I finally got down to 5 packs, Tortuga 40 pro was at bottom. Glad I circled back and looked into lite ver. it has enough checkmarks to close the deal. And at only $250 Honorable mention to PAKT 35l V2, TomBihn Tech 30, PeakDesign 30. For their costs, didn’t like what had to surrender in their designs. The Farpoint is to outdoorsy but props it can do light dbl duty like that and at very nice price. I dont camp enough tho.
Thank you for watching and definitely a great idea for a comparison video! I haven’t had a chance to check out the Bellroy lite bags yet but hoping to in the near future
Thanks for your review! All of your videos are super helpful. Would you happen to know if this bag has more capacity than the Aer Travel Pack 3? This bag has a higher liter rating but the TP3 has larger dimensions. Thank you!
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! I would say this one has more space overall in the main compartment due to the simpler layout
Thanks for this review. This is probably the best bag for me. Great materials and construction, comfy harness system, and is right at the $250 price point I'm looking to spend. I have run-of-the-mill cheaper bags and want something a bit more premium now. I LOVE the stowable shoulder straps! I like the simpler main compartment design as I use bags mainly for leisure travel and not all the tech accommodations. 40L is big though and that's the ONLY thing that might hold me back. I think 35L would be perfect for me - like Aer Travel Pack 3 but it doesn't have a shoulder strap storage option. That might be the perfect pack for me if it had strap storage. Why oh why does it not?
the ppl have spoken...the ALL LITE bundle $300 sold out < 12hrs (6/29)...pro bundle still remain avail. the 40 lite is a great bag. No such thing as perfect bag, unless make urself, even then would miss something
I was really hoping to pull the trigger on this bag, but all the reviews that have dropped show insane amounts of dangle from the shoulder/hip straps! I find it mad that such high end backpacks have such excessive strap dangle. Why not implement an elastic strap keeper loop to keep things tidy? Evergoods is the only company I know of that pays attention to this detail
Traveling costs money. There are bags like from tomtoc that provide a budget alternative. You can also travel cheaper like I did as a student with a cloth duffel. There seems this strange thing that everyone wants to travel to expensive far away places and also do a lot of things but don't spend any money.

Comparing Tortuga Travel Pack Lite 40L with new Bellroy Travel Pack Lite 38L... thoughts? Head to head comparison might be nice.

Great review. I love the simple layout on this bag with the omission of the large admin pocket.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! I agree this simpler layout is really great!

3:18 good to know! Nice review, very thorough
At almost 2kg it’s not very light. That means you can carry 5kg of stuff in your 40L bag in many cases.
Thanks for the review, Danny!
Thank you for watching and awesome job on the travel pack lite!

Hope they will consider making a 30l version.
I agree. I'd buy this bag if it came in a smaller size. I really liked what this pack has to offer.
Thank you for watching and I agree, hope to see that at some point!
I emailed them and they are working on a smaller version! Didn’t say exact size but it will be between 30-35L 😊. I’m hopeful!
I like that minimalist pack. Do these backpacks go on sale ever?
Ever? Yes, but rarely. 😔
Does it have a luggage pass through ?

Sadly the cost of $250 prices out “most people”. Great review though, thank you for going into the details.
I don’t think so. I think it’s priced accordingly.
I also disagree. For some of the highest quality travel backpacks, I personally don’t think $250 is unreasonable.
Disagree Aer is around that price and Evergoods is even more expensive haha
@mikej243 What do you think is an appropriate budget for a quality travel backpack?
Traveling costs money.
There are bags like from tomtoc that provide a budget alternative.
You can also travel cheaper like I did as a student with a cloth duffel.
There seems this strange thing that everyone wants to travel to expensive far away places and also do a lot of things but don't spend any money.
Still too heavy for traveling in Asia
