I BECAME (AND STILL AM) A HUGE FAN. ❤ I tell people all the time you don’t know that you know Sam Cooke. 😂 Watching you guys reach to Chris Stapleton reminds me of how I react to Sam. ❤ GOOD MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL.
I'd Rather Go Blind (Etta James/Beyonce), Love on the Brain (Rihanna), Tennessee Whiskey all use the same chord progression--and I love all those songs!
M god y’all are adorable! Haha loved this. Chris was famous around Nashville years before he got a record deal and blew up on the world stage. That’s part of why people in the industry were so excited when he started getting more recognition, because they loved him as an artist and had been following him for a long time.

Christ has actually written alottttt of song for a lot of other famous singers an artists that have actually gotta #1 on the charts many times, too many to count. He is wickedly talented and we can also thank his wife for even getting him to start singing. He had a severe debilitating stage fright and without her we wouldn't be listening to his beautiful creations 😌🍻
Etta James is the creator of that beat 🙂 Listen to her song, I'd Rather Go Blind. He took the beat and the lyrics (also someone else's) and created magic. 🔥🔥🔥
No matter what kind of music you like...when we hear someone with true talent, it doesn't matter the genre of music, we recognize talent, soul, passion, and authenticity. This song is reminiscent of the love songs of the 60s and 70s (Motown) in which they sing of what love does and feels like. This song was written long ago by country music legend Merle Haggard (way before Beyonce was born). It's not like the music of today, which is more about sex. Youngsters, if you want a good woman play them songs like this. Most people in the USA consider Chris Stapleton as a country singer, but he is so much more! This man sings with soul, passion, and pure heartbreak. He has pure Soul in that gritty voice with an incredible blend of Country, Blues, R&B, and even some jazz drumming from his drummer. Loving the band, especially the harmonica. I think all music would be improved with the addition of a harmonica but that's just me. His runs are all different, and yet, each sounds amazing. I am not much a fan of country music but this man will bring me to country singing like that. There is another country, R&B combo that hits me in the heart and soul. Please listen to it and do a reaction, I think you'll love it. "Conway Twitty ft. Sam Moore - A Rainy Night in Georgia". You'll love me after listening to it.
This is one of my favorite artists and one of my favorite songs from him. The gravel in his voice and how bluesy his music is, it's just fantastic! Love your reaction ♥️
Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes - George Jones. It is a great listen. Real country has a lot more soul and meaning in it compared to modern country pop crap.

React to Chris’ “Cold,” if Tennessee Whiskey is about how a woman’s love can save a man, “Cold” is about how a woman’s love can destroy a man. Also, Chris’ vocals are off the chart

Keep in mind when you listen to this - it was not planned. Chris was there just enjoying the show & they asked him to come up on stage & sing. Chris can kill it on the fly. Mad respect to the one & James Brown!
Omg yes!!!! Amazing
Chris is a bad man right there. He can do no wrong. Best version of this great song if you ask me. Gave me goosebumps first time hearing it.
I love watching you all’s reactions. Please watch Chris Stapleton singing It’s a man’s world. Will blow you away!
It’s awesome to see generations enjoy so many different genres of songs. Etta James is my blues for relaxation from work.
Before Chris started his solo career he was with a band called The SteelDrivers. First time I remember hearing him was on a song called Heaven Sent. It’s Bluegrass and the banjo solo in it is amazing! I highly recommend you going and listening to it.
Welcome to country music! I love your reactions! It’s so nice to see young respectful gentlemen enjoying music from today as well as music I grew up with. My parents always played music from the sixties, known as the golden oldies. By the way, I’m 62. Blessings
Chris Stapleton and Jelly roll speak to my soul! My two favorite artists today. An just so y'all know Chris has wrote about 100 of the top songs you hear on the radio. Dude is a musical genius.
I love love love this man’s voice! Great reaction as usual! 😍
As a little girl, I was taught that good music is good music no matter what the genre. It's great to hear you guys enjoy music too. I also like watching you on UTube.
A mix of country and soul! Could there be anything greater?? U have to have soul to feel it ❤️
I love watching you guys reacting to songs that most young people would never give a thought listening too.
I ❤ THIS! I’m a 51 year old white guy and my father would listen to the “oldies” (50’s) when I was in my teens and I heard “Another Saturday Day” by THE LEGEND Sam Cooke and later in my 20’s bought his greatest hits and couldn’t believe how many songs of his I already knew.
Great to see you young guys exploring other types of music
I'd Rather Go Blind (Etta James/Beyonce), Love on the Brain (Rihanna), Tennessee Whiskey all use the same chord progression--and I love all those songs!
Rihanna used al green song, for the good times.
Feels like John Mayer’s Gravity too, I think
Love the reactions!♡♡♡ Tennessee whiskey was written in 1981 and was originally recorded by David Allan Coe.
George Jones actually
@@japanfanatic1415 david allan coe was first, then george jones.
@Chris stapleton you're not the real Chris Stapleton
@@kimberly1273 Understood
YEP various versions guess drunk song. Im an straight up drunk. Chris nailed this.
M god y’all are adorable! Haha loved this. Chris was famous around Nashville years before he got a record deal and blew up on the world stage. That’s part of why people in the industry were so excited when he started getting more recognition, because they loved him as an artist and had been following him for a long time.
Chris OWNS this like no one else!!!!
You do know the lyrics are from another country singer and the song is from Etta James
Teddy swims does it better

Tennessee Whiskey" is a country song written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove. It was originally recorded by American country music artist David Allan Coe for his album of the same name Tennessee Whiskey, whose version peaked at number 77 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in 1981.[1] George Jones' 1983 version of the song was included on his album Shine On, and reached number 2 on the Hot Country Singles chart.
I love Chris’ version. It’s such a vibe to have a drink and dance around with your lady in the living room
Music is a blessing to all ears no matter the color they might be. It’s great to see a blur in a culture line. Love it
Great reaction guys I love watching people's reaction to hearing this man for the first time!! Thanks guys!!
That bassline
And George Jones, Tennesse Whiskey.
Damn stop with the racist crap..
Etta James was good but not that good.
@@bigjay123 you mean David Allen Coe.
Oh, he did his thing with song, gives me chills. Chris may not know it yet, but he's family. ❤️
I love to see young people listen to some of the classics. Love this reaction... the head bopping, imaginary guitar, and singing along.
I'm going to his concert next month. Bucketlist concert!!! Cant wait
Lucky 🤗
Just back from his concert in Atlanta a few hours ago. It was superb!!
Jealous! That's my goal in the next year!
@@srobinson35 😍🥰
This is one of my favorite artists and one of my favorite songs from him. The gravel in his voice and how bluesy his music is, it's just fantastic! Love your reaction ♥️
Like good food, good music crosses over all cultures. It'll always being us together.
Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes - George Jones. It is a great listen. Real country has a lot more soul and meaning in it compared to modern country pop crap.
Love that song. His voice moves you to tears.
He also did this song.
As a 42 year old, this music hits me a different way from when I was in my 20s.
I love how new generation finding Songs that they never heard before the different styles and loving or not loving them. But giving it a try makes me feel better to know Music will go on no matter how old the song is.
Chris Stapleton is a fantastic artist! Love his voice and his style!
“O’ he got soul!! I hope you guys explore more of Mr. Stapleton.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Chris Stapleton! I just seen him in concert a few days ago.
Guys, if you liked Tennessee Whiskey, you MUST hear Chris singing COLD from the CMA awards live or the Grammy's the other night. He tore the WHOLE show up!!! Enjoy!!!
Sooooo music that's well written with perfect lyrics, never ages. The classics never die.
🦋 i’m loving hearing a lot of music that I heard growing. The best part about this channel is you guys and your love for music and your willingness to open your hearts and hear it. This is what gives my generation hope in your generation. Much love and many blessings to you all and to those who raised you.
If you haven't already reacted to Chris and Justin Timberlake performing live at the CMA's in 2015, please watch it. AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!!
I loved them 2 together... They were the awesome 2 . ❤️❤️❤️❤️😎
That performance was iconic!!❤❤
One of my fav live performances-love watching them jam! Such mutual respect. Great artists.
Yesss! That was an AWESOME performance!❤
JUSTIN who
My boy Chris Stapleton is the best man. Hands down.
Ive been addicted to your videos tonight... so cool to see someone broaden their horizons... and to see you appreciate the talent and such, even if it's not your thing...
Stank and fonky !!!!! You hear AND feel it at the same time !!!!! Soulful as hell. Undeniable talent across the board
Literally 😂😂😂 it’s so donkey and smooth like u have to make the face
I love when people appreciate beautiful voices
"Say something" Stapleton and Timberlake is another good one. One Love HOG Nation
JT wrote it specifically for him & Chris. "Say Something" - the video was shot with rolling cameras following them singing LIVE in ONE TAKE. It's a VIBE y'all! JT can write a banger song & he has mad love for Chris. 🔥
#HOG4LIFE
"COLD" just Chris doing what he does singing his behind off.
THIS
Love that song
Chris is an amazing singer with so much soul👍🏻🎶
React to Chris’ “Cold,” if Tennessee Whiskey is about how a woman’s love can save a man, “Cold” is about how a woman’s love can destroy a man. Also, Chris’ vocals are off the chart
He was an alcoholic and his wife saved his life because she was as sweet as Tennessee whiskey and that's what this song is about you should see him sing it to his wife onstage you guys got to get it it's great because he's actually singing it to his wife and I mean man does he put out the soul
This is all chris,just perfect
You should here the duet with him and JT that was at the CMT awards, that was of the chain

This song is around 40-years old; so, Chris couldn't have stolen the beat from Beyonce.
So glad y'all liked it!!
It was released in 1961
Nope....NOT HER😂
Don’t sleep on these young men 😂. The original song came from Etta James, ‘ I would rather go blind’… Beyonce then did a remake of this song for the Cadillac Records movie soundtrack….. The lyrics are by David Allen Coe…These young men know music….
This song is amazing it gives me chills when I hear him sings this song and in some parts of this song when he sings I get Stevie wonder vibes from when he sings but overall AHHHH F***ing mazing !!!!!! He killed it
I researched the song and it's been around a bit. This man adds soul to a song that's been around a while that no one can deny. This version with top the charts in any era!! 💕
The song you guys are talking about is “ I Rather Go Blind” written and sung by Eta James. She was played Beyonce in the movie “ Cadillac Records”.
This song was originally recorded in 1981 and then released in 2015 and went platinum 6 times. He spent most of his career as a song writer. And you can see it here 100%
I love you guys reactions. It's great to see young black people enjoying other genres. They say music is the universal language. It connects all people in their hearts. Your channel is REAL guys. Keep it up ❤
This song is the Instrumental of “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James. Beyoncé singed this song in the Movie Cadillac Records
This old lady just found your channel and so happy I did. You guys are awesome! You should watch him and his wife do this one live. Nice to see the younger generation listen to different types of music. New sub here.

I’d rather go blind by Etta James is what it sounds like
Yeah. This song is a mashup.
Exactly!
Yes that song 🎶 is great! I love Etta James version. Beyoncé did a good remake of it though.
Beyonce used this beat for capital record movie.... But the drum beat is Etta James but guitar is Stapleton...
@@damienpimentel6314 the whole song itself is from Etta James, but the lyrics are from another country singer
