    I have multiple sclerosis and over the last 10 years since high school have allowed my body to deteriorate. I've lost a lot of core body strength and have struggled with even being able to lift my legs to the right degrees in this video, but with courage and consistency ( doing this workout and simple Pilates stretches about twice per week ), I see improvements in my body. I'm walking better, sleeping better, and feel loads better! thank you! DON'T BECOME DISCOURAGED IF YOU'RE A NEW COMER! start out slow, check with your doctor, and be consistent.     At first I thought I couldn't never do this but then I thought I've just endured 9 months of pregnancy and I managed to push out a baby so I can push my body to do whatever I want. I've started Pilates and I feel amazing,My body is becoming what it used to be but only better and I've found something of my own (that doesn't involve the kids) that i enjoy. I'll be doing this session every morning and afternoon and

      Wow that's great Angela. I started this channel when my wife had our second child to do exactly what you are doing. There are now about 200 videos for Pilates, Yoga, fitball, cycle classes and Physio tips from Trevor who works at Cirque du Soleil.     i am a ballet dancer and they have just required for us to take pilates. I wasn't sure what pilates exactly was but this looks very challenging and i hope it improves my dancing skills!

    Great workout! Thanks. I'm 50, but you look to be over 21 yourself, so I can't use that "too old for this" excuse. I also appreciate that you're quiet and down to earth, no yelling or obnoxious disco music.

    This lesson is better than do an hiit abs sessions.....I have abs without doing only abs and improving the posture so as other body muscles. Great!

    I just did this workout! I'm a total beginner and i loved this workout. It didn't really feel like a workout, and that's what i loved about it! The middle was the most intense part defiantly, but i liked the easier options for those more challenging positions. Great way to start your day!

    Thank so much for this workout! I have a metatarsal injury so can't get out to classes or reformer lessons. I find teaser a challenge and so appreciated this single leg version of it that helped me keep my form and still get some of the benefits.

    I'm a 21 year old male. I've had two knee surgeries and I've been fed wrong information from my doctor saying I should focus on gaining weight rather then loosing so I have more muscle supporting the joints. Although that maybe true...with lifting heavier weights I noticed I've been straining my joints in my knees and being 5ft9 and 175 pounds I find that getting bigger isnt that great...specially since I'm between a small and medium body frame I find out I should weigh in around either 145-151 or 151-163. Today was my first time actually switching up my workouts from lifting weights to just working on core performance and doing other strength exercises and I think ill be sticking to this kind of workouts :) Thanks much!

    I really loved this routine,it was challenging enough for me and she told us the modifications if it was too hard. This is a video I would do again. I am in my late 30's,not really trying to lose weight but my main thing is gaining strength because I dont want to become a weak old lady like majority of women do as they age.I dont care about the aesthetic reasons at all.

    This was a really great workout, thank you! I do yoga normally but wanted to try something that helps me tone my muscles, rather than just stretching. It was definitely a challenge but I'm going to keep working at this until I can do it all fine :)

    It's actually quite popular for physical therapists to specialize in pilates to help with back pain (in addition to other injuries). You should consult with a certified physical therapist before pursuing any type of training.

    nice video! great abdominal cuing for keeping the "ribs in". I like the kabob skewer through the hips comment to keep them stacked in side lying! love the teaser variation. thanks! and nice physique! Inspiring to loose my wee bit of belly coverage from the winter and weeks of sitting and studying.

    i want to work out my whole body. i have done these exercises before 5 or 6 times and it really worked out. but what i really need now is to lose wheight, especially from my thighs. i have started eating healthier and less and i want to start doing pilates 5 days a week. should i do this kind of exercises everyday or would you recommend combining some of your other exercises in my programm?

    I was wondering, do you warm up and cool down before pilates? If not, does it leave you achey the next day?
    I've started doing some pilates moves to tone my body and increase flexibility, but what happens if you do a little cardio after to cool down? Does it ruin the work on the muscles that the pilates has targeted? I know Tracey Anderson is against 'typical' cardio for this reason, she says it creates bulk and undoes all the tightening of the accessory muscles.
    Help!

    I'm over weight and haven't done serious exercise since forever and I'm in my late 20s and really want to get into shape cause my job is becoming more physically demanding. Plus, I know my metabolism will start slowing down now that I'm almost 30. Is Pilates good for a beginner, like myself? And is it a substitute for cardio?

    by doing this routine, along with mixing in some other beginner routines, and doing a 20 minute mid-intensity cardio session, would i be able to become more toned and lean-muscled?
    P.S loved this routine, challenging but felt amazing afterwards
