It's actually wild that in some situations Edge, being designed for more advanced players - has higher input-lag than base DS. Also, something feels very off with aiming in this game. I'm playing without AA and the aim feels super bad, no matter the options. I see the input lag is 50-65, which is okay in average for MP games on PS via DualSense, I guess? For instance, in CoD MWII (and others as well) - my aim is super-reactive & responsible, without AA I do very accurate flicks and tracking. Some games like Ghostrunner, many BFs (not 2042, it got awful stick-input even with all updates), etc. feels awesome without AA. WW3 on PC, being a PC-only game has flawless aiming input. Could it be that game uses awful default input profile? BTW, video is fire, as always. Thank you so much. I play with Edge, almost all settings are as recommended besides VRR. Surprisingly, it needs to be off. Oh man, this game needs 120FPS so much, tho.
50ms for a 60FPS game isn't bad, you won't notice it, the main issue is with the response curve that is only available for look and not zoom (ADS)? that isn't good, the profile really feels off in this game IMO, even though apex legends felt as bad to me with default but there were more options to fix it, not here though, I think people get used to it, but I love the style of games like COD, OW2 and Rainbow six, they have good input readings and low input lag. Yeah, being 60FPS is a downside for such a game imo, a 120FPS option is needed even if it is 1080p in quality.
Actually, I'm surprised that the input delay in The Finals is lower with VRR enabled on Dualsense. In previous videos, you taught us to turn off VRR for lower input delay
depends on the game and the controller, I'm still not sure why that would happen but yes, unless the game has a Vsync option like Rainbow six to output more FPS, otherwise VRR may lower input lag in some cases.
It has similar settings to Apex Lengend, I hope in the future you exploit the advanced settings of Apex, they help a lot with aiming, with Dualsense Edge it improves much more, excellent video, thank you

Same here. I played the Beta for less than an hour, and didn’t care to really touch it because the settings were overwhelming and the game itself just felt extremely clunky, slow and unresponsive. Compared to what I’m used to and I’ve been wanting to find a good base setting for the Edge. All the extra information is very helpful.
What settings are you using for your right and left stick now in the edge settings? Also, I bought the Thumbsticks from ExtremeRate and like them a lot. I got the Clear Black ones right now along with the silver back paddles. I will get the Clear ones as well at a later time. I love the way these feel too. What brand do you have?
Hi, I was using Default for the right stick but recently I felt the game was still not as smooth at the start of the curve so I made the sensitivity a bit higher and used precise -5. I'm also using extremerate thumbs, btw the clear white ones become a bit yellowish after a while keep that in mind I like the darker ones more or the colorful ones.
Hi Danial I hope you can help me. I understand someting not in the finals.. Aiming inner deadzone is on my seetings at 0 and the aim assist kicks in when the target comes near the crosshair. But now my problem that i dont understand.. if i put it higher than 0 it off, the aim assist doesnt exist anymore??? Do i need to leave it at zero or to do it at 2 or 3 ? Target tracking is on everything is activ. Just if inner aiming deadzone is not on 0 it doesnt work the aim assist. I play on dualsense edge.. what should i do? What is the right seeting to do? Hi, right now I don't play with Sniper or very long-range, I use Quick +5, and for the right stick, I'm playing with Standard and Default on Edge. sens 6-6 and ADS 0.60. If you play with Dynamic, try precise -4 on the right stick.

Most older games run in 60 or 30FPS and typically both BT and Cable will give similar input lag, I think for story games it's easier to get used to delay compared to online games.

Hi, There are many games to cover and a lot of time is needed to test, I have it written in my list but as it's an older game it's not the priority, I would cover it among some other older games like Rainbow Six and Apex all in one video.
The only thing that pisses me off is, there’s no adaptive triggers. I love adaptive triggers, even in multiplayer games because I like the retention of the controller before I shoot gives me time to rest my hand before I push the button
Yeah that's a good point I didn't think of, once I saw the shooting starts at input 1 I noticed this game doesn't have any sort of Adaptive trigger support, and its settings are similar to Apex Legends mostly, which isn't a great kind for MP games IMO.
Yeah should have had that for the immersion. Just like vibration no one trying to get good at it would use it but still.. It was good for it to be in the game. Maybe they ll add it later

I am very curious whether it makes much difference for me to play at native 4k or to buy a monitor that has a native resolution of 1440p to improve the input lag, since playing at the native resolution of a monitor is often the is best. Do you already have a video about whether there is extra input lag if you downscale a native 4k monitor in the PS5 settings to 1440p or 1080p? If not, could you please look into this for me?

For the Downscaled Picture delay test a different tool is needed which I don't have yet, you can find that in Rtings. com for some monitors. I only test the console delay side, not the monitor part.

That’s called recoil…
That's what I showed on the video and how to fix in chapter 2, it's recoil and every weapon has a recoil pattern.
