Hello. Love your energy & videos. I just want to point out something I've noticed on your website calculator. It does not add up properly. the formulation has to add up to 100%, including "ALL" ingredients no matter how small. When doing the math for this one. the percentages added up to 102% and that's not including fragrance. I do know that it's important for all ingredients to have a percentage, in order to have a stable, reliable and consistent end product, especially if a preservative is used. Is it possible for you to fix that on your website please?
Hi, in cosmetic formulation, the preservative and antioxidant amounts are typically calculated as a percentage of the total weight of all other ingredients in the formula. This is why it is not included as part of the total (100%) but rather listed as an additional phase (cool down). Hope that helps 🙂
hey, can you do a video on the breakdown on how to make a formula for a cleanser, face creams, toner serums and how we can create a recipe from it please
You R So Sweet to share your Creations, but i need to ask You if u don't mind, I love you.the way you speak, where are you from.. YOUR so smooth & The way you say "BUTTER" is so awesome. I just had to ask? I'm not being rude I'm really curious..
You’ve helped me so much Elise & gave me so much insight and made me do my research. I have my own beauty company & you’ve helped me establish a solid foundation
You’ve got yourself a new subscriber! I’ve just been on a binge watch. I really enjoy your content and how considerate you are to share your recipes and knowledge with us all. I think that the second recipe is more what I’ve been trying to achieve. Your content is so informational and helpful for young entrepreneurs like myself. I’m glad that I stumbled across your channel. It helped me better understand the purpose of products that I have considered. Sometimes seeing a visual is more helpful than reading words off of a site. 🤗🤗🤗
I found your receipts masterpieces due your ability to explain. I’m still learning about this new world of skin care…. Thank you sooooo much beautiful queen.
I absolutely love your channel! I’ve made the magnesium foot butter and I’m looking forward to making more. Please please please drop a recipe for feminine wash 😁
I started off with making your homemade body cream as my first ever lotion. Your site and the recipes posted there are so amazingly done, I had zero trouble locating and finding out what I needed. I just made my third batch of body cream yesterday. Since its getting cooler here, I might try and make this emulsified body butter recipe for the colder months. I have tried making whipped body butters but the weather in India is really warm for most of the year so it almost never holds its shape (I do not like the feel of cornstarch so I don't use it). The creams, however, work splendidly. I love the feel of your channel - so calm and relaxed and full of information and great visuals. I have purchased surfactants and xanthan gum (they are on their way to me lmao), I am looking forward to making body washes, face cleansers and shaving creams from you next. Thank you for all of your hard work!! I thoroughly enjoy your channel
A friend of mine had been wanting some body butter for a while, so I tried your second recipe in this video. The ratios are perfect and this is the best whipped body butter recipe I’ve ever tried. I used my chamomile infused almond oil and jojoba oil for this particular batch. The percentage of cornstarch or arrowroot powder is spot on. It leaves the skin feeling silky smooth, not greasy. Now I want to make a batch for myself.
New follower / subscriber - business owner here. Hello sunshine, I just found your tutorial and I am so glad that I did. I am a novice learning and soaking up as much as I can in order to embark on this new journey of self care products. I am simply commenting to say thank you. I appreciate your content so far and I appreciate you for sharing. The information you provide is very helpful. I am waiting for my products to arrive so I can get started on this exciting path. Thanks for caring enough to share, you are an angel (and you're a very beautiful young lady). ❤😊
U are amazing sister i just found ur account and u just put so much motivation in my heart but iam so scared cause every time i watch a UA-cam video i be like “ayyee that look easy i know i can do it” get all the products and i waste all my money it always make me so sad cause i really wanna maKE MONEY just to help my community
I have been binge watching your videos all week and today I finally made the 2nd body butter on this video 😊 can’t wait to try it tomorrow after it sets! Thank you for the great content. I’ll be making the hair mask tomorrow :)
Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge! God bless you. This is my first time making an emulsified butter and watching you and following your instructions made this a breeze for me and my daughters (6, 9, 10) to make.
You’re the best, just love you and the way you educate your ordiance. Thank you young lady. I’m retired from working and thinking of starting my own skin care business thanks to your content you provide to this channel, you are God sent.
Again thank you so much, could you make a specific video on how long to melt or heat everything for for melting and mixing the butters and oils for skincare, more specific temperatures and times please 🙏🥹✨
Elise, Sorry I was late to the party! Been busy creating as I see you have too! All of these are fabulous recipes! I love body butters for their awesome moisturizing power! I'd most likely make the 2nd and third recipe, because that's how I roll, but anyone getting started should try all three to see where their preference is! Thank you for sharing. I love your web page, lots of great info over there!
Loved this, your voice is like silk. I also loved how you gave us different recipes for different levels. This was perfect just waiting on my essential oil to come so I can make these for my skin and hair.
Hi Elise, your formulations are stunning, I love to watch & make body butters, moisturizers and cleansers to teach my students as I am the pharmacists with amazing result I always appreciate your efforts to teach making beauty products. I also want to request you to make precleanse from Dermalogica company.
I can't thank you enough for keeping things very frankly which many people would never want totally totally avoid. You always teach with grace. I wish I could gather all the superlatives in this language. Warm hugs 🤗and respect from India 🇮🇳.
Elise, once again a beautiful informative video, you are not only knowledgeably but charming. I watch all your videos even if I do not make all the products, but I have started making body butter for my own use so am most grateful for this information. Keep safe sweet girl and thank you
Thank you for the breakdown of every ingredient, how they benefit, and making it easily obtainable to everyone. I am looking to getting back into my hobby of making baskets again. The lotion video you did brought me to the rest of you videos and I so appreciate all of them.
Wow!!! most thorough step by step instructional video. I’m even more impressed on how you manage to squeeze all that info in such a short video. Great video, thank you so much, very informative and detailed. I’ll be checking out your web soon here.
So happy to have found your channel! Your instructions are simple and straightforward - exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! May I please make a request for a future video? Besides adding preservatives and scent, is it possible to add skin serums, like argireline or matrixyl peptides, or niacinamide? Or just adding humectants like glycerin. I'm a little new to this, so I'm not sure if that's possible, but perhaps you can answer that question in a future video? I'm heading to your website now to check out your recipes. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us all 🤎
Your videos are so satisfying to watch!! This one is definitely inspiring me to make my own butter but I wonder if any of these will stay fluffy in Mumbai’s hot and humid weather.
Thanks a lot for this wonderful class, subscribed to your channel last year but had a little challenge, thank God am back again. Bless your wonderful soul
I really enjoy your content and how considerate you are to share your recipes and knowledge with us all. Your content is so informational and helpful. Seeing a visual is more helpful for me. Thank You again
I am having the hardest time getting my butters to this consistency. I know for sure I'll need to upgrade my mixer. However, what do you think about whipping as you're taking it off the burner? I'm in the middle of doing different tests. Would love your opinion. I also love your channel, and all that you do. ❤️❤️❤️ Test #1...no go! Ugh!
Welcome back Elise , I have missed you, been checking when your next video will be and there you are 😀, another great video , I always make body butter but the emulsified one I haven’t tried yet , Will definitely try , you are such an inspiration. I have started taking courses in organic skincare formulating. 🙏❤️
Thank you for this video and explaining the different types of body butters. If I want to make a natural body butter with the same benefits as the emulsified butter, which ingredients should I use? Im a little skeptical adding alcohol and other ingredients that aren't natural. Tips ?
I love your recipes. I have a question about the emulsified body butter, if you do not have aloe vera concentrate what else can be used? Should you up the percentage of water, butter or oil?
Made the 1st one a few months back for mostly my hands and feet and I still have half left after daily application. It just melts beautifully into my skin. Thanks for this simple yet efficient recipe ❤
@@ballameghana2406 Anhydrous products, due to their lack of water, are not suitable environments for bacteria to thrive. If your body butter will be used in the shower (or stored in a very humid bathroom), where water can get into the container, then a preservative will be needed. To be more direct, no, you do not need to refrigerate (anhydrous) body butters. Edit: I should add that your question seems to show a misunderstanding with product safety. Have you looked into using colloidal copper or silver instead of water? Wondering if that will help with preservation and both are really beneficial for skin.
Love it! Just one quick question, If I want it to feel thinner, would I just add a bit more water and how much or would I also need to add less shea butter?
Love this video! Thank you so much! Will attempt to make the second one this weekend:) Im wondering if I can substitute Kokum butter with mango butter..

I have a question, what can I substitute for aloe vera extract?
Love this video! Thank you so much! Will attempt to make the second one this weekend:) Im wondering if I can substitute Kokum butter with mango butter..
I have been waiting a long time amd here you come with this amazing recipe thank you queen.
Hello
I have two questions
1 Do I still need cetyl alcohol even though my emulsifying wax has cetearyl alcohol?
2 Can I replace xanthan gum gum with Gargum powder?
Thank you for the amazing video
So informative thank you
Hi, Thank you for your video. It was very easy to follow and I managed to make the emollient butter in my first go. I was just wondering what would I need to change in the ingredients to make it a little more moisturising. It seems to dry out on my daughters skin fairly quickly. Should I increase the water and coconut oil amount? There was a stage about half way through the cooling phase where it seemed a lot more softer and moisturising but as it dried it seemed to get a litter harder if that makes sense
What is aloevera concentrate ....is it water soluble liquid alovera extract
Or else can we make it at home....by just grinding the alovera
Hey sis
Can you make something for stretch marks and hips 🥺😅?
