Doing that is kinda pointless. Hangman (the harmless version) is just a fun game either way. I don't find much joy in focusing on strategies and such.

That's really tough. You'd have to win 10 times in a row to get everyone out alive, it'd require some insane luck. Given the sort of "content" this is though, it's not exactly supposed to be fair so I'd say that's appropriate. I hope the dev does expand on this, I can see a more involved version being quite interesting.
I guess repetition will help, even if that timed puzzle is going to be the main problem

@@phaolo6I saw someone else in the comments say that the keyboard can also be used, which might make the timed one easier.
Trying to fight the camera to use the in-game keyboard feels like a whole new difficulty.
Just use Cheat Engine to disable losing. If the game doesn't wanna play fair, then I sure as hell won't.
Some of the words like filicide where the hint was a Russian painting is kinda wild to me, like how is the average person meant to know the meaning of a random Russian painting AND an extremely niche word for killing one’s child lol
So idk who will see this but i think the swaying isnt just to represent anxiety, like our hands are shaky and our breathing heavy, I think similar to our family we have a camera on our head. The weight is causing their head to sway. The players POV isnt the protag, its the "GoPro" set up in their head.

The amount the pov camera moves when you have to click the individual keys like that annoys me so much

It didn't bother me for a while, but it started to make me a little sick at the end.
I find it a clever way to represent the effects of anxiety in a situation like this, since you can misclick the keys easily.

Manly doing only consonants while there were 2 words without vowels just... The dad did NOT have to die.
But seriously, the screen wobbling is INCREDIBLY frustrating. And definitely makes the game unnecessarily difficult for people with any kind of hand issue like tremors. I hope that there's an accessibility setting for that...
Yeah the screen wobbling is awful, I love horror but hate when they spike the difficulty by taking away accessibility, I'm incredibly motion sick and all that wobbling is actually making me nauseated- hence why im commenting not actively watching.
In the discussions on the game page on itch, the developer said that the head bob will be reduced in an update soon. Also, players can just use their keyboards in the current version, but the dev forgot to say so lol
I can't really agree with this. It's good for the atmosphere, realism, etc. but it IS too strong.

Depending on how much you like your family.
If you are a fan or scrabble, hangman, or even Wheel of Fortune, it's not difficult. I liked the concept. The motion as tho you are bobbing on a boat was a little odd - I don't get seasick, but between that and the lack of backspace and the uncommon keyboard, it became much more difficult.
manly rule of thumb always exhaust the vowels in hangman before any consonant unless youre a 100% sure, idk if u couldnt type it as a rule but usually it makes it much more easier

You need to put a lot more thought into your letter guesses.
If you have a two letter word, for example, that severely limits the possible words. Also, every two letter word has at least one vowel (including 'y'), so you should probably be trying to get those.
Also, just in general, you should be pretty focused on the vowels. I think Wheel of Fortune threw up the five most common letters in the alphabet (another important thing to keep in mind), and then let you pick more, but only one vowel. Any restriction they place should be considered for its possible benefits.

@@StonieDude oh, you're the game dev! I appreciate the correction. I get that the whole idea is 'be careful what you say online' but what exactly is it warning against? The words themselves, or how certain people might react to them?
@@dale117 Definitely how people react, the idea that you never really know who you are talking to online was really the main idea of the game, also came from an interview with Mike Tyson explaining how people no longer think of the words they type as there are no consequences.

if you look at the table (near the bottom left of the computer screen and the bottom right of the key bored are two examples) it says "they not like us" indicating the table hates drake
(side note maybe the table has all the answers on it and were all just slow)

It's almost certainly intentional to add difficulty. It takes work to implement things like that.
Key to hangman is to start with vowels. They make up most words.
"AEIOU and sometimes Y" is what I grew up saying because there is a vowel in every word in the English language with some exceptions to Y like in "By."

Kind of surprised no one mentioned the story aspect of the game. It seems that OP may have been making bad comments online and that's how they landed themselves in this situation? There was a time where the computer called you a troll, asked you 'do you know. why you're here?', and after the mom gets shot they say 'words you type can have serious consequences'. Would love to see more!
Manly, when you play Hangman, always go for the vowels first. Every word has at least one and if you do get a word that has only a *y* instead of any vowels, they have a lower chance of showing.
This is like a trap that you would see in a Saw movie.

Cool but I'm not sure if I like the results screen. It doesn't even seem to work properly - At the end for example, you can see, Manly did get one of his family members shot out of the game but results screen said Deaths - 0 when it should have had been 1. Also, rating F for properly saving one family member is pretty annoying and I certainly hope it's not programmed in a way where you absolutely have to save everyone in order for rating to be affected by your gameplay or something like that. This could be done better but the concept itself is pretty fine.
