choose & I know what to look out for. This upload has helped me think even more about my choices & im very grateful for the amount of research you must have done for this video James… thankyou… Tia ❤❤❤
I'm glad I'm not insane - I've been saying for sooo long that these fillers don't 'dissolve' or 'get metabolised by your body.' Just look at people who get filler regularly and you'll see the filler migration to all different parts of the face (the 'filler mustache' if they get a lot of lip filler is the most common one i see around) but people are led to believe that they're just temporary
I started getting Botox at 34. I was starting to developed the deep frown line my mother had. People were always asking me what was wrong. (Rbf I guess! Lol) I tried facial yoga, massage, frownies etc for years before trying botox, but finally took the plunge. I can say it has increased my quality of life for sure, I get fewer headaches and look more rested overall. But I did a LOT of research and only go to a board certified derm at a practice connected to my local hospital. I’ve gotten some conservative lip filler from her too, but she made sure to go over the risks with me ahead of time and I thought about it before doing it. Who you go to is so important!
Informed consent is the most important thing to protect people from bad outcomes! Meaning the professional needs to provide it, and we need to know to demand it from practitioners too.
i’m with you 100%! i’m planning on getting surgery to remove a cyst on my wrist in a couple months because it’s gotten so bad at times that it interfered with my schoolwork. the doctor said it would only be about 20 minutes BUT i have to be under general anesthesia for it. i’ve been lucky to have never needed any surgeries because i’ve heard way too many stories about people waking up during it and not being able to move while feeling everything and it’s one of my biggest fears lol. couldn’t ever imagine getting elective plastic surgery!
As someone who gets a little impulsive with the hair scissors occasionally, that's as far as I'm willing to go. I don't think I'll ever do anything invasive like this.
As an advanced, medically trained, insured aesthetic practitioner and trainer, I am in absolute disbelief at what these women have been through, in particular the last lady. I have commeneted on James' video of him getting filler in his nose previously and this is the EXACT reason. Even if somebody is a surgeon or doctor, they do aesthetic treatments to make MONEY. If they actually cared about your health and wellbeing ( as i do for all of my clients ), they would not TOUCH anywhere near your nose with any form of filler. In the UK Hylauronic acid based filler is the only legal filler that should be used, as filler that is collegen or sillicone based, commonly used in the US CANNOT be dissolved and in the case of complications, can only be removed with surgery, causing permanent damage and disfigurment. Even if HA fillers are deemed safe and reversible as most injectors in the UK will have you to believe, this isnt true as James makes clear in the video. Hylauronidaise/Hyalaise (dissolver) can cause tissue death and damage, blindness and much worse, the same as incorrectly placed filler. This can happen no matter where it is placed in the face or body. I was honestly shocked when i saw James having his nose filler procedure done - 1- it looked like it was being done in the back of a van? 2- his 'doctor' did not aspirate!(where you pull back the plunger on the syringe when you are going to inject to look for a blood flash back to see if you are in a vessel or artery) and it honestly made me feel sick... this man may be a 'doctor' but he should NOT be carrying out aesthetic treatments let alone on our lovely James ❤ if you arw unhappy with your nose, save your money and GET A NOSE JOB, it is 100000x safer and lasts. Just because it's a "Harley street" Doctor, it means naff all. I have had to dissolve and correct countless treatments done by harley street clinicians and I am Midlands based. What does this tell you? It really does anger me that these doctors are jumping on the aesthetic bandwagon to make MONEY. They are charging anywhere between £300-£500 to carry out a 30 second treatment with filler that costs NO more than £40 a syringe to buy. Jeuvederm is purely a lip filler (a horrible one at that as its rock hard and can take hours to dissolve) but that does cost £100 per box but that contains 2ml. I see practitioners/doctors selling treatments per ML like 0.5ml for x amount, what are they doing with the other 0.5ml? All needles and syringes are SINGLE use and CANNOT be kept in a fridge for your "top up or next treatment" as this crystalises the filler. I see people being told to put ICE on filler after a teeatment! People then wondering why their lips havnt settled and are hard and lumpy? Its because youve froze your filler and its now crystallised in your lip, and will take hours of work to be dissolved. I see people having filler dissolved without having a patch test, Hylauronidaise is the same allergent and agent that is in BEE STINGS and it is one of the highest strength allergens known to man, are you really going to inject 1000units of this into a face without checking with a small amount in the arm to check for an allergy?? Its SCARY and these among other reasons are why decent, ethically correct and fully trained eastheiticians are getting a bad name. At least once a day i am asked if i fill Breasts, Bottoms, Temples, noses and foreheads... all of which are a HUGE no no. Breast filler can cause tissue death and your nipples can fall off and also how are you then going to do your monthly breast check for lumps? You cant because there is OVER 200ml of filler in each breast. Buttox filler (known as a liquid BBL) Is probably the most dangerous of them all, no asperating, filler is being injected far deeper than filler is intentended to when not being injectted onto bone and due to this, if you have hit an artery (normally your majory artery that feeds blood all the way around your body) by the time it is noticed, tissue death and nerve damage has already onset. To dissolve filler in this area, firstly you have no idea where the occlusion is as the filler is so deep and there is so much of it in there you dont know where its coming from and cant do a pinpoint hyalise administration secondly its already too late to even help. You can DIE from this treatment, its no safer than a botched BBL in Turkey. Temple filler should be self explanatory if youve ever felt your temples, there is a strong pulse and you can feel sometimes see your artery. This artery leads to your BRAIN. Block this, and you will have a stroke. Worse case death. In fhe video where the poor ladys nose fell off from necrosis, the black patch of skin going up the side of her face is her main facial artery and for allll that time he has left it blocked theres more and more chance she could have gone blind. And im actually so shocked she didnt. Anyway i just spent an hour of my saturday morning typing this out just to spread some awareness because it really scares me how this industry is going. Everybody is beautiful and just keep in mind if your practitiner is filling these dangerous places, they are doing it for money and not because they care. I turn down at least 15 clients daily due to caring about wellbeing over money, thats a good £500 loss i make daily just because i CARE. I hope you all read and educate yourself and if anybody would like any further advise drop me a message or comment on this. ❤❤❤❤

Im sorry but what offended you so much 🤣 calm down love im just trging to spread awareness of how dangerous injecting filler anywhere on the face or body can be. Also i dont have MD by my UA-cam username because im not sad nor trying to boast. How do you know what qualifications and experience i hold? Go back to school and learn correct use of explanation points and grammar and then come back to me and talk to me about aesthetics 😊@cassiephillips9011
I know it sounds extreme but I genuinely think that last doctor and his wife were literally stringing her along for as long as they could hoping she would die so it would just 'go away.' It's amazing she didn't get an infection or go into shock of any kind, they should be in prison 🫣
I just don’t understand why we can’t appreciate and celebrate maturity and the additional rizz people can have as they embrace maturing, rather than constantly fighting and demonizing it. Like if people spent more time adapting to their bodies and minds maturing, rather than trying to fight a losing battle against time, I think many people would be a lot better off.
THANK YOU! thank you SO MUCH for bringing this to attention and i sincerely hope every influencer ever out there does this, because you go there wanting to be "more beautiful" you gotta know there's HUUUUUGE risks. you gotta know you may not get what you wanted, but walk out absolutely horribly wounded with no turning back. it's your face, the one face that you care so much about that you go get procedures done for. think about it. don't do anything that has a less risky alternative. and if you really want it, find someone who knows and shares the risks. someone experienced AND honest. someone who would tell you to stop if needed. someone who would admit to mistakes or complications. there are as many egoistical money hungry maniacs as there are great doctors. choose wisely. ask about risks, don't believe anyone who says it's "completely safe" my friends, even drinking water isn't completely safe, how can an invasive procedure be so? come on. choose smart, people.
OMG this is awful, I can’t imagine how much strength it took these ladies to get through each day. It’s something I can’t actually have done due to extremely deep scarring but now I’m grateful that I can’t.
OMG James I'm the one who sent you the filler video on tik tok and I knew you would deliver! I knew you would make an amazing and educational video!!!! I'm sooo happy🖤 Hugs from Croatia as always🇭🇷🖤
Just KNOWING what complications can occur, what the symptoms look or feel like, how to respond to that is invaluable! If this happens it's a symptom of that - you'll know to go to the ER or come back tomorrow. Just an information pamphlet so that someone you live with could say "hey, I think you have this going on, let's get you looked after" so you're not just sitting at home thinking "it's probably fine, it's just bruising". God imagine having necrotic tissue and the doctor telling you it's fine.
It’s so sad how much we (as a society) hate aging…it’s so normal. I feel like it’s especially frowned upon for women to age, and it’s almost as if older women are valued less. I feel like caveman brain has taken over societal norms.
I am a nurse, and I would never ever EVER seek cosmetic procedures from anyone less than a board certified cosmetic surgeon with actual patient reviews and results. And I would never ever EVER take the cheapest one on offer. If they're cheap, there's a reason for that!
I'm 50 yrs old, and it has never crossed my mind to do things to my face. I don't have much by way of wrinkles yet, but even so, at this stage in my life, I feel like I've earned them. I'm not afraid of needles, I'm afraid of not looking like myself. If I feel like looking different, I change my makeup. If people choose to get fillers, hopefully, they do their research, ask the right questions, and check the doctor's credentials before getting them done. Always avoid bargain cosmetic injections and procedures, because they become too costly in the long run should they go wrong.
I'm in my 40s, and it makes me sad that so many young women are going apeshit with fillers and whatnot. I 100% understand having insecurities, because no one is immune. What I *don't* understand is getting so much done to your face that you lose all your character and individuality...and for what? If you're in your 20s already, it sure as hell isn't going to make you look any younger! Quite the opposite, in fact. Not only that, but you're going to age significantly worse than if you had just left your face alone. Also, they really, REALLY need more regulation surrounding the cosmetic industry. Too many practitioners are perfectly fine with destroying someone's looks and/or health just to make money. It's disgusting and shameful.
remember: unless you get actually disfigured by an accident or illness, stay away from plastic surgery. It’s a bottomless pit and comes with so many risks.
Living isn't a gift. Especially if your a cis woman. From the moment you are born it's pure suffering, and then you get old and the world throws you away.
All of this is horrifying - with regards to the last woman, Krista, a quick google search says that though not very common, you can hit a blood vessel during Botox which causes more bruising and swelling than normal and that an ointment would have been fine. But definitely after two days if I noticed that intense bruising and swelling I’d go straight to the ER or get a second opinion and not the surgeon who hit a blood vessel. My heart goes out to her 😖 I’m so shocked she hasn’t been able to sue either :/
I’m so sad and SHOCKED Krista didn’t go get a second opinion immediately after being told her blood vessel had been injected. And of course, sue the doctor for negligence!
That last story is a _nightmare._ It's easy to say "if I were in her shoes, I'd have gone to a hospital!" but in the midst of all that on top of her career demands, I can easily imagine myself getting caught up by fear and making the same choices.
I swear I’m allergic to everything including stitches so I am too scared to try anything internal. God forbid I ever need a hip replacement or something artificial in my body…. These stories are heartbreaking.
I'm 51 and, although my face has started to age, I wouldn't get anything done. Every single line and droop tells my story of surviving a lifetime of both good and bad experiences. Sure, I had to learn to do makeup for my skins texture, but I really like the new me. I've also let my hair go completely natural, and am about 80% white. I look my age and I'm not only fine with that, I embrace it. I am PRIVILEGED to have lasted as long as I have on this earth, and I show face proudly!
It always surprises me that these people don't go to the ER right away instead of going back to someone who injects things (not being specialized in treatments).
I remember watching a long documentary about the first woman a few years ago and the story is so sad. Plastic surgery can truly be a disaster when the vulnerable and wrong people get their hands on it.
If your face is literally falling off, at what point do you go to the ER? I don't understand why she didn't go early on. It sounds like her symptoms were really severe.
Heavy subject, but important to addresses. Thanks, James! Thumbs up for UA-cam, because of the subject, they put up contact info for people struggling and pinned a banner in my local language under your video!
I’ve seen too many videos warning against cosmetic procedures, it makes me never want to get them. It’s a blessing to age, not everybody gets to do it. Might as well embrace it.
I absolutely love the fact you are raising the problems people experience with Hyalase!! I had to join a FB support group after my first dissolver, because my injector made me feel insane. I had droopy skin, and the intensity of the burning feeling. Mine has since subsided.. but I know for alot of people it doesn't get better ❤
That last story is wild, if the doctor knew he had hit a blood vessel he should have sent her to a specialist... not this bs. How sad and scary is this...
I am 28, i could not imagine using botox and filler this young. They were gorgeous people, they must of been suffering so greatly (mentally and emotionally).
Honestly, this last women who’s nose fell off, her biggest mistake was not getting a second opinion immediately. This is NOT to victim blame. The fault of course lies with the surgeon who kept stringing her on and gaslighting her and the fact that this man is still working is awful. It’s just that sometimes it’s worth getting a second opinion just to be reassured and because this first doctor has an incentive not to be honest
I’ve personally dealt with these Dr.’s who think they were too skilled to make a mistake. Just because you find a board certified Dr. Who has awards & in magazines as #1 Dr. Of the year … they can still ruin your life & appearance. I paid extremely large amounts of $ to go to the “best of the best” and still got scaring, drooping & permanent nerve damage. I was never warned of any possible side effects and was pressured to do procedures that were totally unnecessary! I didn’t even look old when I did these and they should have asked me why I wanted ANYTHING done to begin with but nope! That ain’t EVER going to happen. All they saw was $ - I’ll always regret what I did.

Do you know how much mental pain you have to be in to resort to cooking oil? The common thread in all these stories is mental health. Always take care of your mental health first before anything else
It makes me think of the people who inject oil into their muscles to appear muscular. This is why mental health is so important.
Body dysmorphia can be deadly. 😢
Like why??? Wow
He thankfully got better but it was very scary at the time for him
Excellent advice.

The fact paychiatric help, something mandatory for many to be healthy, was more expensive than filler says a lot about humanity
100% agreed.
Many don't even want to acknowledge that there is something wrong in the first place.
Was thinking the exact same thing
The problem really starts when surgeons refuse to say no…. It is sad. 😢
Absolutely, surgeons should be required to say no at certain points and maybe recommend dissolving filler before injecting more, for example. The people who get these procedures done can't see how bad it can get but surgeons definitely can and shouldn't be blinded by money:c
@@georginacontreras4975 exactly
No, it starts with lack of self love
Quite a few cultures view mental illness as a "white person's problem" and not something that can happen to anyone.
Also Japan: Guys we should put up signs and nets so people don't unalive themselves. That'll do it!
Just an FYI, if your doctor looks scared, go to the hospital. I feel so badly for those who get lied to by professionals looking out for themselves
Not blaming the last woman at all, but I would have gone to the ER st the very latest when my nostril fell off, not back to that doctor, and wish someone had encouraged her to do the same. I also hope she sues the fuck out of that first doctor.
Yeah I’m not blaming her but if my nose fell off I’d go straight to the hospital. Not to mention NEVER going back to the person who made that happen.
There needs to be a balance between “not taboo” and “everyone after a short course can inject chemicals into another person” 😢
Yes, it seems like we as humans always like to operate in extremes. But there is a healthy balance between taboo and disordered.
Perhaps we should accept ageing rather than demonising it
I couldn't agree more
We should embrace it. Many don’t get a chance to age. It’s a privilege
💯
Well said!
Yes, women like that develop this complex because people, esp younger ppl, wont stop age shaming and men wont stop chasing girls instead of women their own age.

But didn't you notice Robert's scar?
You mean to tell me....they're not?!?😰
Omg I was just thinking this!!! Crazy
Id rather accept aging/being flawed over trying to live with the fact that a choice I made left me disfigured.
Obviously she didnt think she'd be disfigured though..... what a silly comment.
@Buuvgjvhbuibhtccr3dd3tc This is a silly comment. People don't go into it thinking they are going to get botched. A lot of people end up really happy. I'm saying that I'm not willing to take the risk. Too much can go wrong, and you can never go back once it's done.
They already feel disfigured is the thing. I do on my worst days with BDD.
So many traits besides wrinkles give away one’s age: hands, voice, neck, my car stereo playing Talking Heads & the Clash … lol
Falling is what could ruin my life, not looking old, so I put my effort into building strength & balance. It’s scary how strength slips away despite living as I always have. I have to work harder now but it’s worth it. Push your parents to start working out especially after 50!
💯👍
Common in UK, Australia, nz - you don't need medical training to perform these procedures, like wtf?!?
In Australia you have to be minimum Registered Nurse with a degree in injectables sooo. It is regulated, but doesn't mean people won't break the rules. Also, doctors are the only ones that can order it, again, easy to break the rules.
Yes in the uk you dont need any medical studies.. i live in Romania and here you have to finish 6 years of med school and after the residency
Thank you for your service. Nurses are a patient's lifeline.
I’ve never had anything done. I’m 46. I’m so grateful for this body. It’s given birth and it survived cancer. I’m grateful for every line and scar!
Love this attitude!!
They are all part of my life and a wonderful reminder of my children and the fact that I'm still alive.
same except the kids
what happened to "learn to love yourself for who you are instead of how you look, and to be grateful, for many people can't say the same"?
our parents' methods may be callous, if not straight out cruel, by nowadays standards, but this was one of the many valuable lessons they used to drill in our heads, and I'm very grateful for it
@@nimeryaspawnbrd1049 I used to dye my hair blonde (natural brunette here) and asked my mom to get me blue contacts. She told me “I’m losing the baby I gave birth to” and it stuck with me. I would tell my daughters the same 🩷

But I have a little unusual story to share if you are thinking of surgery, not the "normal" side effects but a very bad doctor.
And when I woke up i realized that the surgeon did almost TWICE the size I told her I wanted, and she told me it was bc I would have regrets, like WTF!?
Sorry to hear that! Thank God it worked out in the end!!
Wow that's so bad you didn't get advice on what to look for. Every time I go to get mine, the practitioner tells me every time, emails me the sheet she has about what to look for etc and checks in the next day to check all is ok. I'm so sorry that happened to you and hope you had bo lasting effects
I’m so glad you are okay! Are your facial features and is your face itself okay and back to the original state? 🩷
I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience in the emergency room and they didn't take you seriously. The worst part is I'm sure they didn't hesitate to send you an expensive medical bill for ignoring you. I'm glad to hear you're doing physically, okay.
@@Mpxyzm2by yes everything is okay. I had some discoloration for a couple of months but that eventually faded.
There is a difference between cosmetic surgeon and plastic surgeon. I would bet money he was not a plastic surgeon.
That's an insult to cowboys frankly...
I agree with Amy. I'm not liking "cowboys" used like a put down. Real Cowboys exist. They're extremely hardworking, smart, practical people.

That last story sounds like something straight out of a horror movie. That doctor is completely soulless. I really hope there were consequences for what he did to her. I hope she sued him or, at the very least, that his license was revoked.
The sad thing is state medical boards are staffed by doctors and they protect their own. John Oliver did a really great piece on it.
Seriously how is she not rolling around in all his doctor money right now? What he did was CLEARLY negligent malpractice. Lawyers must be salivating over such an easy case. Hopefully she is building a case or something and just has to keep it on the down low.
OMG that doctor should have paid HEAVILY and has his license revoked. the level of negligence is appalling

I was scrolling to find info in the comments. Thanks for updating. It's very sad indeed
That poor woman.
Thank you for the update. I was trying to find info but couldn't find anything because I didn't know her birth name
❤❤
What's wrong with saying committed?/gen
That's a great quote! I will try to remember that
I’m shocked Krista wasn’t able to sue the hell out of that doctor! Omg
always read the disclaimer before you sign it
@holdmyhand2009 There's nothing she could have signed that would absolve him of giving faulty medical advice. And even a "were not responsible for" aren't iron clad enough to not be able to sue.
Probably couldn't afford to sue or had signed a consent form without reading it properly.
unfortunately she did sue and lost, she hasnt really spoken that much about the case other than naming the doctor once or twice in the comments, but she has mentioned that (in her words) they both lied in court and had really strong insurance for this
Check out how long breast implants had been around before the medical community recognized and accepted that these can have health consequences in the long run. Fillers are too a billionaire industry, cosmetic surgeons and cosmetologists are NOT gonna do the research needed on their own. Also, how will you associate a current health issue to something you injected years ago? It can be happening but without being seriously studied, we will not know for sure.
I had breast implants. They almost killed me. I’m now 36, and even though they are out, I still deal with health issues.
@@pinkva23 I am sorry it got you :( but I am happy you got them out and you were able to tell it was the implants that caused your issues. James actually did a video on this a while back
My mom died of a stroke shortly after getting breast implants. She was relatively young and healthy. I was always suspicious.
What an absolute scumbag, good on you for standing up for yourself and not caving in! It makes me super worried for his other patients. :[
And as horrifying as my experience was, and as depressed as it made me, at least I could cover mine 😢

The unfortunate issue with body dysmorphia is that in many cases, the sufferer ends up looking worse than what they had initially thought 😥
An artist.
Thr fact that silicone injections were more affordable than mental health help for Han is so upsetting.

Silicone was more dangerous bc it has to be removed with surgery.
i share the feeling
I think what should be highlighted here isn't that something went wrong. It's that something went wrong and no one knew what to do. If there were better systems in place for _when_ something goes wrong like the woman who's nose fell off, then damage could have been minimized, but unfortunately nothing was done for so long that's he had necrotic flesh on her face.
Botox wears off and filler is dissolvable
@@foreverwander0320 Bad
egative outcomes are not that rare for certain procedures(BBl and nose jobs for example), but the point is: those beauty procedures are not needed, in the sense that they're not like a surgical procedure in an hospital that you need to survive.
You sign a waiver so make sure to read any fine print

I really like the structure of this video. I have seen other videos/content about the consequences of filler, and they typically treat the victims rudely, blaming them for being vain. They also only focus on celebrities, or treat everyone who gets fillers as a monolith. By highlighting specific cases, you give the victims the dignity they deserve.
if your face is not obstructing your breathing, eating, speaking, smelling, seeing, expressing etc - please do NOT mess around with your face. Your cells came together in a unique and specific way to make your face the beautiful thing that it is. Your face has your personality in it. The way you use your face muscles over time - it makes up your face - your personality. Doing makeup actually made me see how beautiful each dip, nook, crevace, shape, wrinkle, valley on each face is unique and simply beautiful.
I'm shocked that the last pstient waited so long to get a second opinion, I would've been at the ER immediately.

No because she looks amazing, like she just had a regular Botox. Those surgeons did amazing
I’ve gotten botox and fillers (lip filler) since I was about 20yrs old, but stopped getting filler after 3 rounds of it over the course of 2.5yrs. after 5 years without lip filler, my lips STILL look like they have filler. granted, my lip filler gave me so much more confidence, just a forewarning that fillers do stay much longer than you’d think so less is more
Yes, I’ve found that they don’t really fade as much as they migrate. I just have them dissolved and replaced after.
I already didn't plan on getting any fillers, and this increases my not wanting to.

Lol)
I tried facial yoga, massage, frownies etc for years before trying botox, but finally took the plunge.
The audacity of the doctor for the last story! Such incredibly bold claims that were absolutely false! What a nightmare 😭
Tbh, I'd really like to see a video talking about how you can actually fond a legitimate professional.
Informed consent is the most important thing to protect people from bad outcomes! Meaning the professional needs to provide it, and we need to know to demand it from practitioners too.
Those poor women! There’s no way on earth I’d ever consider any kind of invasive treatment. I get anxious just getting my jeans altered.
i’m with you 100%! i’m planning on getting surgery to remove a cyst on my wrist in a couple months because it’s gotten so bad at times that it interfered with my schoolwork. the doctor said it would only be about 20 minutes BUT i have to be under general anesthesia for it. i’ve been lucky to have never needed any surgeries because i’ve heard way too many stories about people waking up during it and not being able to move while feeling everything and it’s one of my biggest fears lol. couldn’t ever imagine getting elective plastic surgery!
Buttox filler (known as a liquid BBL)
Is probably the most dangerous of them all, no asperating, filler is being injected far deeper than filler is intentended to when not being injectted onto bone and due to this, if you have hit an artery (normally your majory artery that feeds blood all the way around your body) by the time it is noticed, tissue death and nerve damage has already onset.

@@daisysheward6593 I don’t see an M.D besides your name nor are you a nurse and you hold no medical license or you would have added that to your spiel !!So you speaking on doctors ,who go to school some for the better part of 15 years depending on specialty is asinine !I see all kinds of people who claim to be aesthetic practicer ,but of course hold no medical license! And truly until the explosion of fillers and Botox you would have never heard of such unless you were in fact a doctor!!Its hilarious hearing a lay person give surgeons crap about injecting filler when you yourself are not anything of the sort !!!and I would never let some person with out a medical degree any where near my face injecting something !!Anyone can go on line and order filler and call themselves an “advanced aesthetic practitioner” but without a degree means nothing ,it’s a fad!!Filler is dangerous period ,it hasn’t even been around long enough for us to actually know the damage it’s causing yet long term!!you can get necrosis of the lips just like you can in the nose if you have an occlusion of an artery !!And you said doctors do esthetic treatments for Money …ahhhh isn’t that the same reason your doing it ??That argument is daft ,it’s just tacky to go online and attack doctors who had the grades to go to medical school and did the work and put in the years and time be given medical advise from a person who has none of those things is comical!!!
I just noticed that you are not Robert, it was a nice surprise finding out there's two of you
I wish doctors would be like “hey I’m sorry I effed up, let me take care of this as soon as possible”
Instead of being like “hey just wait.”
I know it sounds extreme but I genuinely think that last doctor and his wife were literally stringing her along for as long as they could hoping she would die so it would just 'go away.'
It's amazing she didn't get an infection or go into shock of any kind, they should be in prison 🫣
Meanwhile, over in Catfished, half of the comments are about the victims appearance
What do you mean by "rizz"?
THANK YOU! thank you SO MUCH for bringing this to attention and i sincerely hope every influencer ever out there does this, because you go there wanting to be "more beautiful" you gotta know there's HUUUUUGE risks. you gotta know you may not get what you wanted, but walk out absolutely horribly wounded with no turning back. it's your face, the one face that you care so much about that you go get procedures done for. think about it. don't do anything that has a less risky alternative. and if you really want it, find someone who knows and shares the risks. someone experienced AND honest. someone who would tell you to stop if needed. someone who would admit to mistakes or complications. there are as many egoistical money hungry maniacs as there are great doctors. choose wisely. ask about risks, don't believe anyone who says it's "completely safe" my friends, even drinking water isn't completely safe, how can an invasive procedure be so? come on. choose smart, people.
I'm sooo happy🖤
Hugs from Croatia as always🇭🇷🖤
These poor, poor women!
It's sad that she, the woman from the first story, could afford plastic surgery but not mental health treatment 😢
Growing old is a gift. It means you're alive. I totally get procedures and definitely don't judge. It should be more supervised though.
So sad & scary 😢 Please people just age gracefully & forget all the injectables already
This is so awful. Please please can we just go back to loving our natural faces again.
This is why I don't mess with plastic surgery or fillers. You don't know what can go wrong at anytime. I refuse to get nothing done.
Jesus that’s horrific levels of necrosis I’m amazed she couldn’t sue that quack and his wife.😬
How sad and scary is this...
you’re telling me the last lady didn’t sue?!?!!
I am 28, i could not imagine using botox and filler this young. They were gorgeous people, they must of been suffering so greatly (mentally and emotionally).
This is a very well structured video. Its flows really well. From story to story. 🙂
Oh i remember some of these stories 🥺 they are so sad 😔 but ill always listen as its james 🥰♥️
Thank you so much for saying "died by suicide" instead of "committed". Words and stigma matter. Thank you
I’ve personally dealt with these Dr.’s who think they were too skilled to make a mistake.
