Here's a fun little headache: Soldier of Godrick uses Charge Forth, even though that skill cannot be infused onto a Greatsword, marking a second unique "generic" weapon in the hands of an enemy besides Millicents Waterfowl Dance Shamshir.
the thing with the spell debate is that it is essentially pointless. for some people using spells is easier, for others using melee options is easier and that depends entirely on how the person approaches each fight and what their personal preferences are. we should just appreciate that we have multiple options and let the topic rest already
Ehhhh. Magic is objectively easy. Like I don’t even use magic in my main build and I prefer to stand on two feet and get to boxing with most of these bosses but I can tell you that it’s just straight up busted once you have the necessary levels. Some of the harder to hit bosses just get straight blitzed with an Azur spell or straight staggered with glintstone spam, the only downside is the sheer amount of stats you need to put levels into to be effective.

Well as a glass cannon you will die pretty often since theire is always some dude hiding behind you on your path and you need cast time and when he hits you once you have to cast again and than comes anotherone while casting😂
The difference is spells are, objectively, fucking broken. Absolutely play as you want and and however makes you happy, but there is a reason absurd level challenge runs like ng+stupid or enemies animations being sped up to 3x or whatever(don't remember exact numbers) rely upon spells. Every boss in the game is trivial with a tank spirit+nuke spell. Now, the older games that didn't balance ai for ranged and gave mage similar levels of current nuke were *much* worse, but From has always used mage as the accessability option

There's a handful of features that I wish were in Elden Ring. One of them is being able to reduce aggro range by wearing relevant armor. Godrick soldiers not attacking immediately if you're wearing Godrick armor, for example.

Super long video, but it was pretty entertaining, and the builds were different enough to not be repetitive. A couple of thing Tulok didn't mention about Lion's Claw is that you get extreme super armour during the entire animation, which means it's almost impossible to be knocked out of it, and the flip completely changes your hitboxes during the move, meaning you can avoid attacks while using it. It's just a phenomenal AoW.

10:52 so i have this theory that exile soldiers and banished knights in stormveil are loyal to malenia/miquella, and they're occupying the castle. since godrick knelt to malenia as she passed thru towards radahn.
They could be working for the twins but maybe only as mercenaries. Possibly lost their old lords like the storm king or were "banished" for heinous acts like dragon communion etc. Considering they are everywhere, I see them like Kaidens except they don't belong to any one group or clan, hence the "exile" and "banished."
Didn’t the Leyndell knights like…defend the city against a dragon siege? And they also fought off the demigods who were coming to lay claim on the Elden Throne. Hell one of their soldiers straight up challenged one of the golden lineage and came out on top, imprisoning the dude. I’m surprised that the Leyndell knights are so underrated. They’re like one of the only factions aside from the Carian Knights whose feats we actually know of.
It’s technically the Drangleic Greatsword moveset from Dark Souls 2, although it was also on the Royal Greatsword, the Mirrah Greatsword (Lucatiel’s Sword that later shows up as Hollow Slayer in DS3), as well as the Drakeblood Greatsword.

Maliketh just scream "WOLF" to me, his snout is too long to be a lion. Have a skinny and agile body while Lions are depicted more of a strong type in media. Wolfes are more associated to black/grey while lions are to gold like Serosh is. Speaking of Serosh, we have a lion and a wolf (Blaidd) that we can compare to Maliketh in game, and to me at least Maliketh is more similar to Blaidd than Serosh.

Also Tuloks not a shield guy, which is the most unique part of the kit, it’d end up mostly being stuff we’d seen before.

In my current playthrough the knight in Liurnia that drops the prayer book dropped the royal knight armor immediately. It was sick.
That's super lucky! That was my first instinct for farming, then I realized the horse one would actually be easier, since it doesn't have the shield up while on horse back
They were like "finally, a worthy successor! Take these, and wander aimlessly in my stead"
The only Gelmir knight (ghost) we see talks about how he left the serpent hunter where it is, logically, we must assume that the serpent hunter was his personal weapon for a time.

There's a handful of features that I wish were in Elden Ring.
One of them is being able to reduce aggro range by wearing relevant armor. Godrick soldiers not attacking immediately if you're wearing Godrick armor, for example.

The Lordsworn's Greatsword actually slaps. When I'm just trying to get through the beginning of the game quick it's my go to.

The only, ONLY gripe I have is that I wish it had a thrusting attack. Soldiers of God use it with thrusts and it has a very tapered blade obviously meant for it, so why can't we?

Super long video, but it was pretty entertaining, and the builds were different enough to not be repetitive. A couple of thing Tulok didn't mention about Lion's Claw is that you get extreme super armour during the entire animation, which means it's almost impossible to be knocked out of it, and the flip completely changes your hitboxes during the move, meaning you can avoid attacks while using it.
It's just a phenomenal AoW.

I’ve always been a proponent for the Lordsworn Greatsword; it’s got pressure, it’s got reach, it’s got crits, and you can switch its Ash of War. Glad to see it getting some love.

My main weapon for my first playthrough, except when I learned how busted the blasphemous blade was against Malenia. I used the Storm blade ash of war for its range and the surprising stance damage.
Yeah but it’s moveset is boring and feels slow, the Knight Greatsword has a better moveset.
10:52 so i have this theory that exile soldiers and banished knights in stormveil are loyal to malenia/miquella, and they're occupying the castle. since godrick knelt to malenia as she passed thru towards radahn.

I presumed they were initially loyal to Godwin, but after they lost their lord became mercenaries.
The mausoleum knights are the knights of Godwin
They could be working for the twins but maybe only as mercenaries. Possibly lost their old lords like the storm king or were "banished" for heinous acts like dragon communion etc. Considering they are everywhere, I see them like Kaidens except they don't belong to any one group or clan, hence the "exile" and "banished."
Didn’t the Leyndell knights like…defend the city against a dragon siege? And they also fought off the demigods who were coming to lay claim on the Elden Throne.
Hell one of their soldiers straight up challenged one of the golden lineage and came out on top, imprisoning the dude.
I’m surprised that the Leyndell knights are so underrated. They’re like one of the only factions aside from the Carian Knights whose feats we actually know of.

It’s technically the Drangleic Greatsword moveset from Dark Souls 2, although it was also on the Royal Greatsword, the Mirrah Greatsword (Lucatiel’s Sword that later shows up as Hollow Slayer in DS3), as well as the Drakeblood Greatsword.
Miquella knight using the bewitching branch with everything we’ve learned in the DLC fits so well.
Soldier of God, Rick is the real winner for those early drops 🏆

Maliketh just scream "WOLF" to me, his snout is too long to be a lion. Have a skinny and agile body while Lions are depicted more of a strong type in media. Wolfes are more associated to black/grey while lions are to gold like Serosh is. Speaking of Serosh, we have a lion and a wolf (Blaidd) that we can compare to Maliketh in game, and to me at least Maliketh is more similar to Blaidd than Serosh.

He addressed it man, patrons vote no. Probably because it was a memorable starting class in the beta, and therefore isn’t really a *secret* starting class. Same goes for the Bloody Wolf. Also Tuloks not a shield guy, which is the most unique part of the kit, it’d end up mostly being stuff we’d seen before.

I've never got up your ass about the criticism but it seems like every video you've got another more insulting way to refer to people who just happen to like a part of the game you don't. It seems like maybe you got some hate about it and it really got to you idk.
He's just got a hater's mindset tbh. I remember people correcting him on the pronunciation of Niall and Siofra because they're common Irish names, and he's made fun of Irish people in a few videos since then (and not in an affectionate way). But the only thing worse than being a hater is letting your haters live rent-free in your head and (seemingly) ruin your enjoyment of getting paid to play Elden Ring. Sad!
