I had a body shop install a refurbished power steering module on my 2018 cherokee. They could not program and reason they were telling me it would not take the program and giving error codes. They changed the whole thing 3 times.
This was done with WiTech2 software and factory interface, there is no need for the bypass cable. The bypass cable is used for aftermarket scan tools that have limited function.
So, there is no other way? You can replace a defective part only with the crazy expensive U$3.500 part sold by Mopar??
Used racks may have the wrong calibration number. In this case, the rack will have to be new/blank.
Owww, 3500U$ new part and can't even try a refurbished. That's absurd 😮 that's why these jeeps have do bad reputation
Hey how much does it cost just to program it ?

This is why you don't install refurbished modules that were already programmed to another vehicle. It's a waste of time.
@@autotechtogo6290 so there is no luck to reprogram this module to my car? The new module was quoted at $4600.
Yep! Just ran into that today!
Not possible. Gonna try CDA6 software
Is this programming can't be done with scanner and SGW bypass cable??
