Here's how I take my cat's allergies out. Permatly. Buy peppered turkey brest and get them used to tiny turkey treats. Why? Black pepper contains the canabanoid CBN. CBN is actually more prevalent in black pepper than canibus or Marijuana. It's a very strong anti-inflammatory. It is also a medium strength pain reliever and antacid reducer. Black pepper also contains decent amounts of iodine, magnesium, and zink. The turkey is low sodium. However, you can always just grind your own black pepper corn and sprinkle into your cat's foods.
Being a biochemical engineer, I was bored during the pandemic and decided to concentrate on food that protected our immune systems. This works safely for all pets. Yes, even birds.
In one of your other videos you recommended stinging nettle to be applied topically. You mentioned it was a natural antihistamine. My cat has suffered from what the vet thought was upper respiratory issues for years, my cat is 19 yrs old. As he has gotten older, he is constantly with a congested stuffy nose and he would end up with an infection. I have tried everything, treatments with cold laser, chiropractor treatments, neuro allergy treatment, energy frequency treatments, as well as taking him to the vet and putting him on antibiotics. These treatments help some but it didn't eliminate the issue. My cat is a very good patient and tolerated all the treatments very well. I decided to try stinging needle to treat My Cat stuffy nose. I simply made a tea from stinging nettle. I let it cool and I syringed a small dose three times a day for 2 days. My cat showed an immediate Improvement. His nose was not stuffy and he wasn't having to breathe out of his mouth. I've reduce the stinging nettle to once a day and it has kept him free of a stuffy congested drippy nose! I control the infection from the stuffy nose with colloidal silver. Thank you thank you!
That;s great! Thank you for sharing your experience!
Energy frequency treatments is woo woo gotta come back to reality a bit
You can also use garlic instead of antibiotics, for anything that antibiotics would be prescribed for. It doesn't kill the good bacteria in the gut....just the bad bacteria and whatever ails you....or him....or her.
@@traddymom4368 NO garlic, onion, and leeks are BAD for cats!
@@allaboutmycats454That's not completely true. Sure, it's toxic in high amounts, extremely high amounts...but it is perfectly safe in smaller doses. I have used garlic for over 30 years with ALL of my animals with success....and no bad effects at all. I'm saying to put garlic infused oil on the skin on the back of your cat. They will lick it off. That's such a small dose.
I adopted my older cat from the shelter over 3 yrs ago. I discovered she has terrible skin and food allergies. She had been a stray for 6 months and came into the shelter totally bald. The shelter got rid of the fleas and had her spayed. I fed her Blue Buffalo wet and dry food. She is very picky and won't eat any human food. I bought a different brand of kitty treats when the store was out of Blue Buffalo and her mouth swelled up causing her to look like she had lips. She rubbed her mouth on her paws and I only had benadryl. So I gave her a little of that. The hair around her mouth fell out and has never grown back. I was told by the vet to use their expensive flea med. She broke out in a terrible rash. I called the shelter and they had used Advantage Ii on her and had no allergic reaction. I use that and she's fine. I am never going back to my previous vet again. Ty for your vid. I'm glad to know there are natural remedies for cats. I will try them one at a time to make sure she does okay. If I gave her several things at the same time and had a reaction, I wouldn't know which thing caused it. Everything is so expensive now I can't afford to see a doctor myself or take my cat to the vet. I always put her first. I don't really need any new clothes anyway.
Hope any of Dr Jone’s remedies in this video help your cat💕🙏🏼
I love Murray's grumpy look. He stole the show.
How funny, I thought he was most cooperative and patient. Many cats would have decided to leave minutes ago! 🐈⬛💕
My cat would of been on the other side of town actually seeing me w medicine. Her medicine detection skills are real.
I'm a naturopath and so grateful for the remedies you provide for animals!
Thanks
Murray looks like a chunkier version of my old cat William.....
I miss him. He was my favorite boy. He slept on top of my heart, head under my chin....best boyo for life.
Murray looks a good weight for a car to me- so many cats look so skinny.
Sorry your kitty has passed, it’s so sad to lose a beloved pet. 💔
I pick my own nettle in the spring I'm actually having some in my tea.
Can you do some videos using a cat that won't just lay there? ie - you live by yourself and your 12lb cat loves to run away and hide when you try to give him supplements, apply topicals, etc. Murray is too calm 😅
My cat is suffering with worst allergies and it sucks that none of the vets have any solutions besides steroids which is making him gain weight :( . Thank you so much for sharing this video! Will try these remedies - hopefully his itchy scalp feels better after this .
I hope they work great for her
Any helped?
Can you confirm if any have helped and what specifically please?
my cat has licked her skin between her legs so it’s raw! and her whole face, head, neck ears are all cut and bleeding. vets only do steroids that help but i don’t want her on them so i’ll try these.
@@bjs2551it helps especially that cbd it’s easy to give it take time but better than chemicals of veterinary medicine.
I like Murray, hes a good cat. And the Vet is very knowledgeable. He shows us how to help our animals too. Thank you so very much.
You’re most welcome! Glad you find this video helpful.
My poor little ragdoll Grace had a food allergy. It clicked when I finally noticed she was shaking her head and getting red, puffy eyes and ears in the 30 or so minutes after eating her food. She’s now on hydrolysed kibble and probiotics and even though it’s only been a week or so she’s doing so much better.
Once she's all healed up you can slowly introduce single ingredient foods to see what she's allergic to. Keeping on kibble is not the best thing long run, my vet wanted to keep my cat on RX food for life but I declined and now know what he's allergic to. Not sure where you're located but the cleanest ingredient wet foods I've seen have been Koha pate, Hounds & Gatos pate and American Journey pate
@@nicooliver6019My cat seems to have food allergies too and she’s on hydrolyzed kibble for few weeks, how should i introduce her single ingredients, like should i give them to her at the same time she’s eating the kibbles or should i stop giving her the hydrolyzed food and start giving her the single protein?
@@vvv-kh6xu I would do a slow transition to the single protein once her symptoms have healed so you can monitor for new ones. Ones she’s been good on the single ingredient you can do a slow transition to another and do the same
For ear mites on a stray "community cat" (befriended while young), I use coconut oil in the ear, and mix with iodine for lesions on the exterior ear, head, face, and neck areas...
Just coconut oil elsewhere, AFTER rubbing down iodine and coconut oil mix, to remove scabbing and relieve itching, plus kill bacteria to prevent infection... At least twice daily, while I keep her inside, in an extra large dog crate during treatment... When real itchy, 3x daily (disolved in her favorite wet food) I give her a quarter 4mg tablet of an OTC allergy Chlorpheniramine Maleate (which is pretty weak, and cheap for a generic, compared to other allergy meds).
May I know the ratio of the mixture? Thank you
Can you please do a video on food allergies? There are so many food brands to choose from and some of them are not to be trusted, if you can guide some of us, it will be appreciated, thank you so much!!
qrustnyy ..I’ve thought the same but my cat hates human food.

@@himanshighangas2492 Cats are carnivores and CAN NOT EAT VEGETARIAN! Please read up on what cats REQUIRE in their diets.
Best remedy I've found is switching to completely raw diet. Consult your vet or buy a pre-made raw diet.

Just a tip for dustmites...
1/4 of white vinegar in spray bottle

Bless your heart doctor. I just found your channel and subscribed. Where have you been my whole life lol. What a blessing that you are willing to help people with advice they can do at home. This is a huge help for me as I am on a small SSDI income and have six rescue cats I have adopted, plus I am feeding the neighborhood strays. What a great peace you have already given me knowing that I will be able to provide better medical care for my cats because of your compassionate advice. Thank you from Bolt, Dot, Gadget, Speedy matriarch Meowble, and the cat caboodles mom.

I love your helpful videos. I have 1 senior dog and 2 young female cats.
I'm happy to hear that.
good video dr jones hopefully i won't have to use it .gotta love murray grumpy attitude makes me laugh lol
Thank you Dr. Jones!! My little Gary has been extremely uncomfortable for the last two weeks and I’ve been really concerned. I noticed about a week ago that he would cry any time I pet him on his back. He then started obsessively trying to lick his back, and would roll around trying to itch it. We changed his food to a different line a few days ago, and are hoping to see some results. I’ll definitely be trying some of these remedies ASAP. I feel so bad for my little Gary Berry 😢
Sounds like flea miliary dermatitis.
@@oliviamartini9700 I believe you are correct as we finally discovered flea poop in his fur a couple of weeks ago!! We put some of that flea stuff on his neck, and got some of that Diamascius earth stuff and powdered it all over the house. It seems to be helping but the incessant rainy weather has made the problem absolutely insane. It’s a true war against these fleas
This is just what I was looking for. Thank you. I’m going to try it
You're welcome, I hope it works well
Thank you very much for all the remedies and videos Dr Jones, very helpful and much appreciated :)
My pleasure!
What exactly helped? And what was your cats allergies symptoms?
Thank you soooo much for sharing this!!!!
You're welcome!
Hi my Savanna has developed an allergy since moving into our 5th wheel. I have taken her to the vet. He treated her for eye infection with steroid cream too both her eyes. When I took her to the doctor, it was her right eye that was watering a lot. His instructions was to put the cream in both eyes. Then her left, I got really bad. I took her back this morning and he said it’s not an infection. It must be an allergy. I don’t know what to do. I thought she was tricking me because her eyes will be wide open and then when she realizes I’m looking at her, she will squint her left eye . It’s crazy, but she does have drainage.
Thanks doctor 😊
Always welcome
Ok Dr , like natural remedies a big fan of it . Thank you 🙏.
Most welcome❤️
Thank you doc! I'll be trying that coconut oil/licorice root cream in conjunction with some fish oil supplements on one of my recently arrived stray-now-stay kitties who has inflamed skin.
Thank you for the recommendations. My cat is a new mom and has 3 kittens that are 4 weeks old today. She has scratched around her ears and neck and made them raw. I have tried everything. I even put the nail caps on her nails. But with knowing she is nursing I can't put any medication on her that the kittens might lick off her. It's been a struggle but most importantly I want to not only heal her wounds but I want to stop what ever is going on with her allergies. So I will try some of these
I purchased Stinging Neetle drops from local health food store. I take them as a natural antioxidant. I will try giving a couple of drops to my cats also.
Murray's a growler! I haven't had a growler since I was a kid. My guy has allergy symptoms sometimes along with flea bite allergy. Fresh Aloe vera barbadensis or miller variety can be eaten once the yellow alonin sap is drained and washed away. Some people eat the alonin too.... The Aloe gel rubbed all over my cat deterred or killed the fleas within a day along with the scratches and inflammation they created, allowing me to avoid prescription flea medication still... I use Diatomaceous earth around the house and bottom of furniture, mattress and pillow, but I use it mixed in water to apply it which is known as slurry in the horticulture field. I may even eventually try it on the cat that way if the aloe fails, but his sensitive skin and breathing still has me avoiding it. I was interested in using my Tumeric extract safely also. Also noticed cats love cannabis plants and prefer them over catnip plants. Cats love to graze grass and safe plants. Was also thinking of having nettle growing for the nutrition and medical benefits. Thanks for your help I will refer to you often.
Thank you so much for this video. My cat has an allergy & vet said it is due to pollen. Gave her a steroid & she stopped itching for a while but it weakened her immune system & made her sick plus an eye infection.
The shot finally wore off & she healed, but she is back to itching again😡 so i will try these remedies. Which should i try 1st? She has a few places without hair but skin is intact.
Such a relaxing video 🙂
Thanks for watching!

Thank You, we are doing everything we, and the vets know, for our very sick cat. She is scratching herself crazy. She, even though sick, is still very sweet. Thank You, FR
Has anything help your cat I have one that is very sick and don't have the money to take her to the vet to find out what is causing the allergy I feed stray cats I took her home have her inside everything started after she got spayed
Call around and see if you can get help to take her to the vet. Find a rescue in your area, and see if they can help pay for it. I work for a vets office and we use something called animal defense league. Don't make your cat suffer. Get her help
I’m sure when the spayed her they vaccinated her. So it could be the vaccine. They do have detox is for vaccine. If you look up adored beast they have one called rebalancer. You get four pumps of the spray bottle twice a day for 10 days and then stop. I’m doing that for my cats not even though they were vaccinated over six months ago
My cat hates coconut oil and seems to know when am about to use it on him.
There's alot of hide and seek in the house during this time.
I know mine runs too, he doesnt like coconut oil.
😂😂
😮 I can't keep my cats away from it to the point they will sit with and clean the dog when I've used it on her too! 😂
You must go raw you make yourself. These pet foods are no damn good period. They've messed up our food so bad it is only option left.
On your blog post about "healing with nettle" the dosage is listed at 25mg per 10lbs twice daily. This video says 1mg/10 lbs twice daily. That is a big difference. Which is correct?
Dr. Andrew Jones, THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video🙏🏻☺️. I am going to try these top natural treatments right away for my little fur baby vs having her on continuous medication from the vet she was on for two weeks😑. Want her to be her happy playful self again, her paws and nails also seem to be bugging her, hoping this will help with that as well (if you have any recommendations for that pls let me know). Thanks again for your help and also for the compassion you have for all animals and for sharing only natural remedies, you are awesome❤️🐾🐾. Love your cute little fur babies, too!!😍😍🐾🐾
You’re welcome! Let me know how it goes!

Hi love your videos! I just subscribed recently and it is so nice of you to make these videos for us! Can you please make a video on your opinion on bladder blockages in cats and how to prevent it? My cat recently had to be put down due to recurring bladder blockages and after several vet visits the vet decided he had to be out down as he was dying. I am so sad & heart broken over this and I have 3 remaining cats and I would appreciate any advice you have on bladder blockages in cats. Thank you! 💕
My male cat had bladder blockage and I was lucky enough to see what was going on. I took him immediately to the vet as they can die from this. They suggested a different kibble that was to reduce this issue...it worked, but in doing so he became diabetic. I researched diet changes because I wasn't willing to give him daily shots. I have him now eating raw food as I continued to search out the best recipe. It's a lot of work, but was well worth it. It has been 6yrs now and he has lost his weight and doing fine. Just recently he has been doing the pulling of hair out of his back and paws. I got him an antiseptic shampoo and that seems to help for a short period of time. I will try all the other methods mentioned above. Thanks Dr. Jones......I've spoke to you in the past about my dog and you gave me great advice.
When the same happened to my cat the vet said he sadly fit the bill of almost every predisposition she noticed: indoor, male, orange, heavier cat. Filtered water and ample hydration (I add water to my cats food now) and Liquid Vet makes a urinary track support supplement you can find at Walmart, they are a wonderful small USA business and it has worked for my cat. As well as their glucosamine for my dogs hips and joints. As well as learning their psychology and how they speak to your through body language can aid in your preventative care
My cat licks uncontrollably when you touch anywhere from the base of her tail to the bottom of her shoulder blades. Mostly people posting about this think it's cute or funny but it really does seem like a cat is in some kind of distress when they're going through this. Is this an allergic reaction? I'm not sure how to approach treating this
Thank you for your informative videos. I love that you show instructions with your own cats. My kitty has been itching by her ear a lot and cut herself. Ill be trying out the coconut oil for her ears and as a cream. Thanks again for all the advice, your cats are so cute! 🐾🐈

Murray is a sweetie. So are you thanks for the tips!
You're welcome, glad they help!
Dr Andrew's, please help !❤
For the TOPICAL.
There's not hair loss, so how can I put it on??
They Itch, and it is in fact allergies
Their ears Itch. No sweet odor, no debris. Suffering
I want to try the licorice root and coconut oil for my kitty... is licorice extract the same as tincture?
thanks for the video, problem is my allergic Michelle is not as calm as Murray...😿😺
Gonna try some or all of these suggestions. Hope one works. Thank you.

@@VeterinarySecrets Hi, are you able to list the products you mentioned? Also, I’m not seeing your link. Can you put that in comments? Thanks so much

I can't wait to try these, my cat has pretty much scratched her hair off and shes full of wounds and scabs. I've taken her to the vet 3 times and they still don't know and I can't afford to keep taking her so it's nice to see some home remedies I can try. Thank you thank you. I hope this helps
Thanks- I hope it helps too
do you have any updates?
Any updates? My cat too is suffering with severe itching and scratching. He’s wounding himself :/
Same here, my cat was undiagnosed and I switched vets, because I felt like there should be reason other than mites for his itching, I was right, turns out he has really bad allergies. Since we have had him since I was very little he is an older cat, so I am very sad to say the newer vet only prescribed him with itch managing medication which is cause of diabetes and such, but won’t do tests on him to find the root cause of his itchiness.
So I took it upon myself to try to help him out by switching up his diet to try and find a cause there, his inflammation has definitely gone down, but unfortunately he is still itching and breaking his skin. It sucks because if it were mites we could just treat it and it would go away :(
A beautiful video. Thank you for the tips. I find that cat biscuits can cause skin alergies in some cats.
Are you in UK? Cat biscuits are treats or dry food?
Very interesting video. Just wonder how to give the cod live oil capsules to a cat…
My kitty has skin allergies and will try these Remedies. Can you please tell me what kind of cat food you were serving?
I have used Sovereign Silver to close scratches from infected wounds. Was that ok?
A cut off sleeve may help ,cut long sleeve shirt sleeve off, poke 2 holes with scissors for front legs , stretch em out , or 4 holes depending the length you"re going for. ( At least they wont lick their fur out ) or can use a sock if smaller cat - want it snug but comfortable for them they wont like it but works in a pinch until vet help ❤❤
Thank you so much for posting this. I've subscribed and am about to go put some coconut oil on my itchy kitty before bed. I'll be getting the licorice tincture and nettle tomorrow. Namaste!

Hey did the coconut oil by itself help with the itching? I don't have the licorice tincture yet either
I ❤ Murray 😻
Can you please advise on types/names of coconuts oils as there are so many now as well as on CBD oils suitable for cats.
I'm interested in the free book. Can you use turmeric or does it have to be the straight curcumin?
Dr. Jones, my cat has chronic hot spots on her chest and right thigh. Chest sores prevent an e-collar to protect thigh. I've tried coconut oil, oral CBD. I will try your other remedies but her sores are bad and chronic. Should I wrap her hip? If so how do I bandage it? I can't get her to stop and e-collar makes chest worse. Help!
I would really like all the facts and things I can do to make my cat feel better.
Aww you look a bit like Steve Irwin especially in your first video
Thanks! What an honor?
OMG he does🤣👏
Oh my, he does look like Steve Irwin. I miss watching him on tv. Murray is a good cat. My cat Sugar is a rescue cat and she is very stubborn. I hope she will be as good as Murray,,lol.
Please, I need some advice.
We have a male Turkish van cat, we adopted him in 2018 and he had no health issues at all.
We moved into a new apartment in 2020 in the same complex, that year, he developed a spot about 2 to 3 inches above his tail. The spot had a little redness, and what would look like hives in a human.
Our cat had this issue for a couple of months, and it only stayed in one spot . The spot cleared up after using a topical, animatrix? I believe it was called.
The spot then went away for about a year and a half and came back . we now have him in a recovery suit again so he doesn’t lick the spot raw. The weird thing is he’s not constantly going at it and it doesn’t look like it’s spreading or any kind of ringworm or bacterial.
Does this sound relatively familiar at all?
You're awesome !! :)
Enjoy the videos. I've tried several times to get your ebook but I never get the confirmation email. What to do????
My cat literally rips all of his hair off & makes himself bleed if he doesnt have a cone on. I spent so much money at the vets for us to Never be able to figure out a solution to this or even find out what the problem is, i did some digging and i think he has cat dermatitis, which never goes away. he has been living with a cone on for 2 years now i do have a body suit so he doesnt have to stay in cone but he just rips out the fur he can reach when thats on, so instead of his stomach or back he will rip the hair out of his legs and scratch all the hair off the top of his head n it bleeds a lot so i have to cut his nails. and I feel so bad cuz he looks sad. N uncomfortable and we cannot stop him from ripping his hair out. And its not anxiety or nervous things becuz hes friendly and doesnt hide from nothing or no one. Hes not a nervous cat.... We are stumped n i feel bad for him but id never give him to someone else cuz they'd just give up on him. I wish i knew someone who could fix him cuz ive tried for 2 years n still cant figure it out. Its sad to see. He is such a happy cat never scratches never bites. Sweetest thing ever but has to be in a come all the time 😢
Have you tried any of these remedies here? Here’s hoping!
It's so nice to see homeopathic cat remedies. I have a cat that takes methimazole for hyperthyroidism. He's very itchy and doesn't like to be touched much anymore. Would the curcumin interfere with the methimazole?
Are there any of these remedies that shouldn’t be combined??
Can I use the Topical Cream on my dog as well?
My longhaired cat has bad dandruff, previously he had lost hair on his back at the base of his tail, the vet said he was allergic to fleas, recommended treated that way, it seem to work, but still has the dandruff, what would be a natural remedy I could use on him, coconut oil?
My cats loved coconut oil 😍
Hey trying these remedies on my cats . How are the fish oils given? By just giving them the pills?
what is the difference between stinging nettle - Urtica dioica - for tea (in central Europe we use it as universal herbal tea) and this nettle? probably no difference. I am lucky I live where this grows in the wild.
If my 7 month old cat sneezes often, does that mean he has an allergy? We gave him an antibiotic a couple of months ago before he was neutered and it helped, but he still sneezes now and then.
Can you use witch hazel in place of the licorice root tincture?
What kind of allergy would cause hair loss at the inside base of my cats tail like you mentioned?
The fish oil how would you give it to the cat? Do you break them open and put them in the cat's food?
