Is Zuff going to watch S1 on his own so he can join you for the reactions?
oh good! Confirmation you're going to watch S2!
You guys should react to the S2 trailer
notice that the bookshelves are all hanging from the ceiling, and Louis can't levitate yet so Armand basically controls what he can or can't read. it's just a teaser for their relationship.
Exactly. And the quiet theme of the entire season is the reliability of Louis' memory.
Who was it who revealed Claudia's diaries to Daniel, not Louis, it's was Armand.
Since none of the modern day is part of the book, it makes the known story so much more compelling because of the levels it adds in motivations and ulterior motives.
Louis can get to those books if he wants. Armand prefers to fly to get books rather than get a ladder if you know what I mean😂
I saw someone once say Louis and Armand standing side-by-side at the end and Louis saying he was the love of his life reminded them of a girl bringing home a dude to meet her parents trying to convince them and herself what she was saying was true.
The body language says it all. He looks submissive standing next to him!
@@tabularasaconfirmed Yes it was like Louis was in the sunken place his eyes were screaming help. Also Armand was physically higher then Louis probably still levitating further illustrating the point.
I love Daniel. He just calls Louis out on his bs EVERY. TIME.
He's the psychiatrist we all need.
True. Louis needs Daniel to help him get to the truth. Armand has the ability to alter people's memories. I think Louis suspected that his memories were messed with and invited Daniel over, under the pretext of clarifying the truth. I think Louis knows on some level that he's trapped in a gilded prison and needs Daniel's help to escape it. Daniel is enough of a pit bull to help him get to the truth.
@@R3HealingModalitiesI think there may be some truth to what you say. If you watch some of the recent trailers for season two, you can tell Louise is trying to work through his memories and having trouble remembering certain things, and the suspicion is kind of pointed at Armand for manipulating his memory.
Bailey will be missed, but from the interviews it’s clear the new Claudia actress understands her character very well and based off of the clips she’s gonna deliver
Her accent is really, really bad though.
@@moonlily1ughh
@@moonlily1I love Bailey but her's was not all that great either.
Oh, what happened to Bailey?
@@ameliacraiig4193 She's probably too busy doing the avatar movies
Lestat didn't kill his maker, Magnus just up and lit himself on fire not long after his creation, so what Lestat said was all true.
The story Lestat told about his maker and how he got turned is sadly true. In the book it is even more volatile and violent.
One of my favorite types of media is unreliable storytelling and this is a prime example. One person with clear trauma and depressive episodes is telling a story and we the viewers are supposed to take it as fact. But the best part is Daniel is there to serve as the party who doubts these stories so it’s so important to have him be there!
Also thanks for doing this, I’m so happy it wrapped you up and had you wondering what will happen in season 2! It’s gonna be a RIDE 😂
Louis is what we called an Unreliable Narrator. More will be revealed in Season 2 obviously. You guys are lucky you don't have to wait too long. Definitely check out the trailers that they released.
Meanwhile the rest of us have been waiting nearly 2 years!
I miss old TV when shows came back at the same time every year.
Damn writer's strike.
@@yourlittledogtoo Yeah the writers and actors strike messed things up. Also I read if the strikes had never happened we might have been able to keep Bailey Bass as Claudia. But with the huge delay we lost her. Oh well stuff happens. At least Season 2 is super close now.
@@YouMe-ru6withat’s not true, Bailey was recast prior to the strikes beginning. Her schedule was completely blocked because of the Avatar shoots.
Louis with his hostage face at the end always cracks me up. Louis is not good at choosing men 😂 you guys should watch the season 2 trailer
The 'Extended Look at Season 2' trailer - though only 3 min, is a Feature!
The first "Claudia," Bailey Bass, left the show as she is under contract with director James Cameron for the "Avatar" films. The new "Claudia," will be played by British actress Delainey Hayles. I saw the Season 2 trailers, and she delivers.
cant wait for season 2 in May
I got so attached to Claudia, I hate they changed person, who plays her on the show♥️🦋
@@tamaria1360I don't think they had a choice she went on to film Avatar plus i heard the new actress had also auditioned for the first season and came number two to Bailey so obviously you know she's good.
I hope they do another Reaction, but to the 'EXTENDED LOOK AT SEASON 2' teaser. It's only 3 minutes long but it's intense. And as for 'World Building' - Anne Rice created a WHOLE MYTHOLOGY! I'm gonna throw a few words out to tease the Seasons ahead; and those who know, will know:
Theatre. Dollmaker. Rockstar. Italy. Painter. Egypt. Statues. Secret Society. Bikers. Witches. Twins. Demon. Queen.
The beauty of this adaptation vs books is that Anne didnt know that she would eventually write what she did. This series adds lore early on that would not have been possible with the books since it did not exist yet.
Louis said Armand was the love of his life with his whole chest 😂😂😂. Louis can be so full of shit sometimes I feel so badly for Claudia she’s caught in between two just broken people . I feel like Lestat is just a full blown narcissist whilst Louis suffers from victim mentality and delusion.
Dude looked like he was in a hostage video in that last shot.
Lestat isn't a narcissist at all. He is canonically the one who is ready to take the blame. He was never envy. And actually he said in the books that he loves himself, but don't like himself either.
Also he is just talented and often good at what he is doing. Usually other people / vampires envy HIM.
Remember - in the books Armand has the ability to mess with people's minds & memories. I think of this Louis as very much a hostage, trapped in a gilded prison. Louis needs Daniel to challenge him, to help him uncover the actual truth because Armand was behind what happened to Claudia.
Rashid = Armand
Armand = Louis new lover
Louis new lover = More abuse
Oh no! I already found _that_ episode difficult to watch in season one.
I’m so glad you guys did this show and got the reactions out so quick the acting was so good throughout the armand reveal and the writing In general can’t wait for s2 and your reactions
The newspaper cuts in the end mention the "Théâtre des Vampires", which will be very important in the next season.
Claudia is diabolical. I like how Daniel is challenging Louis’ story telling. The actress was busy so we get a recast for season 2.
If the show lasts and keeps following the novel series, you'll get a lot more world building and a lot of your questions will be answered. I know AMC is trying to push the Anne Rice Universe -- they made a different show based on another one of her series -- and this show seemed to gain a lot of steam lately from word-of-mouth. I really hope it sticks around. I'd love to see the first six books at a minimum in a television format.
Captions ruined that whisper moment in the ball😭
Rashid/Armand has the cloud gift as well as the ability to mess with people's memories. I think Louis caught on that his memories were off and summoned Daniel. I think Louis is using Daniel to help him remember the truth. Armand was behind what happened to Claudia, so that he can have Louis to himself. The older vampires covet Louis because he was able to hold onto his humanity. Armand is so much worse than Lestat.
Thanks for answering my internal question - why do these two despots covet Louis so much? Apart from him being beautiful, it now makes sense to me that these inhumane, sadistic vampires _would_ be intrigued & drawn to him. Poor man. I'm gonna have to brace myself for what's coming in S2, I hear.😢
I'm really excited to see Louis show off his powers more in season two 😭😭😭😭
I think it's a good idea for you guys to check out season 2 teasers and if possible react to them.Btw you are lucky some of Us die hard IWTV have been waiting for season 2 since 2022.
Please please please, react to the extended trailer to season 2! It's going to make you even more excited for it!
Next season starts in May! So excited
So Armand is very powerful specifically with the Mind gift which is basically telepathy. In the books resistance to sunlight is reserved for Vampires over 1 thousand years old so this is a little bit of a departure from vampires Armand's age can due without a power boost from and Ancient. Lestat actually name dropped the first vampires in this episode "Those who must be Kept" which is a reference to the Egyptian Queen and King.
Season 2 is going to be a wild ride because it takes place in Paris mostly where Louis met Armand who has an intense history with Lestat as well and keep in mind that Daniel also has history with Louis but specifically Armand.
YES!!! LET'S GOOOOO!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Edit after reaction: That was SO good! I loved how hyped you were about Claudia completely outplaying Lestat. I adore Bailey's delivery of the line: "Lestat, you must think me an idiot". So satisfying! There are fantastic teasers for season 2(second season out next month!). The Rolin Jones/London edit trailer is FANTASTIC! Like a mini movie in itself.
Great reaction. But remember the first season was only 1/2 of the first book. Armand play a bigger role in the second part of the book. Once Louis and Claudia go to Europe. But humans and Vampires can definitely be "Unreliable Narrators". Especially Louis, being the most "humanlike of the Vampires". Lestat's own words. Thanks for the great reactions to this show. Season 2 is coming soon. Hope you react to it also.
It's not so much that Louis is an unreliable narrator, but his perspective is the product of his two lifetimes of pain and abuse as a mortal and as Lestat's companion. Got to keep that in mind.
You should watch the extended look for season 2, and season 2 trailer!
You should react to the season 2 extended look trailer is wild!!!
Yes! Such a good trailer!
@@yasminemixon9340 definitely an expansion of the world
They hinted at the 'Unreliable Narrator ' trope throughout the show but it's always fun to watch people realize that Louis has been sanatizing the truth.
Season 1 was amazing…anxiously waiting and ready for season 2!!! 🙌🏻 LET’S GO!!!
Been great to hear your thoughts on S1, and I've really enjoyed seeing you become invested in this toxic trio of vamps! You're absolutely right about Louis being an unreliable narrator, and S2 will expand on and enrich us with more insight into their history even more! Here's hoping we get to see you post a reaction to the extended (Rolin Jones) trailer for S2 - because it definitely whets the appetite for what's to come! Great job, guys!
Happy you guys reacted to this show! What a wild ride!
Hope you guys watch season 2 when it premieres.
Sadly this will be the last of Claudia's actress, Bailey, she had scheduling conflicts and was recasted
Yeah, it sucks :( Bailey was amazing.
From the trailers alone the woman they chose to recast looks absolutely amazing though. But agreed, Bailey will be missed!
delainey looks phenomenal as claudia tho
Claudia is a genius!
Finally finished it! Such a good reaction. Loved watching this with you guys and cant wait for season 2
If you aren’t aware of the interview with the vampire books or movie, the ending would be kind of lost on you or seem disappointing, but the fact that rashid was armand is a very very cool reveal
Season 2 is right around the corner 🙌🏾❤️
Things will get crazier next season with armand revelation, he's a big part of this whole mess lol, we will have a lot more vampires and a lot of glitched memory being revisited to uncover the truth. Not only from louis but from daniel too, even the recollection about the "real Claudia" will be challenged!
memory is a monster!
Season 1 was just the 1st half of the book. Season 2 will be the 2nd half, so you HAVE to watch. Please, please, please tho, stay clear of spoilers so that you will be surprised. That is 1/2 the fun.
I've been waiting for this series since a year before its' premiere. And I've watched just about every Reaction. And can honestly say this was my second favorite. But out of like over 10. I hope they do Season 2 as it airs!
poor daniel did not consent to be part of louis and armand's weird sexual vampire/human servant roleplay
WOO WOO been waiting for this to drop this afternoon. HERE WE GOOOOOOOO!!!!
Really enjoyed watching this series with you guys, thank you!
I've loved watching your reactions! You should totally react to the S2 trailers/teasers - they're SO good.
This was a fun journey, thanks guys! Can’t wait to watch the new season with you two!! ✌🏼
spoiler alert (?) season 2 potentially
it's just sick how louis got out of one abusive relationship only to almost immediately find himself in another one 😭
Why even write this?
@@NiKiMa023 why not? it’s a comment under a video
Thanks, Rob! Thanks, Bryce! 🧛♀ Alexis Ostrander directed this finale. She also directed two episodes of MAYFAIR WITCHES (2023 through current) which you should really watch. It occurs within the same world as the Vampire Chronicles... with, eventually, some crossover characters.
Mayfair Witches was trash. They really need to reboot that one.
This has been a fun watch, yinz 😊
Hey guys. Season 2 will premiere on May 12 and consist of 8 episodes. It will tell the second half of the novel.
Awesome reaction of my favorite episode of Interview With The Vampire!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
In this universe there is an immortality potion (the vampires are unaware of it). This may be a tongue-in-cheek reference to it for the fans.
I'm happy you liked it so much. Waiting of the second season coming in may
guys, you should react to the extended season 2 trailer 👀
Great reaction!!!
I would love to see you two react to the 1994 movie w/ Bratt Pitt and Tom Cruise as Louis and Lestat. Though it may spoil some things for S2 of this show, it is absolutely worth a watch (maybe for after S2 comes out.) Loved this reaction coming out as the same time as you are watching TVD, and I also wanted to throw out that What We Do in the Shadows is another FANTASTIC vampire-centric TV show that is sooo hilarious. I just know it would make a great reaction and would also love to see that on the channel at some point.
Keep up the great work guys!
yoooo great season!!
If you wanna get a good look and taste for Season 2 I recommend watching the extended look trailer(I can't include links UA-cam automatically deletes my comment if I try) but just search for the extended look trailer it will pop up. Season 2 premieres on May 12th not much long to go!!! welcome to the obsession and being hooked like the rest of us.
Oh and fyi we do have a new actress for Claudia in Season 2. The original actress Bailey Bass had conflicts/commitments with the Avatar movies, and couldn't return to this show. But our replacement is Delainey Hayles she's a wonderful actress, and will do just fine as Claudia.
So Lestat is out of Louis' life but is Armand any better? 🤔
Usually when someone is a victim of abuse and they get out of that relationship, they're repeatedly drawn to other abusers. And abusers tend to have a knack for sniffing out people they can take advantage of.
Lestat is never out 😁 He is Louis's great love like Jacob says a lot. He is our Loustat biggest shipper.
Awesome reactions to the series! 🦇 May 12 is the premiere of S2!! 🦇 It's gonna be wicked good!! 🦇
24:08 Season two is gonna be WILD. Armand...
Season 2 will be amazing. You will get to know more about Armand when Louis and Claudia "escape" to Paris. Lestat plays a big role in Season 2.
Season 2 is gonna be crazy
I can’t believe it’s already arrived in the last episode, this reaction went by so fast 😢
Armand from the books is such an interesting character.
I am debating whether I want to watch the movie or wait until I either finish the first book or the second season. I've already gotten spoilers via the comments on these videos. 🙄
In the novels, 'Armand' was made when he was 16 years old, was Russian and had auburn hair. But both the original movie and this series make interesting modifications.
Technically, Not really Russian. He's from a state (Kievan Rus) that predates Russia.
@@yasminemixon9340 Thank you for your specificity.
I don't care how the books describe them, all I want is for the vamps to be otherworldly hot and hauntingly beautiful and so far every adaptation has gotten that part right lmao
@@V_4_Versace I don't mind the changes at all. I also think it's interesting to know the origin of the character (to appreciate the changes). For instance, Assad Zaman's casting not only revises the region 'Armand' is from, but he was also not made at 16. These details suggest a wildly different backstory. But then, again, it might not be so different. Time tells all!
@@auntvesuvi3872 im gna be real the loumand thing in the books was a loooooot more...odd when you remember armand looks 16 💀
Season 2 is going to be fireeeeeee!!!!!!! Pls react to season 2, base on the novel and the movie for that part, it will be great and you will love it.
Rob and Bryce, Armand was a character in the 1994 film of the same name.
He was played by Antonio Banderas.
you should watch a time called you!!! its a masterpiece
He did not kill his maker, his maker killed himself. You don’t gain gifts by killing your maker, you gain them the older you get.
Please watch the Extended Look for Season two 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 it's a great trailer!!!!
Louis reminds me of women i know who pick the same type of toxic men over and over again🤦🏿♀️
I didn't read the books but i did see the movie and this was a helluva introduction to Armand. I can't wait for season 2. Are you guys going to watch the movie? You have to right?
Y'all should read the books. They're so different, but still a great examination of abusive relationships (though not as much physically as the show). They get WILD after this. Trust, all will be revealed... at least I hope so.
I really hope S2 will lean more into Louis beeing an unreliable narator and revisit Claudia's last day as a human. Because the "Louis knight in shining armour" was something else for sure
drinking from the dead would not actually kill the vampire but it would make them temporarily sick. And also stun the vampire and it would feel death all over again according to what I searched about ann rices vampires .
Season 2 should go into the story of Armand and how he met Louis.
Loved your reactions to the series! Hope you guys react to season 2 extended sneak peak trailer! It's so good! Bailey won't come back for season 2 and was recast. Delainey Hayles would be playing Claudia. And from the trailers she is amazing already i love her♥️.
I wanted to ask if y'all have or plan to watch one of my FAV SHOWS Buffy The Vampire Slayer. That's my age range of people and I love watching it. One of my top 5 shows of all time.
Louis's favorite pasttime is reading but ALL the books are kept on the ceiling and ONLY Rashid/Armand can fly, so he probably controls what Louis reads. Also I wonder if Rashid/Armand has power over Louis' mind because of the way Louis said "please stop" . Armand is probably the one who removed pages from Claudia's diary. Which is so sad because Louis has fallen into another toxic potentially abusive relationship. I hope we get to see Lestat in the present day next season. I'd like to hear his side of the story (although he lies a lot too) so I guess Louis and Lestat are both unreliable narrators. 😅
Rashid gave us a few clues that he wasn't who he said he was! The one that stood out most to me was when referred to Dubai as a "child" hinting that he predates it! I personally believe that "Armond" is manipulating Louis and the situation in order to have Louis to himself!!!
Y’all need to watch the movie.
Man, I just recently finished season 1 of this show, and It was amazing. The only thing is I heard the actress who plays Claudia can't come back next season and is being replaced, and I just hope this new actress can fill the shoes of the previous to satisfactory.
Yes the original actress Bailey Bass got cast in the James Cameron Avatar movies and had conflicts/commitments, and unfortunately couldn't return to this show. But our replacement is Delainey Hayles who is a great actress, and will do just fine as Claudia.
"pls kill him"
"no way lestat is dead 😮"
24:22 This is a very important distinction. Louis account of this story is not entirely reliable
Season 2 may 12
Yes, Claudia was 14 when she was turned. It doesn't make sense when she says she'll have no hair ever down under though cuz you definitely have hair before 14.
Delayed puberty was normal back in the day, especially if you grew up poor. A lot of girls didn't start their periods until they were 16.
Sadly, Bailey Bass won't be returning to the series as Claudia, Rob and Bryce.
The role has been recast with Delainey Hayles.
This is only half of the book and the Daniel/Louis/Rashid scenes aren't in the book.
I love watching the younger generation watching this series and enjoying it. At the time the film version was released they really softened and dialled back “the gay” to keep from upsetting viewers.
so Armand, like Lestat is way older than Louis obviously a more skilled vampire given that he can fly and is resistant to the sun and if you remember the library scene Louis mentions he really enjoys reading yet all the books are suspended in the air meaning they're not accesible to Louis snd how Armand describes their relationship as "taking care of him, making sure he doesn't harm himself" like obviously Louis is once again in a relationship with an extreme power play where he is once again the subservient one
These vampires are difficult to kill😊😅
the captions ruined the reveal of antoinette 😭😭😭
Can y'all react to the movie?
The movie will spoil the second season though
I hated that they made Armand immune to the sun. That was not in the books at all. The very old ones can resist the sun longer, but they still burn, only they don't die. And I'm talking about the REALLY old ones, six thousand years old. Armand is only half a millenia. I did not enjoy this change, but I still like the show overall and will watch season 2.
YOU GUYS HAVE TO WATCH THE MOVIE TOO!!!
