Nintendo forgot all of the paper in this totally Paper Mario game!? What were they thinking!? I hope somebody got fired for THAT blunder!
Maybe the problem is the name itself Paper Mario , which the designers were referring to crafted gimiks nowadays. It would've been called Book of Mario instead.
Even knowing it's a joke I still get this nausea and my throat closes listening to it XDDDDD. The Geno bit at the end was priceless haha.

Funny how when he mentions the paper Mario games, he mentions 64 and TtYD as the good ones and the back 3 games as the bad ones. Completely forgetting that Super Paper Mario even exists. Like everyone.

I don't forget that Super exists. It has the best story.
Actually Super is the one along with The Origami King that really gets grouped in with the two real unforgivable ones despite them being very much not the same and different enough actually decent games with their stories characters and gameplay that I personally defend because I hold a serious soft spot for them. And ever since the origami king I said it the franchise was finally back to the point it was with Super and I had faith in them that the series was finally going back on the right path. But did anyone believe me or listen to me? ¡HAH N Õ!

Now in case if any of you don't know, Super Mario RPG came out in 1996. Paper Mario came out in 2000.
How do you manage to show each Paper Mario game except Super? Is it something on it's own entirely or is it a spliting point in the Series? Everyone agrees though it has the best story by far.

I felt this so hard seeing all the demand for Geno in Smash 4 and Ultimate. He just felt like such an irrelevant character and never understood why everyone wanted him. A third party Mario character from a really old game people barely ever talk about just felt like such a waste of a character slot. At least now Geno is going to have some actual relevance again, so those requests will make a lot more sense

Sticker Star, Color Splash and Origami King still suck and if you like them you should be committed.
I guess I am gonna be committed cuz I liked Origami King. Yes, I played TTYD and understand that it's a masterpiece.
But, the game isn't perfect like what you and many others like to say. My only gripe with it is the tedious backtracking.
Main point? A game can be a 10/10 in others' eyes, but people can't just blindly like it and not acknowledge the flaws in it. So, deem me insane for liking Origami King I can live with that cuz of the simple fact that I also hate Sticker Star because it's simply boring after a few minutes of playtime

And where did I ever say it WAS perfect? Why bring up TTYD and fans of TTYD in defense of Origami King? I am not judging Origami King by its relation to TTYD or even the original Paper Mario. I am a Super Paper Mario enjoyer so I am by no means a die hard supporter of the classic Paper Mario formula. I don't dislike nu-Paper Mario because it's different. I dislike it because Sticker Star was a slap in the face because of how thoroughly uninteresting and unrewarding gameplay was on top of being a completely sterile portrayal of the Mario setting. The two games that came out after did not look like they were going to seriously address these issues either.
If they don't want to make RPG Paper Mario's anymore then they should just drop all pretense of turn based combat and do something completely different like Super. I could forgive a by the numbers take on Mario and the Mushroom Kingdom if it at least looked like it would be really fun to play.

Alright I agree with all of this...but, as amazing as TTYD was you gone too far when saying all of the other paper marios were trash. I mean there's always going to be a "Sticker star" in a franchise like this but if you truly like Paper Mario you have to accept every game.

We will not forgive them for poisoning said tree, and will not buy any fruit until they uproot that tree and start fresh!
Translation: Sticker Star was a certified dumpster fire, and instead of backpedaling, they committed to continuing it's legacy. It doesn't matter if they did something good with that formula, it's unforgivable on principle that the old formula died so this one can keep existing.
TLDR: Yeah, I know it's stupid, but it's a matter of pride and being stubborn, not logic tbh. 😅
