@@mikederp9612 No it doesnt. And its a completely valid and smart argument with the mold and also just ease of doing it. But dont call it sun dried if it isnt. A colder slower dry preserves flavors that are volatile.
If they arent you cant call them sun dried in the stores. Theres rules and regulations. Not saying its a huge deal, especially for homemade stuff but you get the drift
title misleading and false. so this one gets a 👎. these are NOT sun-died but are oven dried. And their is a difference for people who really appreciate real sun-dried tomatoes.
Firstly, you can use any salt. “Kosher” salt, is absolutely unnecessary. Secondly, theses are “dried” tomatoes, not “sun dried” (you know what the sun is, right?)
sun dried tomato expert here, you forgot the sun.
THESE ARENT SUN DRIED!
But you didn't dry them I'm the sun ☀
Does the sun add flavor? Or do people have to use a dehydrator or a oven because humidity is too high and much higher risk of molding them? Ma dai

Most other people - You mean sun dried tomatoes?
@@mikederp9612 dried tomatoes is even shorter🤡🤡🤡
Sundried tomatoes are usually left to marinate for a while in olive oil
We in Northwestern Ohio don't have enough sun to dry them. So the oven is our best appliance. They look yummy!!! I will try them soon!!!😊
That would be dehydrated tomatos
Still better than the ones from the store and the store ones aren’t dried in the sun either y’all 🤡
