I thought he did well .He let you demonstrate on him. MY cats hate being picked up I think they think I'm going to clip there nails again because they are house cats. I have never cut to short down to the quick. They don't like nails being done.🐱🐹

I haven’t tried the ginger tea, but the 1/4 of a 10mg tablet of regular Pepcid AC and the slippery elm syrup I made are helping. I didn’t use the capsules, but brought 1 tsp of the slippery elm powder to a boil with a cup of water and then simmered for a few minutes. Thank you for all your helpful content! You are helping so many!
thanks Dr Jones. i've had one of my cats chronically vomiting and I worked out it was from stress. Plus I needed to feed her more frequently. But she went off her food for a couple of days and I thought it might be nausea. So I did my best to give her some ginger tea. I only got about 2mls into her. It might have been enough because next morning she was up ready to eat some breakfast. She has seemed very good for the last few days. No vomiting. :D
My cat doesn't get sick often but had diarreah and vomiting for a few days. Tried a couple of remedies and nothing. I watched this video late at night so my nearest pharmacy was open. Bought pepcid AC, started seeing results gradually since the 1st day until the 3rd day. Thank you!

We have a picky cat who was vomiting constantly…..we tried the slippery elm and it seem work for a few days. I came across a tip that finally worked, we elevated his food bowl about half n inch. We think this worked because of his larger weight may have been impeding his digestive system. We also changed his food from science diet to tractor supply brand. It’s smaller bits. We literally tried 7 different varieties of cat food, but he’s so picky and finally settled on this one. Also, tractor supply one is much cheaper and grain free 😃.

Just watched your video from four years ago on how to help an aging dog. Our German shepherd Valentine is 11 and she had perianal fistulas. She's on a protocol of supplements and natural remedies but unfortunately needed steroids for about two years. She's down to a half tablet each day and didn't start showing side effects until about Feb this year. A couple of months ago she developed a hygroma so we took her to the vet and he was happy with everything, commented on how well her bum has healed 100% but she's got muscle loss on her back legs. We started her on cod liver oil, that's what the vet suggested, and I'm taking her for short walks most days. On the days we don't go out I do short 5-10 mins bouts of training to keep her active. She gets a joint supplement but I am going to make sure that she's getting enough of the three most important ingredients. She also gets pro biotics, evening primrose oil, vitamin e, zinc and she gets a little salmon oil on her food. Unfortunately it caused her to gain weight so I cut it down to a couple of pumps. She is raw fed as well. Is there anything else that I can do to help build those muscles back up? She's bright and lively and only shows her age at night time, unless food is about! I'm wary of giving her supplements incase they bring back the PF. Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks
I introduced my cat to new food he loved it but it irritated his tummy. So I gave him Pepcid 5mg and it worked instantly. ❤️

If a cat is vomiting wouldn’t be also diet related? After using some supplements to address this problem it could be wise to transition to a natural diet, no canned or dry food, but this is just my opinion and experience with my own cat, thank you.

I have used pepcid also before on my pets. Never no more than 3 days, or I take them to my Vet. If they aren't better by then. Good Advice from you here.

I would like to say thank you for your remedies, I’ve use them in few cases for my cats with great success. I have two cats that my kids brought during these past two years; over the Thanksgiving my daughter who’s in college brought three kitties that she’s fostering. LOVE the Ginger and Slippery Elm remedies. If you can PLEASE HELP with any ideas for a coughing cat. It kind of seems like asthma. I wonder if I can use Albuterol Inhaler for the cat. The cat was on an antibiotic and it stopped. When the medicine stopped cough returned.

I have 3 boys and one of them knocked over the temptations treats and ate them accordingly! I'm pretty sure this is the cause but I'm not sure he does sneak outside and had some tail swelling no bleeding just maybe a small break. Thank you for this great info
Yoooo this helped me so much. I was freakin out. I got 100% pumpkin in a can ginger root and Pepcid. I cut up 1/4 Pepcid into powder and mixed it with a tablespoon of pumpkin and boiled a piece of the ginger in 1cup of water and mixed that with the Pepcid and pumpkin and I ground up a couple pieces of dry cat food for taste . After all that is mixed together I put it in a medicine syringe and put it in the fridge to cool off. Then I gave her alittle at a time and it worked great for her and quick

I'm glad to see these are pretty safe remedies. I'm actually looking around for information and help on the medicine cerenia. Since I gave her a quarter Tablet 4 days ago she has not been herself at all. She's a neurologic mess and she already has lymphoma she's barely clinging to this world and I'm just really really looking for help. I just spoke with a homeopathic practitioner today and I'm starting some remedies that I was just looking for any hope that I can find because I'm devastated!. I'm so tired of giving my pets things that hurt them😢😢😮😮
Just an FYI that I heard a statistic if your cat has been vomiting more than twice per month you should have them checked out for lymphoma or ideas because 99% of them will have it if they vomit that often

@@MsKMcZ thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to me. Unfortunately the Homeopathy didn't help her and she continued to decline and I lost her. I don't know how long it was after I posted this message but probably just a couple days. I still blame that medicine, Cerenia. I have been waiting for a custom-made homeopathic to help her vomiting which was similar to an OTC one that I had run out of and was no longer being made. Until I ran out of that OTC product she was doing very well but I thought that I had to give her the medicine for the vomiting and it turned out to be a huge mistake. I miss her terribly. She was a very special cat and probably the most loving one I've had even though I loved all of them and my dogs! I think we just do the best we can and and hope and pray for the right guidance and to make the right decisions.
My cat loves Maple yogurt..and yogurt is supposed to be good for the digestive tract. But not sure I should give it to her cause of the sugar, especially since she's been vomiting. Good idea, bad idea Doc?
Slippery elm bark also helps with weight loss in cats. Problem I have is my cat isn't eating because he is stomach upset so I can t do the slippery elm he is already losing too much weight.
Dr jones do you recommend benadryl for gsd yeast ear infestation? My gsd is difficult when it comes to her paws and ears.

Not true at all. As a 40+-yr cat mom and rescuer, I have given several cats famotidine or cimitidine for upset tummies. It is very safe (at proper dosage). He's not the only vet that has prescribed this.
Pepcid is generally safe when used short term but you have other options.

Moreover, my 10 yrs old cat has lymphomia, did Quimo on him 4 months ago, he reacted well, however, his linfocitos are back/extremely high, his pancreas continues to be in bad shape, his liver is also getting damage and his intestine not performing well. My vet said to put him on COP and to give him CERENIA & ranitidine injections every Tuesday and Fridays indefinetly. Not sure, if this is what I want for my poor Feline Son. The reviews on these drugs are not the best, so, Im extremely stress out and don't know which is the best option for my Cat. I would like to hear/read your thoughts. Please

My little girl has been vomiting since yesterday. I think it might be a furball, she is half tabby half mainecoon. She doesn't have the longer fur a maincoon has on some parts of her body; mostly the tail and her tummy. This is the only time she has done this. Oh and she is refusing food as well.

@@theseahaswings I don't know if it could have helped, but She ended up puking up blood and got a really bad vet, cause it was covid time and good vet not available. She had stepped in gasoline in carport from vandalized vehicle, and she kept getting worse. I guess she had ingested some before I could get it off and didn't realize what would happen. I had to put her to sleep. Sorry, I'm not able to be of help because of my situation. I have taken in another cat who has been living outside for years. Poor guy! I'm trying a probiotic for his chronic diahrea by Fera, Organic powder. Crossing fingers. Big hugs to you!

I think all cats eat grass. My thought is -- since right after she eats grass, she throws up -- is that it's Natures hairball removal remedy! 🤣 Don't know if that's a correct assessment but..makes sense to me.

My cat throws up ever couple of weeks, is this something I should see a vet for? he is a british short hair male, stopped feeding him kibble, he threw up a bit more often when eating the kibble, and now he just has wet food, but now he threw up again and has a little diarrhea, he is ok in himself, he is alert, runs around playing with the other 2 cats i have, He is a good size and is an indoor cat, what could be the problem ?
I give my cats coconut oil on their paw if they throw up hairballs. 🐈🐾

Trying sensitive stomach dry food first at their recommendation. While an appointment is in the works. Trying what I can at home.
My 13 year old cat vomits much after eating,like maybe 6 or 7 hours.It's mostly liquidy. It can happen 3 days in a row, then not again for 5 days.He does have kind of very fine white hair.Sometimes it looks like hair in it but not all the time. He also will eat plant leaves and then vomit, because we see the leaf in the vomit!

If I use liquid Slippery Elm bark do I need to or should I mix it with water before giving to my cat. If yes how much water should I add for 0.1 ml which will be 100 mg.

My cat threw up 2 days ago some very green color along with food.then he hid for that day and didn’t look well. But has started looking better won’t eat but drinks water.not hiding as much but very sluggish. I tried acv just before and will monitor him. I think it might be digestive issues from what I read . He is a cat who would vomit every now and then not just because of hairball. I think it could be due to food allergies. Any suggestions?
My cat Clary Bell is recovering from surgery now, she had to have the UTI crystals cleaned out of her bladder.
We tried everything, but nothing worked. Surgery was the only option.
She is hurting so bad. No more pain medicine. Dr said she has had to much. She won't hardly eat or drink water. I did try a little honey and she licked up about a teaspoon and it made her feel better. Tomorrow will be the 3rd day after surgery. I got her some cat nip and it seems to help her with the pain and relaxing with no fear. Everytime I try to feed her by pushing down a little chicken, she just growls. I don't know what to do
She hasn't pooped in 3 days. She still pees a lot. It takes her a while but she does. She will be 5 years old in June. She has lost several lbs
