In the 90's movie it seems like Louis leaves Armand the same night that the theater burns but in the book they are companions for a LONG time (longer than Lestat and Louis)

I'm sad that Bailey won't be back for season two, she's perfect as Claudia. The scenes where they're walking and the camera spins around them are done on a treadmill like in Twilight.

A not-so-fun little detail that points to Louis jumping right into ANOTHER abusive relationship is that throughout the season we learned Louis loves reading. But guess where all the bookshelves are in his current day mansion? Up near the ceiling. Louis has said a couple of times that he cannot fly.... But in the very last scene they show Armand flying to the book shelves... That kind of indicates that Armand has control over when Louis can read books or not. To be fair, there could be other book shelves within the house but the only ones that we are actually shown our one's way up near the ceiling.
Also book readers have told me that Armand is a worse abuser than Lestat was. But from what readers have told me it was more emotional abuse...so we have that to look forward to. Poor Louis has SUCH shit taste in men.
this is a good point. we were also wondering about the cut out pages as well. we have a feeling armand is behind that as well.
Someone after seeing the seventh episode was like, "Yay! Louis has Armand! He'll take care of him!" And the rest of us who read the books were like, "Ohhhhhh, NOOOOOOOOOOO."
Lestat is a constant compulsive liar but I think in a rare instance he was telling the truth about not having anything to do with Paul's death because when Lestat lies he comes off very arrogant and up his own ass when he withholding information but in this moment he sounded very secere when he said no he nothing to do with his death also he looked hurt and confused that Louis would accuse him of having something to do with Paul's death
he did seem really sad when louis asked that. 🤔

I've thought about it a lot (A LOT!) and I think Lestat was telling the truth BUT was also responsible for Paul's death. He went into Paul's mind at the dinner table and revealed some of his nature. Finding out that devils truly do exist and have such power would mess with anyone's mind, but Paul was a religious fanatic and also a very fragile soul. I've heard Lestat's insensitivity at Paul's funeral procession put forward as proof Lestat killed him, but I think he is just a selfish ass sometimes (A lot of the time. Okay, MOST of the time) and he was completely obsessed with being near Louis and making him his companion to the exclusion of any human consideration. Did Lestat tell Paul to unalive himself? I don't think so. Was Lestat aware that Paul was mentally vulnerable when he spoke to him using the mind gift? Yeah. Did he care about the damage it might do? Hmmm...not at all.

Paul was already very fragile mentally so Lestat going into his mind did not help and Paul even though he didn't know Lestat was a vampire he knew wasn't human either so it drove him over the age , also yeah even though Lestat didn't intend to kill Paul he's still responsible even if he didn't know using his mind power would cause Paul to unalive himself

In Ep. 2, seeing that present-day Louis had a Marius painting (Vampire Armand's maker, who Louis never met), that he & all his servants wore only black, & Rashid called Louis a "god", I wondered why tv Louis was being presented as so much like the books' Vampire Armand. The finale makes it clear with the high bookshelf thingy: We're all in Armand's game, with Louis the eternal pawn.
I'm fairly sure that is Armand's penthouse that Louis is simply staying in and/or Armand is keeping him there on suicide watch.
oh Louis will he ever be free or will he be stuck in toxic relationships for eternity?
This show is fantastic for many reasons but one that is fantastic is that the creators took the inconsistencies and retcons of the books and made them into an analysis of memory, how no-one can ever be telling the "truth", because it's ever changing, depending on perspectives. I always loved Daniel in the books but he was never my main, but this show accomplished just that, I love how much of an "audience surrogate" he is, as a journalist he's taking his job seriously and asking valid questions about how edited this story is, Louis fully changed a lot of things from the first interview, which already sets a type of distrust of his story, even without malicious intent, it leaves us wondering what's real and what isn't. The creators have stated that they will never make Louis a character who is not believed as a victim, his abused happened, but we don't know A LOT of things, he conveniently hides his thoughts and actions and in his own story made Lestat and Claudia the protagonists. I'm talking already a lot but what I liked THE MOST about the finale was that it led clear for the audience that 1. Louis is an unreliable narrator to the nth degree 2. there's some shit going on because something happened the night/s of the interview, he already knew Armand and he forgot about this. There's always more and I'm here for it

Someone once joked that Louis is that friend who when he says he's "met the love of his life" everyone at the table groans, lol. So true.
Louis spared Lestat, which I think is amazing and a testament to love, even when it's totally wrong and problematic. I can also understand why Claudia would feel angry and betrayed by it. But, seriously, Louis almost killed himself after parting *lovingly* and *temporarily* with Claudia, so the idea that he could survive killing his lover is just not believable. So, ultimately, Louis's sparing Lestat was also his way of choosing to live himself. And I guess we'll see how this works out for Claudia...

So true killing Lestat (no matter how cruel he is) would probably destroy Louis he’s just built that way. It’s serving Bella Swan. 😂

I see some people ship Loumand. I really feel sorry for them 😁 Louis loves Lestat AND Armand loves Lestat (but Lestat never wanted him as a lover, maybe one day...). Armand and Lestat's relationship is so fun to read. Also Armand loves Daniel, I guess we'll see their story.
My favourite couple is Loustat. I hope we'll see them in their full glory. As Jacob said: "They are home for each other".
SPOILERS Armand ended up with Daniel after at the end of the chronicles (after breaking up) after Daniel stayed with Marius, and I'm pretty sure Louis and Lestat end up together so everything just works out
His theatrical entrance on the train had me tickled. And there is no way yall saw Rashid in that flashback and thought he was still human 😂

@@sebastyann123 flashback..dream..it’s doesn’t matter. If you suspect you have seen someone exactly how you saw them decades ago and the man is close to another person that you know is a vampire, then common sense tells you he’s possibly one.

If I may recommend, read the book Vampire Armand. It's loooong, but Armand has some awesome backstory.

I've been rewatching this with you both! Y'all probably don't remember but one of you literally got it (Rashid being Armand) in the first video of episode 1 and 2. One of you jokingly said, "Is that Armand?" and I was like, "Omg they got it!" but you second guessed yourselves loll When I first watched, it wasn't until he took his contacts off that I got it until the end because I was not picking up context clues at all but I was hollering omg 🤭
I’m happy to report that season 2 started filming last week. But sadly, due to unforeseen circumstances, they had to recast Claudia 😭

Here’s a few things that I’m looking forward too. I hope we get Lestat and Armand in all their petty glory toward each other. Their love/hate (mostly love on Armand’s side) is real. Louis and Armand are sadly nothing to see (seriously, for like 50 plus years), so I want to see their good times in the beginning too. Louis is only happy for like a few weeks or so when they finally arrive in Paris. He’s apathetic after the events unfold, poor thing. It’s going to be sooo good tho. I love the flashbacks and the current day stuff. Although, how current are they since Loustat is endgame?
I’m really curious how they will explain season 3. In the tv show the interview happened, but it was never published. The whole reason Lestat wrote his book TVL and became a rockstar was to take the focus away from Louis. Lestat wanted all the smoke from the other vamps to protect Louis.
So many things to look forward to. Buckle up because season 2 is going to be a bumpy ride. I can’t wait!

I am so excited for season 2. ♥ If you loved Lestat, You will head over hill with Armand. He is way more f.d up than Uncle Les and much more tender in his relationships. If he didn't love Louis He wouldn't be alive now. ;) (Loumand is happening and it is canon) Also, I hope they will show what really happened with Claudia and not shy away from it (like in the movie), because Armand played a huge role in her fate (and Louis knew it). It will be spicy! I can see the fandom after that episode. xD 😈 But who knows how it will play out. I don't want a 'tone-down' Armand "who is healthier for Louis". This MF can be evil af even with his beloved ones (especially with Lestat, 'cause Armandstat is canon). He is (kind of) the devil.
I laugh so hard when you said after Louis offered the Dark Gift to Daniel: "Rashid is like WTF!" xD And I am sure it is very true for that scene after saw the very last minute of the season. Maybe Louis' line was for the Rashid-cosplay-show and Daniel, not because it is the truth. Since Armand's 'love-of-his-life' is not Louis which is also canon. It seems like the Devil found his Minion years before Dubai...

Louis was practically crying for help in that last scene ( hate to break it to armand fans as he is also my favorite character but he is worse than Lestat)
You guys have no idea what craziest relationship is yet to come, its so toxic (as all of the couples are) but they are my second favorite under louis and lestat!

The only thing i didn't like was them changing Claudia from slicing Lestat neck. I. The movie and books it was an Iconic moment. "May flights of demons wing you to your rest". 😮
I really love how people by episode 7 see lestad as monster and the other 2 just 2 poor souls when Claudia killed hundreds of people and KEPT BODY PARTS AS HER SOUVENIRS AND KEEPT RECORDS OF THEIR LAS WORDS. Even Loui, he was never a white dove forced to be a crow, he was always the wolf pretending to be a sheep.
That's the only thing I hate about this fandom, how they suddenly find ethics again in the last episode lol

Honestly loumand were a less toxic than loustat. They understood eachother. its just that louis later lost his passion with him when claudia died but if claudia had not died louis would have stayed with armand for eternity
Lestat beating up Louis and his conversation with Claudia in the train was what made me stop the problematic simping for him too. 🥲 Still can't help but simp for SAM REID tho because his acting as Lestat was PHENOMENAL.
