@@kirkrnugent No, I use StreamYard to broadcast to YT, Twitch, & Linkedin. I tried to use Twitch alone a while back but found OBS, Twitch, and all the overlays, etc, complicated and time-consuming. StreamYard is just so convenient. It just lacks the cool viewer engagement that Twitch has. Once I hit the partner program I do believe I will have access to the super chats and donation button but it still isn't as fun as dropping bits or paying for things to happen. People donate a lot through those methods.

Awesome! Glad this helped. Do you have an app or something on your iPad that will enable you to go from wide to medium? Guess I'm not familiar with what you're asking since it's not in the feature set of StreamYard. You could possibly do it with ECamm or OBS using their virtual camera feature and then creating two scenes where you had those shots predefined.
@@kirkrnugent Thanks for replying to my question. The zoom feature on the iPad enables the zooming from wide to close-up shots. However, when you add StreamYard to the mix, you lose the zooming capabilities of the iPad. StreamYard will only give a wide shot to work with. Thanks.

I use the mobile app when i'm on the go, it's clutch. But in your permanent studio that would be a challenge. Where are you setting up all this stuff? Didn't you just get an RCP?

Thanks for your comment and support of the channel. I don’t think there are hot keys for sound fx in StreamYard and hot keys are the only integration we have to link the stream deck to StreamYard. It’s possible I’m not understanding your question. When you say use StreamDeck as a soundboard what’s the desired end result?

I’ve successfully figured out how to use the sound FX as a soundboard (sounds with no on screen changes i.e. boo’s and applauses, etc) but just not my own sound FX. I’ve only been successful with the Stream Deck library assortment in the “store” section where they all are free. Still exciting, I would just like to customize a few of my own sounds!

Thanks again Kirk, watched this again as my Neo just arrived and the same instructions apply to it. Only issue I have is the downloads of icons, I got a load of weird stuff in one folder (dark) and the light just won;t open. Maybe they are now defunct :) Not a problem though I'm gonna have fun making my own

Thanks for your comment and support of the channel! Recommending a Camera for streaming has more to do with the size of the room and the position of the camera and what you want to capture. Webcams are a given and most dslr cameras will work with StreamYard as long as it has clean HDMI and you have either a capture card or a switcher like the ATEM Mini.

Thanks for your comments/questions, truly appreciated. There is a way to design your own buttons but not within the Stream Deck software (making a note to do a video on this). As long as you know the dimensions and file format you can design in your favorite software and upload them using he method shown. Yes, this works with any Hotkeys BUT you'll need to test to see if you have to be clicked into the application before they work. That is the one limitation of Hotkeys but it's not that big a deal. If you click over to type a note pressing a StreamYard hotkey won't work until you click back on the browser you have it open in. Applications that have direct integration don't have that issue since they aren't using Hotkeys. If by Profiles you mean Stream Deck Profiles then Yes. I have several and I show that in this video. I use them together sometimes because of redundancy, meaning cloud based streaming has built in fail safe if something happens to my machine. What do you mean by you can't see what your screen looks like with ECamm? For this video (and all my videos) I record them with ECamm so yes it's ECamm making this setup possible.

Hi can you help answer this, if you go live on youtube via streamyard and use a streamdeck, which 'Go Live' button are you using to start please. Also does streamyard ,streamdeck and youtube all have to be in the same browser.
@@dozydoe look in your hotkeys in StreamYard and add that keyboard shortcut to your StreamDeck. That goes for all your StreamDeck buttons for StreamYard including going live. Also you only need StreamYard open in your browser not UA-cam and there is no browser for StreamDeck. Hope this helps!
There’s no direct way to switch unfortunately. Cameras and Overlays aren’t included in the items that you can do hotkeys for. That said, I have been using SY for a very long time so the Hotkeys they have given us and the few that have been added since then are Welcomed! Thanks for your comment and support of the channel, not sure I understand your question… you can upload graphics videos into the brand but I’m not sure you can link individual videos to hotkeys. You can create a pro scene that plays a video which is what I would do but perhaps I’m just not understanding your question.

Hopefully this will change soon but at this time it's not possible.

There's no hotkey for camera switching, so the basic answer is No. However, if you have multiple cameras connected to your computer using the Elgato Camlink Card (4 Inputs) that directly integrates with the StreamDeck and shows up as 1 camera in StreamYard and you would be able to switch that way. Alternatively you could use an ATEM Mini (4 inputs) which shows up as 1 camera as well and you would be able to switch that way too.
Unfortunately the Stream Deck isn’t an audio source. It can trigger audio sound effects but unless your audio is somehow connected to StreamYard it won’t work. For Mac solutions like Loopback work great to create a virtual mic which can be selected in StreamYard. You can also use a RodeCaster Pro. Hope this helps!

Can we toggle through all the overlays, banners and comments? Do you recommend the streamdeck XL for that?
Unfortunately StreamYard has no hot keys for individual overlays so toggling through them isn’t possible with the StreamDeck at the moment.

Really need hotkeys for video clips and overlays. That was the reason I bought my stream deck. I thought it was already an option..... :(
THanks for your comment and feedback, truly helps us grow on the channel. I totally agree there are so many functions we are lacking with hotkeys and direct stream deck integration. That said, I have been using SY for a very long time so the Hotkeys they have given us and the few that have been added since then are Welcomed!

Does the brand button work for playing a video linked to a hot key?
Thanks for your comment and support of the channel, not sure I understand your question… you can upload graphics videos into the brand but I’m not sure you can link individual videos to hotkeys.
You can create a pro scene that plays a video which is what I would do but perhaps I’m just not understanding your question.

Thanks Cesar for your comment, there is no Hotkey for Switching Cameras in StreamYard so there is no way to setup a button on the Stream Deck. Hopefully this will change soon but at this time it's not possible.

Can you switch multiple cameras on stream yard via stream deck?
There's no hotkey for camera switching, so the basic answer is No. However, if you have multiple cameras connected to your computer using the Elgato Camlink Card (4 Inputs) that directly integrates with the StreamDeck and shows up as 1 camera in StreamYard and you would be able to switch that way. Alternatively you could use an ATEM Mini (4 inputs) which shows up as 1 camera as well and you would be able to switch that way too.

Unfortunately the Stream Deck isn’t an audio source. It can trigger audio sound effects but unless your audio is somehow connected to StreamYard it won’t work. For Mac solutions like Loopback work great to create a virtual mic which can be selected in StreamYard. You can also use a RodeCaster Pro. Hope this helps!
