waits is by no means a slouch but mose allison footage by nature of it's rareness is what i needed to see here.

Like 1975 was a good year for entertainment. Miss this type of innocent broadcasting...well innocent in that it was allowed and was such a different soulful highbrow approach

Hung out with Tom the year before at The DC Cellar Door. Wonderful guy. And you really felt like you were in on the ground floor of something artistically exciting

As a teen I'd bought tickets to see Mose play Boston at the Paul's Mall/Jazz Workshop duel nightclub complex on boylston street, unexpectedly saw T.W. opening, memorable night... Attended some other amazing sets by legendary acts at that venue, Mingus, Roland Kirk, Beefheart, Gato Barbieri, Stankey Clark (on upright), Ron Carter, etc...

Paul's Mall/Jazz Workshop. No place like it when I was a youngster. I could not believe I could see my heroes play for about $4.50. Sitting 5 feet away from Elvin Jones changed my life.

I played quite a few gigs with Mose during the 80s and "Parchman Farm" was the one tune we never played. People would request it, but he'd just tell them he doesn't play it anymore.

Unfortunate but appropriate that there's no audio on all of I Don't Worry About a Thing. Nothing was alright with this portion of the audio on this night in 1975!

Thanks so much for posting this. I've loved the Waits album this set is from since the late 80's but never saw a live performance from the era when it came out. This is great.
And seeing Mose is a flashback to the early 90's when he did Sunday brunch sets at Fat Tuesday's in NYC for a while. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon that was.
