Any day is a good day fishing. But if you find fish that keeps you busy, it is a lot of fun. If you catch a big fish, it is a great day. Be blessed. My brother.
Great video again. Looking forward to the next one. I have a 50 minute drive to work and I listen all the way to work and when I get home I will watch it on TV. Can’t wait to try it on the water. I fish shallow but never gram shallow and will start now along w the Dragon Master , Coia has helped me a lot. Great guy w Dragon Master Products here in Texas
Well Done Micka. It seems that bait, threadfins etc. are certainly shallow this time of year, but the big ones don't "chase". It seems any time of year you see shallow bait (threadfins, etc.) you can run up there and catch smaller fast/active/small cats. If the white & yellow bass, small crappie, etc. are just a little deeper-not main channel but deeper flats- making runs up to shallow to feed, the 20+ cats are where the bigger fish are staged up to make their shallow runs. I am always looking on my graph for not small bait but larger stuff. It is fun to see your planer boards rocket in shallow water. Thanks for the bigger bobber stop source and your superior content.
Good morning 🌞 Micka, I just watched Mark Cooper(I think that’s his name) Top Knox Fishing. Him and his buddy Brian were dragging in 8’ and less depth and did pretty good several large channel cats and at least one pretty good blue 👍💪🙌🙏🌈✌️
Good fish if your fishing a tournament to get you on the board! Then you can start culling for bigger fish once you get your limit. Fished a lake tournament dragging in 18 inches of water channels was hitting like topwater bass lol you could see fish tailing on top hitting baits
I tried the same thing. I went to lock B where water is 10-16’ deep. I scanned around for bigger fish and was able to catch pretty much all of them I marked with in 5min of getting baits in the water. No 30+ pounders but action all day.
Great video man. I watch Spencer Bauer on a video catch some all blue cats in real shallow water one night late Summer by Kansas City not too far from my house. Not very many people fish the shallows you're right makes perfect sense from being up there feeding during the day where the bait fish are. Love your videos man 👍🙏🇺🇸
When you fish shallow and your draggin Baits you have to remember the boat coming over the fish will disturb them. I always allow a hundred to 150 ft before I even put my planer board on. Then I do another 50 to 75 ft so that way the baits are as far away from the boat as can be. I have good luck with it.
Hay man try this filet your bait from the tail up to the head leave the filets and take the back bone out if you drifting those filets will make a swimming motion I’ve done this a lot of times it makes a difference if there bitting slow and smaller fish are all that’s biting. Just a idea but it works for me
Some those catfish think that bait is still alive, when they come up to it they well smack at that bait and try too stun it,then they well come back to eat it,just say ,that's my theory, I've caught 7 catfish that way on there side and hook them that way
Yeah, I use bobber stops as well. However mine are the traditional bead and braid nail knot.

Yeah, I find that strip bait/fillets work much better in my waters. They just don't bite the chunks all that much.
