Duvall is hands down one of the greatest actors of all time. Brilliant on everything he rolls up to.
Not to mention his baptism as an actor in "To kill a mockingbird", and two of his most memorable roles, prior to "The Godfather", that is, "True Grit", opposite John Wayne, and "The Chase", first time Duvall coincided with Marlon Brando. I mean, Robert Duvall is Hollywood royalty.

My three all-time favorite movies with Robert Duvall, “The Godfather” 1972, as Tom Hagen. “MASH” 1979 as Major Frank Burns and finally his first film “To Kill a Mockingbird” 1962 when he portrayed Boo Radley. The man is a legend! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

But I’ve seen him on Graham before where he said very little. He was very lively here. Maybe the other guests as well as Graham just opened him up. Great stories.
Mr. Duvall seems to be the same in real life as he is on stage. Very genuine.
buddy guided him fishing the Merimachie river in NB. he said Duvall is EXACTLY as he appears; a real normal guy without a hint of ego or elitism.

Irony. I just watched "Falling Down" and thought that the Duvall part is what kept that movie balanced.

Just saw an old 60's episode of Combat! with Duvall as a German officer. A fine, versatile actor over the decades.
More people should see Duvall's early work in TV sci fi. As well as his excellent appearance in _The Outer Limits,_ he also has a superb role as an alien in an early episode of _Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea._ This was in the first and best season, long before that series gave up being clever and tense and became a byword for cheap bottle shows featuring stupid rubber monsters.
The Judge is my favourite movie. It reminds me of my relationship with my dad.

It's funny; I just watched Joe Kidd again yesterday. And it featured a great actor (Duvall) a good actor (Eastwood) and a man who often repeated lines in front of a movie camera (John Saxon).
