I wish to thank you for the beautiful video I never got the chance to see them but there home is so beautiful there both in heaven together rest in peace Siegfried and Roy
I am so happy this was saved, although I don't think that's what Siegfried wanted. I worked their show at the Stardust and while I have my own set of stories, they are still very much missed, RIP. I live in Oregon now and some of the cats are up here in a sanctuary that is not accessible to the public.
This is so cool to see where they lived and what their lives were like. I saw them once while in Vegas for a wedding. An amazing show and the cats were so majestic.
Used to live not far from that.. walked past their house to and from school. You could hear the cats roar all the time. As kids in the 70/80s, Vegas was a playground more for us than our parents. On some Days, the boys would be at the gates and talk to us as we came home from School. Never thought other kids didn’t have those experiences too.
Wow! Seriously! I lived a few blocks from there in the 80s and walked right in front of this home to and from school for years. I always wondered and grew up wondering what it looked like inside. Thank you so much for this!
I have loved Siegfried and Roy since the first time I saw them and I am very glad that you had the chance to see their home before there is too much change.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m a huge S&R fan and saw the show many times. I’m thrilled that this family is preserving it and honoring their legacy. You’re so lucky you got to experience this. May they both rest in peace ❤
@@Stuffandusfunny I just got back from Vegas early this morning from Orange County. I made a point to drive by it on Sunday. I’m so jealous you got to go in.
They actually have a German tour here in Las Vegas that takes you to the property. You don't get to go inside but you can take photos of the outside of the property. www.viator.com/tours/Las-Vegas/Las-Vegas-City-Tour-in-German/d684-57902P1
@@Mellbaart Oh really, I used to see their tour van parked at their house whenever they were doing tours. They're suppose to be having another open house soon for the neighborhood but I haven't heard anything for sure yet.
I've lived down the street from this compound since S & R bought the first property on Vegas Dr. and always wondered what the interior looked like. One of their employees brought their Aston Martin (with the backseat removed to transport one of the cats) in for repairs once at a mechanic's shop (Reynolds Automotive, at the time) I worked at years ago, right up the street, and that's the closet I ever got to Siegfried and Roy. Pretty cool place. Thanks for posting. P.S. Where are the cats now?
Last I heard they were going to demolish that property to build new houses, here is a video talking about it: www.fox5vegas.com/video/2022/08/18/city-las-vegas-could-approve-demolition-siegfried-roys-home-near-rancho-rainbow/
Siegfried and Roy were quirky but nice guys…Roy …was tall and very handsome and I used to see him in his gold ford explore on industrial street all the time at my job. The animals were moved to another location in northwest las Egan over on rainbow orbuffalow…with really tall tree and massive enclosures and you can’t see into it but I know exactly where they were moved and it used to be considered out of town and my house was out there and it was the furthest past of the northwest and there wasn’t anything else out there but the locals knew the animals were kept there for their shows and I think the elephants were retired out there because it was a massive property where they had room to move around better. It was so sad to see Roy after his stroke. I’ll never believe montecore attacked him. I think Roy had a stroke during the show and Monte ore was doing what any animal would do for the “person” they loved and try to move him to safety. You have to remember those tigers were babies when S n R got them and they hand raised them like they were their children. They showered them with love and only the best money could buy for their care. You can see online, I’m sure, photos of the white tigers when they were little babies. They truly loved their animals. I’ll just never believe montecore attacked Roy. I think his instinct knowing something was wrong with Roy kicked in and I honestly believe he was trying to save him.my friend was their executive assistant for several years. I never got to see the home compound but thank you for doing it. I moved away from Vegas 6 yrs ago and I used to drive by their place all the time. They used to hand out money to the neighbor kids for Halloween instead of candy. I am sad they are gone now but they really did put Vegas on the map more than anyone else, even Elvis or Wayne newton….who both had huge shows for limited times when they performed there…of course Wayne live over on the southeast side of town and he had his horses there and at the time he lived out there that portion of town was considered to be out in the country…more or less but S n R they were long time performers at the mirage day in and day out and they were very much a fixture on the Vegas strip till Roy’s stroke. It was a very sad time to see Roy go through so much to try to recover but he never did. They wanted to put montecore down but S n R fought that with everything they had in them. I don’t know what ever happened to all the animals. Maybe they are still out at that property off of Craig road and rainbow where they were housed. Maybe they left all their money to care for the animals they loved so much. It wouldn’t surprise me….but thank you so very much for this. I hope the new owners and the residents have a long and happy relationship and the property stays as it was when SnR had it for a long time. It’s a beautiful piece of property and rich with their history and Vegas history. It can never be replaced.
Not only were they able to save the property but they were also able to recover all the furniture and decor pieces they had when they were living there.
This was their first house and back in the day there wasn't a lot around here, later in their career they did indeed buy a property that was Isolated it was called Little Bavaria but I believe they are knocking it down to build more apartments. ua-cam.com/video/1SZ8pUTHLbE/v-deo.htmlsi=XC25o91pV_89zWEr
Thanks for the great video. It's awesome to be able to see inside this place. Disappointed in the animal enclosures though. Very boring, empty looking, hard cement block enclosures. The animals who once were housed there must have been very uncomfortable and bored in such stark, unnatural surroundings. Kinda expected better from Siegfried and Roy. Cool house and grounds though.
The animals were moved long ago to one of the hotels on the strip... when the animals actually lived there... they had the best of everything... but, no need to have the goodies there with no animals. They made the enclosures out of concrete in order to keep them clean. Zeigfried and Roy gave everything to those animals.
@@tcolley Ridiculous. Animals like tigers, lions, and elephants need natural environments in which to thrive. Without them, they are merely existing and are shadows of their true selves. And yes, animals CAN get bored and uncomfortable just like we can. If you think otherwise, you clearly don't know much about animals.
@@Kiwi91663 My understanding is that they always kept some at their home, until Roy got injured. At any rate. A concrete enclosure is NO place for an animal. I don't care how easy or convenient it is to clean.
Apparently they were both very spiritual, not sure what their religious upbringing was but I'm sure that has something to do with it. As far as the shuttle goes, their plan was to have people park their cars down the street at the local park and have a shuttle bus pick them up from the park to bring them to the property.

Smart of the owners to invite the neighbors. If they start doing events and traffic sucks, they may be less likely to complain.
Yeah after checking it out I think the neighbors might be a little more understanding
