I've got the Woodward Fab unit with the swag air over hydraulic adapter. I believe you will love the new bender. Mine works flawless and is extremely repeatable with the degree wheel and pointer.

. I'm in the process of building floor model bender. The design is pretty common but I'm making some changes. I found a 120° 1 5/8 Woodward Fab knock-off die set for $111 and using $90 air over hydraulic ram that I purchased from Vevor. I figured by the time all is said and done I'll have $500 into it. Subscribed to your channel. Going to see what other videos you have now. Thanks.

@@mountainsgarageany idea on minimum wall thickness that will work for 1 5/8 tube on a bender ike this? I'd like to use HREW tube for gocart frames or custom bicycles. HREW seems to be the cheapest option that would work for my needs, but still kinda pricey. Any advice?

One thing you didn't touch on was the difference in benders such as , compression bender and mandrel bender. I'm not really sure myself about the mandrel bender, but I think what you have is called a compression bender. Mandrel sounds expensive though.

I got my JD2 bender off marketplace for 250 with a 1 5/8 die and I've never had a bender but was going to buy that affordable bender before I for it. Don't get me wrong you do need to have the jd2 bolted to something if your not converting it to air/hydraulic ram from harbor freight, its really not that bad to pull on I've seent all kinds of pictures of them benders bolted to engine stands DIY carts and what'nots..

I love how you explain things! Seems like I learn something new every time! Thank you sir!
I heard of some people packing their material with sand/glass beads which keeps it from deformity as easily.. Thoughts?
