2023 Subaru BRZ Review | The Spry Daily Driver's Car
Вставка

- One of the questions we had in this review was "can you daily drive a two door sports car?" We've tested a bunch in the past but the BR-Z not only has great handling on its side, but also few practical elements that you can actually get behind the wheel of. So in this episode of Behind the Wheel, Caco gets a little tail happy with this two-door. Watch as we turn a few corners, stuff Caco in the back, and tell you whether the BR-Z is the perfect everyday and every-man (or woman) sports car.

I got mine recently, a pearl white AT and intend it to be my Sunday car. But the wife right away fall in love to how sweet it drives, does she took over it as her daily driver to and from her work (as a public school teacher😂😂). I honestly think she does enjoys more the the attention she gets driving it rather than the driver’s fun factor😅.
get the manual. it's better.
Get the manual so she stops
She's a keeper ;) and you are a lucky man
@@impreza0109 not for daily driving in the Philippines
I like how the digital cluster shows the logo spin around and two lines move in and out like the cars boxer engine punching each other.
I had that Toyota cruise control lever in my 98 Tacoma and in my 2019 lol. It works so well they've never changed it.
You should make a dedicated segment on sports car reviews on how "dailyable" they are. I have the 2020 BRZ model and with the automatic transmission it makes an excellent daily driver!
Ohhh great intro shots \o/ Gave me the opponent driver feels in a racing game/anime lol
I just bought one myself recently and I'm loving everything about it!!! (I bought the Tomica die-cast one)
Same 😂
Finally a car whith small rearseats, where Caco appears large like a Basketball player 😂
The guy is actually looks like the average Filipino height
Finally!!! a car worthy of Caco's dimensions :D
lol , how tall is he ?!
I have this 2023 Subaru BRZ already 😊
My dream car
That "smiley" is my legit first impression! Lol.
First!, always fun seeing Caco.
A comparo episode for the yaris cross V and Hybrid, would be nice dont you think sir caco
i have one. review is on point. well, ride is a bit harsh but it is expected. overall, i love it!
Hi Caco, can you do a comparison between Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ automatic variants? Thanks
BRZ + Caco + Nordschleife! Make it happen AutoDeal! 😄
Comparo between Toyota GR86, Subaru BRZ, Nissan Z and Mazda MX5 please. 😊
do you have a review for gr86?
saw this upclose in a showroom of a local bank in the mall. and man, I swooned over it. it was a white brz. looks clean and virgin haha
Dream car baby
Caco looks good on this car.
Its A/T shifts faster than a person changing gears. Though, yeah, M/T is indeed more fun. Awesome car for the price of a Fortuner.
sHiFtS fAsTeR 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@impreza0109in the track has proven to be faster
Only is fast on straight line 0-60
10:19 it was at that moment, that Caco had a moment to say something that he doesn't say very often in these reviews. And that's about him having that much headroom.
Review the honda fl5 next.
Sana mag review si sir ng ibng lexus like rc rx ux
Finally! Although it's not a GR86, It's still the same
Game face si Caco!
Hi Caco which is better GR86 or the BRZ? Thanks
how about wulling mini ev 5doors?
Sheshhh, ganda ng brz
Comparo with GR86?
WRX next pls 😊
Is it DCT A/T transmission?
What happened to the GR86??
initial D vibe intensified
Finally, my dream car reviewed by my most trusted Philippines car reviewer.
He might freeze to death over here.
Our family members had a funny conversation a few months ago where the ones in Germany were complaining about how hot it was around 20-25°C while the ones in the Philippines felt cold at the same temperature. 🤣
😊🎉❤ wrx I love brz too
Wait he said the car has heated seats "although he does not know why you would use that" however when he said it has a mode button for SNOW he had nothing to say 😂
daan sa tagaytay ba yan?
Get an A/T for your daily, but the 86/BRZ are best driven in Manual.
Yea but in others case it's personal preference
@@suhailali9978 when you say personal preference, you mean you don’t know how to drive a manual.
Congressman Caco
If you can still wait Mazda RX9 is coming soon.
Has the RTV or room temperature vulcanizing sealant issue been addressed in the 2023 models? There are still reports of sealant clogging up the oil pick up.
Starvation on hard rights regardless
The engine is same with toyota gr86
Anyone know where these mountain roads are?
tagaytay Talisay road probably
BRZ, yung masaya lang na nabuhay.
Ligaya drive?
Finally!
Finally!!!
how's the RTV buildup in the oil pickup tube issue? has this been fixed by subaru/toyota?
nope.
Meh, literally no one has a problem. On track there may be an oil starvation problem in high-speed right-hand corners over 6000 RPM so if that’s you spring for a dry sump engine oiling system or buy a better car, otherwise I wouldn’t worry about it.
@@christophe_george "literally no one"
900BRZ, Toyota's own cup cars, and some other people who track and daily their cars have had the issue.
For a car being advertised as "track-ready" this is laughably sad. Stop simping for companies and let them address this.
tapos ang asking MSRP nila is 2.5million? 500k more than the first gen? Olol
@@impreza0109 Well that’s great, 900BRZ, some cup cars and 'others' have had an issue, although it seems to be limited to people who track their cars hard. When you get up to 27 people with a blown engine that will be one tenth of one percent of 2022+ sales. I’m all in favor of figuring it out, 900BRZ seems to be doing exactly that by working on a baffled oil pan.
The point is, these are inexpensive, fun cars. Track ready? At a minimum, upgraded brake pads and fluid, probably an oil cooler and tires if we’re honest. Not major investments if that’s your thing. No matter what car you look at there’s always something. BMW’s have been plagued with timing chain breakage, fuel injector and Vanos unit failures for years. How about that oil starvation issue on third gen Mazda Miata engines? By all means, let the car companies address their problems but it’s always something.
HM po?
broom broom broooom!
how does it priced compared to the gr-86?
BRZ 86
Pricier Cheaper
Clear ETA Longer wait
Smiley Angry
Rides better Rides bumpier
Overrated Overrated
For me For you
both priced unfairly by TMPI and Tan Chong (distributor of Subaru in PH)
400-500k more expensive than the first gen while the rest of the world stayed true to the actual MSRP
@@impreza0109 It is ridiculous! 2.5M for a base 23 WRX MT while that was the price of the last gen STI.
The first version 86 started at 1.5M when it came out.
@@seansantos2738 yep. I asked both a sales rep from Toyota and Subaru respectively and it looked like they weren't ready for that question. At least that's how it seemed to me.
Toyota chalked it up to "internal confidential research" while Subaru basically said "it's our deal with Toyota"
And no PH car journo is pointing this out. Probably because of sponsorship deals and whatnot.
Mustang
That's the part of lightning McQueen and that's actually lightning McQueen
Mx5 pa din
Isn’t its closest rival the Toyota 86 and not the Mazda MX5? They’re essentially twins.
86 has the Subaru engine. MX5 is the closest by means of there being no other competitor in the coupe segment a tier lower than Z and Supra.
Until you make a right hand turn
Once I'm going to own or,.YOU AS WELL! The costumer
Who's going to purchase,.And own one of these sleeping beasts
Your always greeted,.With a smile
Just like sm supermalls
This is also bringing the saying
HAPPY TO SERVE
Unlike his twin the brother,.The TOYOTA86 which has a basic front facia besides of their clean body looks,,..And ducktail spoilers
It is the front and back looks,.That already sets them apart
And! Yeah,.With a limited cargo space as well as a limited second row
It's REALLY BETTER.For your groceries as well as your shopping bags 😉
Since it's really a one plus one👍
AND NOT! A two plus two 👎
It looks like a 911
kinda mid
Nah nah nah it straight up copied gr86 from almost EVERYTHING ON THE CAR
Too bad it's Automatic and overpriced.
Maybe overpriced in the PI (or wherever you are located) but a screaming deal in the US where the average price for a new car is $48,000. As for the Auto - yeah, i got the manual. Maybe auto if you drive in heavy stop and go traffic.
@@jukeboxzero1 autos, in any car, are a waste
@@impreza0109 don't beat around the bush - tell me how you really feel!
@@impreza0109 Lucky you, clearly you don't drive to work huh
Even an enthusiast's car is A/T. Please stop putting DCTs on cheap things **cough** china **cough** . I don't have time for complicated bs
shame the review car isn't a manual
