    I noticed that you jacked your car up from the engine. That’s the proper way to do it!
    Also, I see that you use Honda genuine parts! That’s generally the most ideal way to do it!

      aed990 Not a problem. I finally broke down and bought the intake. It made no difference in power since I had already cut out the air box of the stock system. The only plus is that it gives a nice growl when you are heavy on the pedal. Honestly, the novelty of it wore off after a few weeks. Hi, thanks alot for this video, it helps a lot, i have a question but sorry that my question does not relate to the video, when i start the engine and turn the A/C on, i see sometimes the headlight flickering especially when the compressor engaged, do you think the problem is with the ground? Or with the alternator? Cuz in the morning i checked tge battery voltage is 12.68 and when i run the engine, i see the voltage goes to 8.9 v, and immediately start, so, do you think the problem is with ground or battery itself or the alternator or because the A/C compressor is so strong that's why it needs to draw much amperage? Since, when i turn the A/C in i can see the voltage goes down from 14.5 to 13 when the headlights is on

    • @Sunshone7311
      @Sunshone7311  6 років тому

      It sounds like you may have the beginning of a problem. The alternator may not sound be regulating voltage correctly. This can also occur when the battery does not have a clean connection or the battery is beginning to fail and can't hold enough of a charge. The A/C put a big drain on the electrical system, so you will generally notice problems when it runs.

    • @Sunshone7311
      @Sunshone7311  5 років тому

    Thanks for the info. I have a 2016 Manual Accord that just blew up driving home from work last night. Temp went up to between 2/3 and 3/4 before pulling it over on a busy highway. Coolant all over the engine bay. Of course it happened at 36, 232 miles ... just over the 36,000 mile warranty so the Honda can screw me over. Love driving the car, manual is very nice, good power for a 2.4l ... but I can never trust is now for long drives, this is the 2nd brake down for this car ... very disappointed with Honda.

    Sounds like your engine has the famous VCT gear issue when you start your car. Nothing you can do about it. Even though you replace the gear, sound will come back after it wears down

    Great video. I'm in the process of changing out the alternator on my Daughters Honda Accord Sport 2015. I am having a hell of a time getting the top long bolt back in on the new alternator ( cost $439.00 ). The alignment doesn't seem to be true. I have loosened the bottom bolt, tried without the bolt and tightened the bottom bolt to no avail. any ideas? thanks!

      Daniel Stavely Honestly, you have to just keep adjusting the Alternator a little bit until you can get the bolt through. Unfortunately it doesn’t just line up, you kind have wiggle it around to get it in. Make sure you only screw in a little on one bolt before going on to the other.
