This is Christ the Center episode 625 (www.reformedfo...)
Where can I find the movie?
I'm surprised they don't have a movie about calvin. I seen a old and newer movie of luther, and a old movie of knox.
But I have never seen more than a documentary on calvin. which I find strange, because there was a lot going on with calvin. if he didn't have popes threatening to wipe out geneva, or so called witches putting the plague on door handles, he had libertines running naked thru the streets on Christmas festivals. He's writing to kings and queens, and fellow reformers, preaching like a machine, writing biblical commentaries and the institutes. the turks are a concern and the inquisition. val kilmer could be calvin and russle crow john knox. you don't have to make stuff up cause there a million interesting historical plots going on.
because calvin is too controversial unlike luther who was a half hearted protestant who didn’t let go of papist elements
All glory to GOD! May we be strengthened to praise our perfect savior, may we glorify God and come
To humble desperation that we know in and of us we have have no good apart from Christ and his finished work.
We need no priest we need no pope we need only CHRIST, and to have the cross ever before us. We will never understand his full GLORY UNTIL HE RETURNS FOR HIS BROTHERS and SISTERS!
Me gusta mucho.
115 dollars 😭 I guess no lessons or movies for me
May someone post a link where to watch the film? Thanks ahead of time.
Ya gotta buy it. No freebies here.
I wonder if the Puritans would approve of tattoos.
23 mins. into this and not a word about the subject of the Puritans. Everything on this podcast is talking about a book rather than the subject of a book, or here a video. It used to be about doctrine. When they decided to get away from debate, or iron sharpening iron, and only having people who were either selling something or totally on the same page with each other this podcast became very low energy and low information. For instance, why were Cathars called puritans before the puritans? (Cathar is Greek for pure or the pure ones, i.e. puritans) Is there a connection? Why were Puritans so anti-establishment? Is that a difficult subject for seminary graduates? Etc., etc. How about a good hour long talk about Puritans instead of the guy who did the photography for the inserts of the box set...
Agree bunch of bullshit
You seriously can't find out anything about the Puritans? It does happen to be about putting the thing together. The sometimes do that with"real" movies. They sit and talk to the stars about how the movie came about, assuming you're familiar with the subject already. So?
@@tbillyjoeroth Maybe you're their target audience.
