Tarpaulin material scratches so easily that's why it decided too put nylon under. I don't see this being better than what aer offers. Harness is so thin and too narrow and looks like you can't even attach a waist strap in it. Aer is boxy but this one is a box. It doesn't even have compression straps. Idk man just that big North Face logo already deterred me from it. Imho the only thing it does better is the price and probably bottled water pockets.
Thanks for the review! I ended up buying the smaller version (I was looking for something more of a personal item and I even found it with a $33 discount) and I love it! Great backpacks from NF either way. Thanks for the detailed review, it really helped with my decision.
I purchased this in Navy. Perfect for my needs and the Logo is dark and not very noticeable. I'm not a fan of big obvious logos and I often avoid buying product with brand signage all over them. I wish companies would make their labels more subtle. I don't want to be a walking billboard and once you wear other things like jackets, shoes etc, it can look a bit confusing and try hard. I liked the Fjallraven bags but the huge brand logo ruined the look and not for me
I like the external attachment points but the contrasting logo and stitching are pretty obnoxious. The pocket arrangement reminds me of the AER travel pack.
Enjoying my window shopping backpack with your review, I tried to search your video review for this backpack but it wasn't coming up in google search and UA-cam search result for "North Face Basecamp Voyager Travel Backpack", your daypack version is above this backpack in UA-cam result, I think you should include the backpack name on the title for SEO... Hey, great review video as always!
By chance.. im still confused from your comparisons.. which main compartment has more room for for clothes storage during a 2 week trip? (Like fully packed to the max) The north face backpack you reviewed or the patagonia 30L MLC?
This bag is listed as the same liters as the Cotopaxi Allpa 35 and aer travelpack 35 but the lxwxh measurements are smaller compared to the Allpa or Aer. Do think volume is comparable?
Thank you for watching! I haven’t used the allpa but compared to the travel pack 3 it’s fairly close when I put in a similar load out (the tp3 can still hold a bit more especially since the front zippered pocket goes all the way down to the bottom)
Thank you for watching! I think this one would be a little too big as a personal item on most airlines but good as a carry on for the overhead storage area
Please, explain to the European what the hell has happened to the drinking water in the USA. I have travelled to over 80 countries, but to the US, and I can assure you that you can buy a bottle of water on every bloody corner. Even on Mahe, Praslin or La Digue in the middle of nowhere with no source of drinking water you can get a cold bottle of any size. It seems to me like psychosis, an unfounded fear.
I don't mind no hip belts (I never personally use them), but I hate to see no load lifters as bags get to 35L + in size.
Looks like (a better but less pricey version) of aer.
However minus the back harness system and load lifters

💯 and north face logo is horrendous

It's nearly perfect but missing a few key things like a tablet pouch etc so I went for the Patagonia MLC, just has those extra features IMO
Thank you for watching! The MLC is definitely a great alternative!
Great review!! I would spend a little more and get a proper pack. Not a fan of TNF.
@Crying-Croc haha yes. Good point.
Thank you for watching and fair point!

How is the water Resistance? Would be using this to bike to the gym in the rain
Thank you for watching! Weather resistance is solid overall but for heavier rain I would still recommend a rain cover
@@dannypacks Appreciate the response and the review. Thanks!

Hey, great review video as always!
Thank you for watching and for the support! Good callout on the title, I’ve updated it now!:)
Excellent review Sir, I'm a big TNF fan.

The north face backpack you reviewed or the patagonia 30L MLC?
Thank you for watching! They are pretty close but for me it still feels like the north face can hold slightly more
@dannypacks Thank you!
By chance do you think it can fit under the seat on a plane??
What's the dimension for this 35L pack? In their website it was a wrong number (12'' x 6.3'' x 19.3'').
Also interested to know actual size. Can't find a single review that give the real size.
Tres sympa ce sac..

Does this fit under plane seat?
Thank you for watching! I think this will be a little too big (particularly the height) to fit under most airplanes seats

no stowable straps, why!?
Looks like an AER bag
Thank you for watching and good point, I can definitely see some similarities
