Also can I suggest the following movies for you to react to…Meet The Robinsons (its underrated and I think it would be a fun movie for you to react to) and AVATAR (2009) (because the sequel is coming out this December and I think it would be important for you to see the first one before seeing the new one!)
There’s actually a reason why The Bad Guys is set in a world that’s mostly humans except for some few animal exceptions. All these animal stereotypes, wolves being cruel, foxes being sneaky, snakes being double crossers, all of them are not stereotypes of the animal kingdom. Unlike Zootopia, it isn’t a predator and prey situation, it’s a world of humans who stereotype certain animals as “good guys” and “bad guys”, and I like that dynamic!

The only problem was that the only non-traditionally evil animal character was Marmalade. With the exception of one, every anthropomorphic animal we see is villainized by society. They probably should've had a couple cats/dogs/rabbits in the background to show that society in this world is more accepting of less "scary" animals, and that the anthropomorphic animals also unfairly stereotype each other.
Just to let you know the reason why the animation style is like this is because there are a series of graphic novels called the bad guys, and those are what this movie is based off of. I think it works really well
The Bad Guys was hilarious. A lot of funny moments that wouldn't let you catch a break from laughing. The cast was also amazing especially Sam Rockwell as Mr. Wolf. Whoever was in charge of casting the actors in this movie did a perfect job.

Basically the elementary school-level Ocean’s Eleven. Since The Bad Guys is based on a kids’ book series, a sequel shouldn’t be far behind for DreamWorks should they get started on one. It would mean more heists along with a new story.
I just watched _The Bad Guys_ last month in theaters with my cousin, no joke in theaters after I haven't went to a movie theater for 2 ½ years straight and it's by far one of DreamWorks best animated films since the How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda films. Everything from the story, the voice cast (Sam Rockwell, Awkwafina, Zazie Beetz, Anthony Ramos, Richard Ayoade, Lilly Singh, etc.), and the comedy were phenomenal but it's the animation for _The Bad Guys_ that impressed me the most, as it's vastly different than the CG animation seen in the previous DreamWorks animated films (e.g. Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar) considering that the titular characters, the supporting cast including the humans gives off a Hand Drawn Cel-Shaded look similar to the animation seen in Disney's _Paperman_ and _Feast_ and especially Sony Pictures Animation's _Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,_ which the filmmakers did admit the film was a huge inspiration for the animation. I also am getting a lot of _Lupin the 3rd_ and _Dragon Ball_ vibes for the character designs, especially on the Poliece Chief. Even the same can be said for the upcoming _Puss in Boots: The Last Wish_ as the visual style is giving off a 2D/3D visual style so I'm excited on the future direction DreamWorks Animation is heading.
There's actually something that I noticed about Snake saying that he hated his partners the least, he can't say he loves them because snakes lack the part of the brain for feeling love.
@@TheHighFlys And to think the original author of Captain Underpants refused any movie studio to adapt his book into film. What finally convinced him to do so was that he enjoyed Shrek and believed his book would be in good hands with DreamWorks.
I like this movie. It's not very deep, but it is really fun! I read somewhere that the animation director showed his animators Into The Spider-Verse and said "I wanna do something like this."
Just watched the movie a few hours ago before watching your reaction and it's so refreshing to see something like this where you break old tired stereotypes and doing something totally unexpected. We need more stories like this with these types of animals and personally I am so glad that Dreamworks picked this film up instead of Disney as I do enjoy Dreamworks animated films more and I don't know if Disney would have picked this up anyway. I love all the characters in this and their redemption arcs, but Mr. Snake is my absolute favorite because I especially enjoyed his redemption arc and his double cross of Marmalade was awesome and I may be a bit bias but I also really love snakes and reptiles in general so there is that. It's just so nice to see these types of animals getting a respite from the constant prejudice that humans, and the media has thrown at them and hopefully someday, it'll be a permanent respite. Always love your reactions Tim :) keep it up.
Love the reaction. Was definitely looking forward to this one. :B Also, easily one of my favorite movies from recent years. The characters, the action, the animation, the cinematography; all perfect, in my opinion.

Mr snakes backstory is so emotional life treated him like a reject that is the reason why he hates everyone because he felt lost and alone when he betrays marmalade he did the thanos snap a badass moment he Became the most powerful and badass and relatable member of the bad guys or some shit like that
The thing about this show is that anything that is cartoony will stick in this movie like Mr. Snake moving a HEAVY MONEY VAULT that should be over 200-400 pounds with easy and throws it in the car and Mr. Shark pulling off his disguises despite being unable to change his body size. Anything that is cartoony in this movie still 'works' cuz its still meant for family/kids.
Oh damn, I just realized Chief Luggins is voiced by Alexandrea "Alex" Borstein, who also voices Lois Griffin on _Family Guy._ I really enjoyed Luggins' character, as there were about a million horrible stereotypes about cops or strong women they could have gone with, and instead they aimed higher.

Awesome reaction my friend, I actually compare both "The Bad Guys" and "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Versus" with wonderful animation style. Most of all I would compare the movie with my favorite videogame series "Sly Cooper".
The Big Bad Wolf is a Eurasian wolf (Canis lupus lupus), also known as the common wolf, which is a subspecies of grey wolf native to Europe and Asia. It was once widespread throughout Eurasia prior to the Middle Ages. Aside from an extensive paleontological record, Indo-European languages typically have several words for "wolf", thus attesting to the animal's abundance and cultural significance. It was held in high regard in Baltic, Celtic, Slavic, Turkic, ancient Greek, Roman, and Thracian cultures, whilst having an ambivalent reputation in early Germanic cultures. It is the largest of Old World grey wolves, averaging 39 kg (86 lb) in Europe; however, exceptionally large individuals have weighed 69-79 kg (152-174 lb), though this varies according to region. Its fur is relatively short and coarse, and is generally of a tawny colour, with white on the throat that barely extends to the cheeks. Melanists, albinos, and erythrists are rare, and mostly the result of wolf-dog hybridisation. The howl of the Eurasian wolf is much more protracted and melodious than that of North American grey wolf subspecies, whose howls are louder and have a stronger emphasis on the first syllable. The two are, however, mutually intelligible, as North American wolves have been recorded to respond to European-style howls made by biologists. Many Eurasian wolf populations are forced to subsist largely on livestock and garbage in areas with dense human activity, though wild ungulates such as moose, red deer, roe deer and wild boar are still the most important food sources in Russia and the more mountainous regions of Eastern Europe. Other prey species include reindeer, argali, mouflon, wisent, saiga, ibex, chamois, wild goats, fallow deer, and musk deer.

Ngl, I couldn't stop thinking about G Force (2009) while watching this lol - both involve guinea pigs & a main character voiced by Sam Rockwell. I'd love to see Tim react to G Force someday.
I did expect to get so much enjoyment from this newest Dreamworks film, but I had one of the best times watching it! I love the characters, the animation, comedy, and the number of plot twists. Honestly, one of the best Dreamworks films I’ve seen in a long time!
Fun Fact:In the books the movie is loosely based off, it was revealed Marmalade was a many tentacled alien with butts at the ends. The creators actually wanted to do that twist, but they thought that would’ve gotten people to walk out of the theater, despite it being from the source. And…yeah, I think they made the right call.
3:313:436:2943:48 I *love* the animation style in this film lol. The animation reminds me of Wreck It Ralph, Turning Red & Sherlock Gnomes, but it also seems to hv a graphic novel kind of style to it similar to Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse - it's definitely unique & fun tho. The film itself feels like Zootopia meets Ocean's Eleven lol (tho Professor Marmalade also reminds me of Moriarty from Sherlock Gnomes tbh 25:06).

I just have one question a bit of a plot hole. When exactly did wolf put the ice block( push pop) in the freezer? Because to my knowledge Wolf and the governor went straight to the heist of Professor marmalades, meteorite immediately after equipping themselves at the governors house. By that logic, there was no time for Wolf to go back to the lair and put that push pop in the fridge.
All the twists were super obvious. That's like rule #1 to making bad guy leads likeable, have another character be worse. I was really hoping they weren't going to go that route and do something new. It's like writing for preschoolers. Honestly, it kind of ruined the movie for me a little bit. Except for one thing... the reveal that the governor used to be a criminal herself and got reformed, working her way up to a position of power (through respect, not sneakiness like the fox stereotype suggests). I honestly predicted that too earlier in the film, but I'm glad they included that. It does work to the writing's advantage. It would've been more meaningful if her past was public knowledge though. I'm also glad they still went to jail in the end. 95% of the time they just get let off the hook cause they're "good now."
@@goatjay5881 there's no film in the world that everyone can "just enjoy." People are going to feel differently for different reasons. For some people (like myself) the writing is key for enjoyment.
I finally saw The Bad guys on Peacock and I LOVED IT 🥰. I took a hiatus from dreamworks after boss baby because I really disliked it. But this movie had a great cast, awesome animation, clever comedy and a fast paced but well written plot. It was everything that made me Love dreamworks. Spread the word to your friends Tim 🙏🙏🙏
I’m glad you were able to enjoy this awesome movie. The next DreamWorks movie you should watch should totally be Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. It is so hilarious and it would be a joy for you to watch.
For a second there, I thought the surprise film might be Sonic The Hedgehog 2, 'cause it's already released digitally. And I'm watching HD clips of it here on UA-cam.
Holy hell dreamworks owned by universal and nickelodeon owned by paramount and blue sky owned by Disney and now Sony pictures animation owned by Columbia Jesus wonder what will Illumination will get owned by

9:15 Zazie (Domino from Deadpool 2) looks like other actress Amelia (The Hitman’s Bodyguard), Debora (Baby Driver), Mary Embrey (Hancock), Barbara Gordon (The Lego Batman Movie), Rita (Bad Boys For Life), Harcourt (Peacemaker), Ramona Flowers (Scott Pilgrim vs the World) and Carla (In the Heights) as Diane Foxington
they need to make The Bad guys 2 Where they get out of prison and become good but then get framed and then yeah.
I’ve never seen this movie before so I’m glad to be reacting to this as well I’ve been really wanted to see it
been waiting for this since I saw the movie, hope cody also puts a video on it
The police chief is voiced by none other than Alex Borstein, aka Lois Griffin from Family Guy.

To answer your question, I say a good chunk of this amazing movie is inspired by Lupin the Third anime.
Aren't Foxes usually bad guys in stories as well? Like the fox and the crow.. little cunning little fellas aren't they
This movie is the literal best thing ever!!! Bro I love Snake - and Diane X Wolf rulessss
Cool reactions, also nice shades 😊
Thxx
Bully maguire: still got move 😎
This film has a perfect blend of comedy and drama like it has its moments of sad scenes like mr snakes backstory
sorry that your video got taken down, BTW love your reaction to the bad guys and absolutely loving this movie.
Honestly, one of the best Dreamworks films I’ve seen in a long time!
omg yay I watched this yesterday and wanted to see your reaction!!
hope you enjoy
That intro was perfection
So who else got lupin the 3rd vibes from wolf
Fun Fact:In the books the movie is loosely based off, it was revealed Marmalade was a many tentacled alien with butts at the ends. The creators actually wanted to do that twist, but they thought that would’ve gotten people to walk out of the theater, despite it being from the source. And…yeah, I think they made the right call.
I loved Piranha, but they probably could've acc made him a Skunk instead w/ how often his farts were crucial to the plot lol 5:14 12:15 12:32 34:36
0:10 nice intro with the Bully Maguire
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Animation Kinda Reminds Me Of Spider Verse And The Mitchells
I love this Movie, and you with your Outfit. The Song scen and the Song is so nice
A dog (or wolf) wagging his tail does not mean he's turned on...
I freaking Love this movie🖤
dude the bad guys is a book series
This is basically "Me and the Boys - The Movie", it has such a bro vibe, like Emperor's New Groove
3:31 3:43 6:29 43:48 I *love* the animation style in this film lol.
I just watched this movie. It was alright. A fun alright. Light fun for kids but not dumbed town to senseless mush. It's good

Not based off a cartoon, but a kids book series. However, the art style and character dynamics are drastically different.
Escape of the guinea pigs!!!🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 ( best scene in the movie)
Or just enjoy what you get instead of.being spoiled but hey the standards of people on the internet are just gone these days.
@@imag-nonespaghet9337 I'm not sure what exactly you're getting at.
@@oliviarogers2808 😂😂 he means just enjoy instead being so complicated
@@goatjay5881 there's no film in the world that everyone can "just enjoy." People are going to feel differently for different reasons. For some people (like myself) the writing is key for enjoyment.
Yo tim love your video keep up the good work
Appreciate it!
@@TimotheeReacts keep up the good work
love the soundtrack in this one!
Thanks for putting it back up
Thanks for watching
I was waiting for someone to react to this film!! 😍😍
This is so awesome I love it!❤😍
I remember watching this movie on my phone, during class
This movie is so wholesome,
I kinda love the story than Buzz tbh
It's basically furry Lupin the third
It's a pretty obscure franchise I wonder if you heard of it
I finally saw The Bad guys on Peacock and I LOVED IT 🥰. I took a hiatus from dreamworks after boss baby because I really disliked it. But this movie had a great cast, awesome animation, clever comedy and a fast paced but well written plot. It was everything that made me Love dreamworks. Spread the word to your friends Tim 🙏🙏🙏
Best Animated Film Ever
Ms. Tarantula and Mr. Wolf are my favorite Bad Guys
I’m glad you were able to enjoy this awesome movie. The next DreamWorks movie you should watch should totally be Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie. It is so hilarious and it would be a joy for you to watch.
Lol haven't watched this movie but now I wanna.
Legit the moment I saw the Guinea pig I suspected the dude. But overall loved the movie
For a second there, I thought the surprise film might be Sonic The Hedgehog 2, 'cause it's already released digitally. And I'm watching HD clips of it here on UA-cam.
It’s not released digitally.. that’s the 24th
U are so creative. Good intro 🤙
*Who is your favourite character from the movie?!?*
Mr. Piranha 🐟
mr wolf because furry like it
Mr. Snake, for sure. Great personality and voice, and the way they animated him to make up for his lack of limbs was fantastic.
Ms. Tarantula, she’s very smart and funny
The boys can count on her when they need a hand or six with computer science
I like Diane and wolf's chemistry so both of them
Although the animation is literally stop motion, then it goes smooth then back into stop motion. Imma still watch this movie
I watched the movie first before I could watch your reaction, its a good movie.
I did the same thing too

thx
I want the next antagonist to be played by Michael fassbender as multiverse mr wolf

Honetly I'd be pissed off too if I were in their shoes. Not because he wanted to change but because he lied and betrayed them
