Have the same one, pleasure to drive. quiet + power + comfort + made in Japan + no cvt + has tranny dipstick + dual pane windows for quiet + no i-stop + no cly deactivation + bose sound.
Be happy with that auto transmission! It's one one the few sub that actually has a actual automatic transmission 😮
Just purchased this exact Turbo model and I gotta say it is amazing. The refinement and handling are far above the other vehicles in the class. A few people say it needs a touch screen and I say no way! I find the touch screens very distracting and the Mazda interact system is easy to use. Stay classy my friend... ZOOM..ZOOM..
I thought it was a touch screen. But you could only interact using the screen when parked.
No not on the cx5 it’s actually a lot better for the vast majority of uses
Our 2020 CX-5 GT has a touch screen, we’re picking up 2023 CX-5 Signature Turbo later this month (in route). The two model years have different screen size , the 2023 screen has lower profile vs the 2020. Would have liked wireless Apple CarPlay, but not available. I was wondering if COVID and the chip shortage was perhaps the reason for not offering it.
In comparing this with the RAV 4s and CRVs I definitely agree for the money power wise this would be my choice. Love that it has so much low end torque. Awesome review as always man!
The Rav 4 and CRV have a little more back seat and cargo space but if you don’t plan on putting people over 6’3 back there constantly, the CX-5 is more than enough. Driving dynamics wise, the CX-5 is in my opinion by far the best in its class!

Very informative driver's type review. Well done. Particularly liked the steering, gearing and short shifting explanation/ presentation. Confused by the slight dis of the transmission...seems like gearing and shift points are a perfect match to the engine, perhaps could be crisper? Clarify in the comments?

It’s the initial on throttle that it revs so much just to get power. I miss my 22 CX 5 naturally asp. so much 😢 hopefully will get it back today.

Probably the Sorento turbo but only if it has AWD. The CX-5 is smaller but it’s nice to get standard AWD 👍🏼

I think the seats are uncomfortable. Too hard on your butt and back. Might still get one but will probably use a comfy seat cover.

What's the main differenece between this and the regular Turbo? From experts and reviewers the Turbo signature is without a doubt. Overpriced.

Everything about the CX5 looks great except the dashboard. Why are the dashboards still looking so old fashioned? I don't see anyone else mentioning this. Am I the only one bothered by this? Lol
You're right the dashboard looks like a bmw sedan 2003 my cousin used to have :D I like the minimalist design but it really does look dated.
Idk I like how simplistic it looks. Everyone has there own opinion though 🤷

@@dlroto I hate touch screens and finger prints so prefer the dial which is really easy to use. Each to their own I guess.
