I'm genuinely confused as for why people see the V9S adjustments as a nerf. Most people don't reach 7 shots/sec and deem it humanly impossible so they don't shoot it that fast. And they added 3 damage to it, so basically it will be a huge buff for those who can't click that fast. Only a nerf for those who use the scroll wheel to shoot, as Embark has specified in the patch notes.

Correction: the old dps is 265.16 The old ttk against medium is 0.97; new ttk vs med is 1.16 Old ttk vs heavy is 1.39; new ttk vs heavy is 1.45 So an overall nerf, but barely noticeable measured at a 0.19s difference for medium and 0.06s for heavy

The self damage with the CL-40 is too harsh. The self damage gives the player like 3/4 chunk of their health making it too punishing. I'm fine with reducing the damage to 100, but the self damage is just too much, Especially when i played today where people are taking advantage to the SD penalty. They need to reduce the self damage to either 0.90x or 1.00x.
self damage is good because thats a good way you could encounter the weapon, before that it was a free kill for the nade launcher if u got too far, in mid range or even too close

Only until October 17th. And the effect triggers only when your team plugs in and you only get +100hp once per plug in. If you get shot and lose hp, you don't recover it, unless of course you plug in again.

The damage got buffed so the dps is probably still around the same, except now you can’t just spam and get rewarded. Just adds a little skill gap. If you’re a good player there’s nothing to worry about. Also, idk about low pick rate

Being able to fire a weapon as fast as you can humanly click a mouse was the draw of this weapon in both ways. And are you saying that Mac 11 and Sword were picked less? And that's even if a Light is picked in the first place in this HM dominant meta we are currently in. If anything this change diminishes the skill gap, all it does is open the doors of this gun to a kid with a weak trigger finger that should be forced to use Mac/MP5 if they cant handle it.

I think they nerfed the V9S because with a sight, it was like a sniper. I was doing extremely well with it. But the scout rifle on the other hand with a sight is good but can't meet or even match the V9S and I think they were trying to bring the two guns in line with each other.

ALL MELEE need a serious buff besides sledge/sword this season due to how many good weapons there are now, especially the new 3 weapons for each class. Dual blade needs a movement speed buff or something plus 10-20dmg buff per swing. Riot shield need to be able to block dual blades/sword and like 50% of the sledge. Knife is still good but right now its so hard to up close and get out of the fights so maybe slight dmg buff?

The Selfdamage "Buff?" on the CL40 is total overkill, you almost Oneshot yourself if a little bit of Rubble falls in front of you while shooting, all the other Changes are fine just dont turn CL40 Mains into Suicidebombers please
So you want all the benefits and none of the drawbacks? The CL40 was literally a no skill weapon where even a newbie can equip it and literally just spam it and get kills. Increasing self damage atleast adds a little challenge during close fights.
that’s how most people played the CL-40 pure spay no pain and could wipe an entire team with barely any consequence to self damage. you can’t play with a hand held mini rocket launcher and not expect balancing needed when you practically took no damage before

The Pike was better than the revolver in virtually every way that's not balance for the medium kit. Either they buff everything or they nerf the Pike. So they nerfed the Pike.

Way to overreact, this changes makes sense, the pike is op as hell, the v9s is really not a big nerf as without cheats it's really hard to fire at maximum fire rate consistently.

The damage got buffed so the dps is probably still around the same, except now you can’t just spam and get rewarded. Just adds a little skill gap. If you’re a good player there’s nothing to worry about. Also, idk about low pick rate
@Zizou19989 The appeal and skill gap of the weapon was maximizing the fire rate, both the skill gap and fun factor. Being able to fire a weapon as fast as you can humanly click a mouse was the draw of this weapon in both ways. And are you saying that Mac 11 and Sword were picked less? And that's even if a Light is picked in the first place in this HM dominant meta we are currently in. If anything this change diminishes the skill gap, all it does is open the doors of this gun to a kid with a weak trigger finger that should be forced to use Mac/MP5 if they cant handle it.

I think they nerfed the V9S because with a sight, it was like a sniper. I was doing extremely well with it. But the scout rifle on the other hand with a sight is good but can't meet or even match the V9S and I think they were trying to bring the two guns in line with each other.
These devs are really crap at balancing tho! CL40 is not balanced now but ruined! Again!!!

ALL MELEE need a serious buff besides sledge/sword this season due to how many good weapons there are now, especially the new 3 weapons for each class.
Dual blade needs a movement speed buff or something plus 10-20dmg buff per swing.
Riot shield need to be able to block dual blades/sword and like 50% of the sledge.
Knife is still good but right now its so hard to up close and get out of the fights so maybe slight dmg buff?

The Selfdamage "Buff?" on the CL40 is total overkill, you almost Oneshot yourself if a little bit of Rubble falls in front of you while shooting, all the other Changes are fine just dont turn CL40 Mains into Suicidebombers please
So you want all the benefits and none of the drawbacks? The CL40 was literally a no skill weapon where even a newbie can equip it and literally just spam it and get kills. Increasing self damage atleast adds a little challenge during close fights.
that’s how most people played the CL-40 pure spay no pain and could wipe an entire team with barely any consequence to self damage. you can’t play with a hand held mini rocket launcher and not expect balancing needed when you practically took no damage before
@@crabnix cl40 is not a no skill weapon lmao you're just biased from the people abusing the meta the last few weeks. It just needed to be reverted back to how it was S2. Literally no one complained about it when it was 110. Now it does no damage unless its a direct shot, and if they are close enough with a direct hit you just die. The weapon was already niche but now its dead. No reason to use it over other weapons

They need to nerf the sword, at least lower its thrust damage because now it does more than an RPG. Also they should nerf its max damage if they miss the initial thrust. Doesn't make sense a guy can miss me completely but just swing his mouse to the side after initial thrust and still do 140 damage. Actually 0 skill in that

The Pike was better than the revolver in virtually every way that's not balance for the medium kit. Either they buff everything or they nerf the Pike. So they nerfed the Pike.
@@jaym4697 yeah but with both the revolver and the pike you have to aim if u cant track your oponent then u shoot all bullets and you don't hit anything, i think thats the balance right there...also that was my point, new players who can't aim just want to nerf weapons instead of learning how to use them...
@devastationofmankind3495 You can shoot and miss with any weapon but other weapons don't kill as fast and as easily as the pike. Though I think the bigger issue with it is the fact that the weapon is so broken in close range. They should've nerfed the fire rate not the damage 🤷♀️
@@evilcookie6399 again your missing the point, the finals basicly has 2 types of weapons...those that require aim (sniper, revolver etc) and those who are more run and gun friendly (mac10, flametrhower) and i dont think punishing good players for tracking and geting shots on target is a good way to balance, think about it a week from now the players are gonna still be getting killed by whatever weapon got moved up to the meta, and then ppl are gonna say "nerf this gun too please".

I have never seen devs that are so bad at game balance. The mesh nerf still doesn’t make sense, the V9S nerf is baffling, and it may be too early to tell but it looks like the CL40 is gutted and Pike is weak. Can’t wait for 1887, FCAR, AK meta again!

Way to overreact, this changes makes sense, the pike is op as hell, the v9s is really not a big nerf as without cheats it's really hard to fire at maximum fire rate consistently.

The pike nerf changed nothing except the kill threshold for heavies went from 6 shots to 7. People are still going to use it
