I got the impression that she created us like the monster at the end since we have the same bug arm things the prisoner grows. That combined with her almost saying "Remember that I love you" and "I have failed my children. The fruits of my works." when she was dying made me think she probably saw herself as a mother to us.
i wonder if the player was once a 'tribute' or transformed in some way? you can't see your insect arms until after consuming enough flesh to see the 'hidden insects'
Somehow it feels... like a genuine.... captor. Manipulative. Caring in a twisted way. Conditioning the victim to sympathize with them through forceful tactics. I don't know. It was interesting.

I think their is a third party that the game does not show, maybe aliens going off the drawing - so the humans who once fought the insects, ally with the insects to make a weapon that can kill the aliens
That was interesting. The world was so desolate and we were working with a so called witch to create creature. Like some bug themed weapons X facility. I wonder if we were playing as some human insect creature made by the witch or whatever bug overlords ruled the world. Either way it looked like humans were at war and i guess there was some pseudo religious thing this is all tied to like as if the insects like chitin were like some deities or something. Im sure the player character was the one to do those hieroglyphic like wall paintings or maybe it was their predecessor. Theres a lot to this world.
I think the witch and the player are some of the aliens, the aliens arrived in damaged ships and got stuck on earth, either they fought with humans and lost which made it post apo, or, I think more interestingly, earth became post apo before they got here (but after the aliens set course here) thus the alien were forced to stay on earth. And to be friendly with human factions, they apply their advanced gene modding tech.
I interpreted it as: humans raise giant insects as livestock, maybe to eat their organs to expand their mind? Giant insects revolt, humanity sets out to put them down. Aliens (all black floaters) invade. Man comes crawling to the bugs for support. It isn’t enough. Aliens fulfill their goal and leave (maybe draining all resources since the planet is desolate i.e. a carcass), leaving behind a token force or maybe some choosing to stay, including our Witch. Survivors devolve into petty factionalism on a desolate planet with no hope for the future, constantly warring for the few scraps that remain. What I can’t figure out is why it seems an insect queen is doing psychic stuff in the last drawing.
The environment, character design (particularly of the soldiers), and sound design are all giving me big-time Chronicles of Riddick: Pitch Black vibes -- with the alienesque planet and the creature sounding a lot like the echolocation monsters from that movie
for some reason i wanna call the tall slender bug creature mary.. cause it calls us its little lamb.. and has like a weird manipulative motherly nature towards us and the mantis

(The humans, the Chitin, the one you work for and call you little lamb, and possibly another faction from outer space, "the common foe"?) (I said 3~4, because you might actually _be_ working for the common foe.) Kinda need more information.
The first is the offering to the Chitin, which grants them the ability to see invisible bugs. The second is more confusing, showing humans hunting bugs while ships approach the planet. But I can’t tell what the figures on the left are supposed to represent - perhaps an alien figure communing with the bugs? The third appears to be the bugs and humans armed against the black figure and Little Lamb, or possibly just speaking with them? The last is easier, showing the final “weapon” that has transformed from a human vessel.
I'm a high school teacher of a state tested subject and were at peak stress rn in our school year. This channel has become the first thing I put on when I get home from school to help me decompress. It makes me emphasize with it because by the things it tells us and the way it cares for the cute bug we made, it shows that it feels a lot of emotion, more than any human or anyone in this world to be honest, idk why people call it evil, we didn't evem hurt anyone we ate the dead and it clearly cared anout the cute abomination (seriously the way it sounded at the end made me almost cry because i was sure we're going to kill it, i wanna give it its dark room and keep it safe, poor baby was so scared

"We speak for the Chitin" - which I assume were ants - yet the Witch Queen said they didn't serve Chitin - just themselves. I think they defeated the Chitin - and the Witch was triumphant using whatever weird mystical powers to transform humans into whatever. You were like a slave, human transformed into an insectoid -being that could see and consume magical bugs. I wondered what 3 things would prove your love for the Witch Queen - you obeyed by eating the flesh, and by not trying to escape. But the Witch could not control your mind - you still dreamed what you wanted and remained out of the Witch's powers then. One interesting thing - the instructions said you could consume a stomach, yet no stomach was ever in any body. Maybe an oversight - or did it have meaning, idk. Fascinating story, presented almost as a vision of a legend.
5:30 NGL my mind immediately jumped to TIE fighters, and then I laughed out loud when the spaceships also look vaguely like Imperial star destroyers. They got invaded by the Empire son :)
I'm glad that wasn't just me. I'm sure it was implied that it was some sort of extraterrestrial encounter, and I doubt that was intended considering the tone of the rest, but that was uncanny.
Maybe that's because the ending was like that? Also the way it sounded at the end made me go tear eyed and "god poor baby probably is so scared i wanna keep it in a dark room nice and safe" because i was sure it will be a boss fight and game will make us kill it, was it just me?
If we dry up bad flesh. Does that it make bad ass jerky? Side note, the idea of running out of food, no crops and cattle leading to eating people is frightening idea to live your life at it's fullest.

Your content is very entertaining. I truly enjoy the formula of your videos; the way you wish to show us all possibilities and endings to the games you play ... Also your voice is and eloquence are pretty soothing and enjoyable.
See I know this is supposed to be unnerving and it kinda is what with all the rot and organ consumption but I like it. You get to serve the Witch, have regular (if only in schedule, not content) meals, and despite them being a bit angry the Witch seems relatively nice and caring. Only downside seems to be the "tribute" you work on being unwilling or displeased with the process. Over all 8/10, would make weird bug hybrids with Witch friend again.
Not necessarily in media choice, but in story, these games are very Cronenberg or Lynch inspired. The body horror aspect but handled in such a blasé way gives Naked Lunch or Eraserhead vibes.
I have been trying to figure out the story, but I am coming up with nothing. The wall drawings are interesting but vague and I can't make head or tail of them. From what I can tell the Witch you are working for opposes the two aliens at the beginning (the Chitin?). I am not sure if the Witch is the same type of alien as the Chitin or if she is a totally different species. Either way the Witch had intended to subvert the "weapon" the soldiers wanted her to create and use it for her herself. But the "weapon" overpowers and kills her, the soldiers, and finally the player.

This was so dang weird. It's definitely a game where I feel like I need to take time to figure out exactly what's going on. All I can say with confidence is that it's an awful place to be a human, and it made for a cool experience.
I really like this dev's style. Do Not Eat Bad Flesh was really cool albeit short, but the aesthetic was super, and this one is even better! A little grindy, but enough creep and vague lore to be a very interesting game and overall world building. I actually really really love the graphics. That filthy dirty industrial organic body horror style is super memorable. Overall 10/10 will eat only good flesh.
I think the pictures basically degail the witch discovering how to get wisdom from insects to see their essence, then making a deal with Chitin(the big insect) after being wounded. They then seem to be part of some kind of compact amd through their efforts make a ceeature like we see at the end of rhe game
I fell asleep watching this last night lol. So I am rewatching it now. It's nice to have the universe expanded on. I hope the dev makes more! Edit: The Creature that we were making, it looked like a praying mantis and those are fierce predators and hunters. I thought at first it wasn't attacking the person we play as because it felt a sort of kinship with us. We didn't know what we were doing and forced to complete tasks. But nah, we got GOT in the end lol. But very intriguing universe. I really do want to see more.
I wonder if in the future people will do body modifications where they have little surgeries to etch/write/tattoo on bone. Only really visible after death but carried with you always

I was like "oh yeah lets watch a manly vid while I eat dinner" this was not the right choice...
See I know this is supposed to be unnerving and it kinda is what with all the rot and organ consumption but I like it. You get to serve the Witch, have regular (if only in schedule, not content) meals, and despite them being a bit angry the Witch seems relatively nice and caring. Only downside seems to be the "tribute" you work on being unwilling or displeased with the process.
Over all 8/10, would make weird bug hybrids with Witch friend again.
Not necessarily in media choice, but in story, these games are very Cronenberg or Lynch inspired. The body horror aspect but handled in such a blasé way gives Naked Lunch or Eraserhead vibes.
I have been trying to figure out the story, but I am coming up with nothing. The wall drawings are interesting but vague and I can't make head or tail of them.
From what I can tell the Witch you are working for opposes the two aliens at the beginning (the Chitin?). I am not sure if the Witch is the same type of alien as the Chitin or if she is a totally different species. Either way the Witch had intended to subvert the "weapon" the soldiers wanted her to create and use it for her herself. But the "weapon" overpowers and kills her, the soldiers, and finally the player.

This was so dang weird. It's definitely a game where I feel like I need to take time to figure out exactly what's going on. All I can say with confidence is that it's an awful place to be a human, and it made for a cool experience.
These horror game ideas are getting creepier by the day
I really like this dev's style. Do Not Eat Bad Flesh was really cool albeit short, but the aesthetic was super, and this one is even better! A little grindy, but enough creep and vague lore to be a very interesting game and overall world building. I actually really really love the graphics. That filthy dirty industrial organic body horror style is super memorable. Overall 10/10 will eat only good flesh.

I think the pictures basically degail the witch discovering how to get wisdom from insects to see their essence, then making a deal with Chitin(the big insect) after being wounded. They then seem to be part of some kind of compact amd through their efforts make a ceeature like we see at the end of rhe game
I fell asleep watching this last night lol. So I am rewatching it now. It's nice to have the universe expanded on. I hope the dev makes more! Edit: The Creature that we were making, it looked like a praying mantis and those are fierce predators and hunters. I thought at first it wasn't attacking the person we play as because it felt a sort of kinship with us. We didn't know what we were doing and forced to complete tasks. But nah, we got GOT in the end lol. But very intriguing universe. I really do want to see more.

if i remember back blame! was more like total synthetic and sterile sets vs the grungy dirty mold infested parts of the giant dysonsphere what was once called earth. i dont remember that much biomechanic horror in there but with the clones...
