Can you please make a vlog style video with a timelapse from the hotel room in a destination , the flight time lapse , till the hotel room in the other destination.(like a day in the life of an airline pilot type of video).
I download these videos on my UA-cam premium and watch them when Im taking flights in real life lol Other passengers that are most likely fearful flyers look at me like I'm crazy when in reality videos like these help ease those anxious flyers by showing you pilots that are in complete control of the aircraft. It's actually how I got over my fear of flying when I was 13!
This is such a good idea! I am ... almost 30 years old and flying still somehow scares me, though I have flown a lot. I also know it is very safe -- there are hundreds of flights every single day! The only thing I don't like is the turbulence.
Same, my old man is a pilot and would always go through the takeoff checklists and such with me. During actual takeoff he would be doing his best to estimate when V1 and V2 are happening. Always teased us with V2 saying "if an engine goes now we're still going up"
Cool un TO! Ça change des landings :) superbe comme d'hab un régal! Ça serait cool que tu filmes un peu plus la préparation de vol ou ta vie de pilote en dehors du cockpit Merci ✈️😍
Bonjour! Welcome to SF today. Foggy and rainy day. Enjoy your stay in the Bay Area. Looking forward to watching your SFO landing/take-off videos soon :)
Guillaume! Looking forward to this one, I saw the landing vid you did. What camera do you use? I need to get one of these for my videos! They’re amazing! 👌✈️👨✈️
It'd be brilliant if there was a commentary track over one of the videos or a break down of one of these take offs to explain what some of the chat means over the radio.
Long time dream of mine to become a 777 pilot. Just curious how long from beginning of flight school was it until you were working on the flight deck of long haul 777?
Hey Guillaume, I have a question: where is the eye reference of Boeing 777? On the Airbus is in the centre post, but I can't find for T7 and I've looked on every literature.
Guillaume. Question: Seen a # of videos from you taking off and landing on a 777. What is your take of on the new 777x? I fail to see the niche market for 777x if existing variants of 777 can achieve the transatlantic and trans-pacific flights. Thanks in advance.
Sorcerer Stone It is more efficent! More passengers, depending on -8 or -9 which has more passengers but it travels less distance because of itn weight. No MCAS either! (hah) and inproved flight deck next generation instruments and Toys!. I have built everything but 757 in 12 3/4 yrs, retired in 2012...Half my time on 777: -200, LR, ER -300, ER and Freighters. My favorite plane to work on and have flown just the -200's under United in begining..."under" LN 100! And on the 2nd or third one I built a yr later! That was a TRIP! I WORKED AS FUEL PUMBER AND then ALSO GAINED ELECTRICAL Training, ALL OVER. INSIDE OUT, BUT NOT TAIL. FEAR OF HEIGHTS ALTHO WENT UP SEVERAL TIMES WITH ASST TO HELP WORK ON ATTENNA MODS. STILL JUMPY! Wanted to get over that, but still have it. No fear of flying. Just being in Open. (long story as a kid.) First change location was to 737 for 2 1/2 yrs till 911 layoff, then back to 777 3yrs later. Left for 787-8, as electrician 3yrs later, then QA work for 6months on 787, transferred out at 2yrs, to 747-8 Freighter/then Flightline Refurb -8 and built their 1st Luff Commercial -8, then out to 767 frighters and commercial, after two years each, and then retired before tanker arrived. In begining: The "trip" was working INSIDE 777 WING SIDE OF BODY: 6FT AT APEX of Wing! CRAMPED, LOTS OF TUBES AND WIRING. Enter from four 'RIBS" out and crawls inside. Engine Pylon area in Wing cool area too, a very unique area. Claustrophobia was minor problem first week on the job, once 'on the floor". Got over it very quickly, "mind over it, don't matter!" Safety Program was very good as can be expected. I never had problems after that, except when people "changed my exit positions" by moving the wing during join to body. Nip that in the bud by insisting on a CAM for co-worker and immmediate super. That did the trick FINALLY, after 3 incidents occurred with notifications each time. Communications a big part of safety. To ignore giving or receiving info is dangerous. Think of ALL FELLOW WORKERS. We are ALL human. I tried to think safety everyday not just for myself... Current Boeing problem is SHARED responsibilty of Airline, Company, FAA, and even the public! I see it as retiree! Boeing will return!...as soon as they let go those that had their heads up their... you get my drift. Pilots: More Hours less "video game" flying! I was a minor cog, but glad that Top Mgmnt in Commercial took some ideas I had and used them to better company, personnel, and of course ends up improving products. Not documented but who cares, as long as family and friends safe while flying. I Did my part!
First time that I notice the Aurobrake selector rotating automatically to the OFF position from RTO (Rejected Takeoff)! You can see it below the Landing gear lever, you can also clearly hear the "click" sound and see the rotation of the selector a few seconds after 12:30, when the main gear Leaves the ground. Am I right, Guillaume? ;-)
Allan Michael The larger planes/engines produce a lot of thrust and could overpower and/or make the tug hard to control, especially in wet conditions. Different companies have different rules regarding engine starts (for example, most companies don’t allow engine starts while pushing back during snow/icy conditions)
I don't understand why do modern airplanes and ATCs are using such low quality microphones and / or radio transmission. If I was a pilot or co-pilot, I would be having problems understanding everything the ATCs say. Plus everyone thinks, that the microphone must be touching your mouth in order to work. Amazing that Boston is able to operate 5 intersecting runways simultaneously given calm winds.
Technically speaking isn't it 4? Since 15L/33R can't handle commercial aircraft?
And EZE only one , poverty
Was anyone else hoping they would break that layer of clouds and it would be a clear black sky

There certainly aren't many airports in the world with flights to 3+ continents that are as close to the central business district.
11:12 do those red lights on the runway mean to not take off? so cool i just noticed
John Smith yes!
They're called Runway Status Lights
Really good idea, interesting to see them in action!
John Smith also if they ever flash red and white it means there’s been an attack and to stop take off.
