Can u use any oil of ur choice an what if I don't have Shea butter
This is great but is there a way of making it without cooking
Can I use castor oil instead thank you
❤❤❤
I'm glad ì came across your channel, I loved the tutorial. Is there a way to skip the shea butter and essential oil? Also what's the storing time for this please as in use by date?
If you skip the shea butter it won’t be creamy but u can skip the essential oil and it lasted a month
Thank you
You're welcome ❤
Where did get mango essential oil
Thank you so much i love this video, but let me ask if I can use any other oils if the coconut is not available. Thanks
Yes u can
Do you dry the mango 🥭 seeds or add them fresh?
Tnk u
New subscriber! I love your channel. How long does it last once made please? Thank you for sharing ❤️
Thank you so much! It took me about 2 months to use mine up.
@@kittyescoe I appreciate your response, and enjoy your clear, straight forward presentations.
The Recipe
Ingredients:
• 4-5 Mango seeds grated
• 2 Cups of Coconut Oil
• 1 1/2 tablespoons of grapeseed oil
• 1/2 tablespoon of vitamin E oil
• 3 Tablespoons of Shea butter
• 10-15 Drops of mango essential oil (optional)
Steps:
(Low heat) Cook mango seeds in oil til no moisture is left (no bubbles left)
Let oil cool down then strain it. Add paper towel in strainer to keep tiny particles out.
Add grapeseed oil and vitamin E oil to mango seed oil.
Then add in Shea butter (melted). And stir everything together
Put in refrigerator to cool and harden. Then whip with hand mixer.
And Done!
Which coconut oil…fractionated or regular kind that looks like lard?
@@debbieescobar6267 fractionated would probably better
I love this video, but there is no such thing as mango essential oil, only mango natural fragrance oil. ❤
@britj7747 yes there is. It can be found on Amazon
@@kittyescoe ok hun!! Just because it says it’s an essential oil does mean it’s actually an essential oil. Most companies say essential oil because essential oils are amazing however they are actually natural oils or fragrance oils. That are disguised as essential oils. If it’s a real essential oil then you can request the GC-MS (Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry) analysis.
Essential + Labs makes a great mango natural fragrance oil!
“Essential oils are natural products with no synthetic ingredients. Fragrance oils are not natural products and do contain synthetic ingredients. Only essential oils can be used for aromatherapeutic purposes.”
Just do your research, no bashing just educating! And if I’m wrong then I would love to talk more about this with you! I’m a chemist and make natural products so I love to talk about this topic! Be blessed! ❤️
Thanks for sharing. You don't hv to use the fruit at all, only the seed?
Yes that's all you need
Nice tutorial, please can you drop the recipe? Or what is the name of oil you used in producing the mango butter.
Thanks
I mentioned all the ingredients including the measurements in the video
Before I start making this wonderful mango butter can you please tell me roughly how long it took to cook the grated mango seeds and oil as I really couldn't tell if it was 30 or 60 plus minutes??? Also is the shea butter raw organic or doesn't it matter???
Lastly as I cant use coconut oil because it definitely doesn't agree with my hair ... is there anything else I can substitute it with???
Thanks!!!
It was about 30 minutes
Hello am cafellon from Jamaica.
So I have dried my mango seeds but it end up being fully dried can it be use to make the butter.
Yes you can
Does this whipped cream change into liquid if u keep it in room? I really want it to stay like that🤗
Only if it's hot in your house
Hello...thank you for the tutorial...can i skip the shea butter and grape seed oil, because its not available in my country
U can use any butter like mango cocoa butter and yes you can skip the grapeseed oil
Hi I let my mango seeds "dry" in the air and they turned black. Can I still use them. Is that mold? Can I clean that off. Should I dry them in the dehydrator before I grind them? thanks
I dont know why they turned black could be mold if you have a lot of moisture in the air so try the dehydrator
Best tutoriel Can you send me the name of twio oil you add before add shea buter😘
It was 2 cups of coconut oil
Thanks for this video, how do you dry the mango seed
You can just set it on the counter or table and it will dry out in a few days
Self life
I used all of mine up on around 30 days so at least 30 days
Do I have to use heat can I do a cold pressed method
you can technically collect a lot of mango seeds and make this in bulk, like just blend the seed by itself and let it sit in the fridge for a while. then the oil / butter should separate. it takes a lot of effort so i would just buy it unless you’re using like a ton of mangoes for some reason.
Yes
shea butter vitaming E and what is the other oil you used for this.
Coconut oil
Please how many cups of mango butter did you put or how many gram? 💛
If it’s not in the video she’s not gonna tell you cause she’s selling it herself so e doesn’t want people stealing her exact recipe
I don’t sell any products all the info you need is on the video
Even if you do sell your products or recipes good for you! I don’t know why people are so keen to be negative and unkind.
Thank you for sharing your recipe I will definitely be trying it out soon. I want to wait until the price of mangoes come down buy them in bulk and freeze the seeds and use the pilp for eating :)
Is there a substitute for shea butter?
Coconut butter
What's the shelf life for ts body butter mam.
I kept my for about 30 days before I used it all
Can I substitute the coconut oil with something else? Coconut oil clogs my skin pores.
I’ve never tried it but I guess you can but let me know how it turns out so I can tell other people like you who can’t do we coconut oil
Babassu oil is a beautiful substitution for coconut oil
Did you use the hard coconut butter then melt it?
Yes
@kittyescoe thank you! Can I use purador vitamin e oil in my body butter and scrub does it stop the oil from getting ransid
@@toritime943 yes u can use that brand. I used mine up in a month and during that month it didn’t turn rancid so anything after a month I really don’t know
@kittyescoe thank you was worried for a split second cause thats the brand I ordered and they people say the darker vitamin e is better.. wasn't sure if that brand was adding into products nevertheless thank you!
It seems more like a coconut and shea butter mix with a hint of mango.
It works. Thats all that matters
At least it's natural, hey can't blame her. Is her version without buying it from the store with all the extra chemicals. Most of them have alcohol as the second main ingredient. So I'll take her recipe any day than use those harm chemical.
Keep în The fridge for many weeks?
I didnt refrigerate mine and it lasted over 30 days
Good day ma, i did my own butter and after some time it turns back to oil
If your house is hot it will melt so put in the refrigerator and whip it back up and just keep it in the refrigerator
Can i use the local mango seed
Yea
Can I use it after wash please tell me please
Yes
@@kittyescoe oww tanx for fast reply
Hi! Great video! Is it edible? Possible to make cakes or other sweets?
I’m not sure. I’m sorry
Maybe use regular butter added mango flavor instead essential oil and dried mango in the food processor and who it like butter cream.
Can u pls tell the self life?
I had mine for over a month
@@kittyescoe thank you!!
Any substitute for Shea butter and mango oil
You can use coco butter
@@kittyescoe unfortunately in india both are not available
Do you mean palmers cocoa butter or organic cocoa butter?
@@matildajones5035 raw coco butter
@@matildajones5035 organic
How long can it stay without getting rancid?
I had mine for over a month unrefridgerated
@@kittyescoe thanks and where are you from? What climate do you live in?🙂
Thought you didn't want to heat the oil from the mango seed because it can degrade it.
Very low heat
Technically this is not mango seed butter
why do you say that?
ma'am, does it melt?
If it’s very hot in your house but it didn’t melt for me
This is pointless I want pure mango oil. Not mixed with coconut oil
Who cares what u think. 🤣
Ladies don't fret, I'm thinking I'll try adding dried mango skin in the food processor maybe in addition to the seeds.
