I never knew you could just have the Great Jar NPCs throw themselves off the ledge! I fought them so many times trying to get that talisman early and nobody told me?????
I like no HUD too sometimes, but I much prefer customizable HUD. Whenever I have the option I lower the HUD opacity to like 5-10% if I can so it’s barely noticeable unless I’m actually looking for it. I’d try running HUDless in Elden Ring but I’m a caster so I need to know what spells, how much FP… etc. if I had the option though I’d definitely customize it to have very low opacity, only show the status bars and hide everything until I interact. Basically the lock on only appears for a moment when you click it on, and it would flash quickly when you turn it off. The menu box would be invisible until you swap spells and it would show up and the fade away after a moment, same with flasks… etc. stuff only appears when you need it. Maybe even Status bars too.. your Health/FP/Stamina bar only shows when you take damage or use them and the becomes fully visible and lightly pulsing when you’re dangerously low on health/FP/Stamina. Same with Runes. It just pops up when you gain runes and then fades away. For the compass it could appear when you press/hold the “pouch”/quick menu button (triangle on ps5) and then it fades. That would be so nice, clean looking and make for much better screenshots and recording and it would be really immersive for basic exploration and stuff. Nothing in your view unless you want it and the important information only shows when you need it. If I played on PC I’d absolutely try to mod this or ask someone to mod it for me. The “immersive mode” HUD, or “Spirit HUD” because it’s invisible most of the time but guides you like a friendly spirit assistant just giving you little updates. “Hey bro, you’re gonna die soon. Fix that?” Also, another mod I always wanted was an option to automatically swap to the first slot of your item wheel (your flask) when your health hits a certain threshold. No more panic scrolling for the right slot for your flask, no thinking about it at all… your health is super low, just hit square and heal. Done. There should also be a consumable talisman like the sacrificial twigs that will burn one talisman to auto heal you using your own flask. If a hit would’ve killed you, it uses a flask to heal you and burns the consumable talisman. For those times when you’re super close to beating a boss but trying to heal quickly enough gets you killed. Call it maybe “spirit flask” or something or “grace flasks” and they’re just like sacrificial twigs. “A fragile magical flask that; once bonded with its user, will automatically administer the healing effects of crimson tears to a tarnished in dire need. These items were prototypes developed to fight scarlet rot and treat wounds on the battlefield, but the cost and skill required to create them made them very impractical to outfit an entire army with. What was once a promising and innovative invention that was believed to potentially change warfare forever, has been relegated to rare oddities often found in the collections of nobles or high ranking military commanders who sought them for their historical value more than their practical use.” … something like that. Maybe when you equip the talisman, it takes one flask away from your inventory (as if you poured the liquid into a different container.) and sits ready to save your ass! You get one “freebie” per flask where a single attack, no matter how strong is negated by the healing. The attack lands, your health bar goes down and immediately ‘wshhzzhh’ you get healed. You get to survive one attack that would have killed you, whether you had 1hp and a turtle bumps into your shin, or you have full hp and a demigod turns into a meteor and lands on your spine full force. Either way, you get a freebie and a full flask heal. Those are my two mod ideas. Immersive HUD, and the Spirit Flask consumable talisman.
I wont lie, seeing you go HUDless makes me wanna start a new mage build without a HUD. Especially cuz I kinda just learned today that Spinning Weapon on a staff does Strike damage, and with high enough Int, basically makes it immediately stance break Crystalians, one of my biggest pains to face, and I want to go and work through a Base Game playthrough to hit all the stuff earlier than I am in my MAIN mage playthrough (which is, NG+2 and over level 200, lol).
The kale thing kinda makes sense to me cause you'd hear the obviously-a-guy-making-a-howl-sound-and-not-an-actual-wolf and then later on you'd be talking to kale to buy shit or just out of curiosity and you'd see the new text option
Yeah, I was still going back to Kale and saw it, but got stumped on the next stage of the quest... because I’d killed deriwhil in the gaol like 3 hours prior and didn’t remember his name
42:30 When you want to see Gowry, you warp to the Heart of Aeonia site of grace, where you defeated Commander Niall. Then just head East a short distance and walk around a hill. The entrance to Sellia, and Gowry's shack by extension, will be right there. No need to get attacked going through Sellia. 1:27:13 Yeah, the only thing in the game that hints at Elden Beast even existing is the description of the Elden Stars incantation. Im more worried that they're gonna add new content but some of it might be connected to old quests. IE, a new recusant hunt or two that happen in the land of shadows, but if you already finished volcano manor, you gonna be shit outta lucks.
They've already said the DLC isn't going to affect anything in the main game, so... hopefully not. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Malenia changes in some way after you beat her brother.
"Full of beans" is totally a phrase here in the UK! It means being hyper, energetic, that sort of thing. Definitely getting a bit old fashioned now, though.
For Corhyn’s Quest, It’s completely possible to get 37 INT to use Law of Regression without levelling INT. Using Stargazer Heirloom+5INT, Marika’s scar Seal+3INT, Twinsage Glint Crown+6INT, Grafted Blade Great Sword+5INT, Intelligence-knot Crystal Tear+10INT and Godrick’s Great Rune +5INT with a Rune Arc. (Hero-INT7)+5+3+6+5+10+5=[41INT] 🤓🧐🧠

Watching every minute of these is always worth it. The cop slide clip making an appearance fucking killed me.
NPC stands for Nice Professional Content
I wont lie, seeing you go HUDless makes me wanna start a new mage build without a HUD. Especially cuz I kinda just learned today that Spinning Weapon on a staff does Strike damage, and with high enough Int, basically makes it immediately stance break Crystalians, one of my biggest pains to face, and I want to go and work through a Base Game playthrough to hit all the stuff earlier than I am in my MAIN mage playthrough (which is, NG+2 and over level 200, lol).
Just a little fun fact:kalè had a cut content quest line. Sekiro Dubi has a video of said questline if you are interested
My favorite NPC is Nepheli.
My favorite elden ring funny man is back! I've already got google open on my work computer!
I watch your videos every morning while I eat breakfast. Great way to start the day. Thank you
I actually did this for the build i'm preparing for the DLC a few weeks ago, it felt like playing through for the first time again
full of beans is actually a pretty common expression here in brit land, basically just means "am excited" or "have a lot of energy"
Heck yes! I'm in the middle of doing the same run as this, going to be a great guide
42:30
When you want to see Gowry, you warp to the Heart of Aeonia site of grace, where you defeated Commander Niall. Then just head East a short distance and walk around a hill. The entrance to Sellia, and Gowry's shack by extension, will be right there. No need to get attacked going through Sellia.

Yeah, the only thing in the game that hints at Elden Beast even existing is the description of the Elden Stars incantation. And even then, nothing to make you think it'll be the final boss.
I got a lvl 150 with 11 larva tears and a lvl 102 with 10 larva tears ready and, I got enough ancient dragons smithing stones and somber ones as well on both characters. I can't wait to hop on and play it on Thursday or Friday when it comes out!
Tulok, I've loved your videos all the way back to the fifth entry on the tier list. I am super excited for you to take on the DLC. (With no magic as god intended)
I did this run last month. (minus selevos or whatever his name is) It was super fun. Can't wait to watch the video because I'm commenting this before I've seen 2 seconds of the video.
Great Video! Honestly loved the Jargaritavile bit
Oh heck yeah over an hour long Tulok video! I know what I’m watching with lunch!
Pot bro is best bro (except the part where he eats people, don't worry about that though)
I do all the questline on pretty much every run. It’s pretty fun and gets you good items
Try doing Bare Fist next time. I’ve done it and plan on doing it in the DLC. Would be fun
52:09 "ok, you done bashing my brains in? Im getting back up".
"Oh no you don't. Get back here. I feel like one more bonk."
"Ugh, fine, 😮💨 But just one more and that's it."
Beautiful music, must rate 12/10 and must get a full version
I always thought full of beans was a common phrase? It means to be hyperactive / full of energy, its pretty commonly used in Ireland :3
2:24 i've always assumed that she was referring to a grafted scion there
My favorite npc is Alexander but boc is a very close 2nd. Right when the game came out I had a new coworker named Boc and he’s was pretty chill.
1:13:07 "Full of beans" is in fact a very common phrase in the UK, meaning "full of energy". No explanation needed
My favorite NPC is Varre, it's always funny to break his heart for believing so fervently in Mohg
I sure do hope nothing tragic or sad happens in any of these questlines!
"Full of beans" is totally a phrase here in the UK! It means being hyper, energetic, that sort of thing. Definitely getting a bit old fashioned now, though.
Do everything 100%, making out quest lines, full clearing all the legacy dungeons of any enemies, etc - is how I always do this game.
Thanks for the video. We all needed that.
Man I spent the entire video thinking how satisfying removing the rust from the anchor would be.
48:54 Your little references make my day.
Say what you will about the Dung Eater, but he can give Seluvis' quest the ending it deserves.
Alexander is my favourite, though.

Oh my God, someone else remembers 'just a pancakes kh videos! I ain't seen anyone acknowledge them in ages!
You're one of a privileged few youtube channels that I've actually turned notifications on for.
Love your vids!
Two days late but
I feel like 80% of the reason this vid was made was for that "NPSee" joke
If so, worth it
For Corhyn’s Quest, It’s completely possible to get 37 INT to use Law of Regression without levelling INT. Using Stargazer Heirloom+5INT, Marika’s scar Seal+3INT, Twinsage Glint Crown+6INT, Grafted Blade Great Sword+5INT, Intelligence-knot Crystal Tear+10INT and Godrick’s Great Rune +5INT with a Rune Arc.
(Hero-INT7)+5+3+6+5+10+5=[41INT] 🤓🧐🧠
YEAH BABY!!!! Great work as always Phil!!!!!
34:49 Sir, I feel extremely personally called out lol!
Seriously tho, great video as always!
ADVENTURE ZONE REFERENCE??????? Magnus rushes innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
I've gotta say Boc is my guy. He just wants to be loved, and I think that's beautiful.
Really great job, both you and Cory!!
Love the Tolarian Community College reference at the begining
My favourite NPC is completing all the other NPC quest lines? Good
Damn were being treated well excited for this one!
Pro tip to the hudless gamers if you hold down on the D-pad (or the equivalent on PC) it will switch to the item you have first in order allowing you to keep your place. (If Phil said this I have not gotten that far yet so don't bully me)
Love your content, genuinely can't tell if you've really never heard a rambunctious child or animal described as "full of beans" but if you tell people it's a common phrase I can guarantee I at least believe you
"Many Magic: The Gathering players ask the question". Nice reference lol and congrats to the prof on a mil
Hey man, I always watch your videos because you are pretty funny, and our political views are very similiar. But that part at 1:14:20, really hit close to home. No matter how much time passes, this kind of stuff, still gets to me. And hear you say those words, made me feel better, about myself and all. And I hope you're better about this too.
