Dave Mustaine just said last week he is diagnosed with throat cancer. Hope he makes it thru. Megadeth is one of my favorite bands.
Dave is the best
ALRIHAE same
Holy Wars gives me goosebumps
God bless Dave through the fight. This song kicks ass.Go Mustaine.
Dave has been through alot in his life and i know he'll destroy this cancer.
Didn't expect Megadeth
Didn't expect She-Wolf
Didn't expect it's the live version
Not their best live version of this song.
@@dantrag2890 I have seen a lot of live version. This duo with al pitrelli is the best one IMO. I've seen this version with marty friedman and it wasn't as developed before he left.
Tbh it utterly threw me off guard. XD
It was so cool to see her reactions to all the beautifully vocal stuff a pair of guitars can do :)
@@dantrag2890 I've seen this before and was blown away. If there's a better live version, please feel free to point me towards it.
We're just not-so-secretly trying to turn you into a metal-head ;)

Dude, have you seen her reactions to Iron Maiden or Primal Fear? She's already there!
she's already hooked. offcourse, it's some of the finest playing there.
She mentioned before that she was into slipknot when she was a young gal... Pretty sure she already has some metalhead in her.
According to her she already was
The Mustaine angry, sneering vocal is genius. Not the world's greatest singer but he took what he had and became an icon with it.
Megadeth wouldn't as amazing as they are without his vocal style and musical brilliance.
Of the Big Four, the best imo.
Get well soon boss!! 🤗
Yeah but live he performs much worse than on studio
@@l30S3UX Because he's playing intricate guitssr rhythms? It's not like his playing and his singing are mutually exclusive live
@@l30S3UX No shit lol
In the studio he's in a controlled space, live there are a LOT of factors going on, add to that the fact that Megadeth did some seriously extensive touring
\\DEM-GTR// “intricate”megadeths ad simple as it gets fanboi
@@recipoldinasty I'll just list songs that have intricate rhythms. If you really think they're simple "as it gets", grab a guitar and sing:

Fun Fact : Dave Mustaine never wanted to sing for megadeth. They tried to find people but no one was right for the music. Bassist David Ellifson told Dave he should try singing but he really didn’t want to. After he sang, the band thought it was good and that’s the story of how Dave became a singer !
VoidFever in another interview he said that it was really difficult for him to be able to play and sing at the same time. He says its still difficult at times even now after years of playing.
Izekeal Topanga yea when u play fast and hard riffs and sing at the same like he does it’s hell
@@izekealtopanga8513
And his body is basically shot at this point. Then add throat cancer to it.
Similar to how James never wanted to sing for Metallica 😅 I think everything worked out in the end
Personally, I would bet that because James was lead singer for Metallica and Dave wanted to do the same thing but heavier, it's a safe bet to say that he wanted to do it more to show them, that he can be Metallica but faster and stronger.
Wow, didn't expect to see megadeth on here :O
TheDarkMessiah she is great and a metal head!!! She did slipknot and couple more metal tunes!!
Yeah I know she was more into the metal side of things back in her teenage years :P I got into this channel because of her Jinjer reactions. I just never expected Megadeth here 'cause Dave isn't a particularly good singer in the first place :P
(Knowing that she's up for almost any song almost makes me want to request some Fleshgod Apocalypse so she can explain why I can't ever get into Paolo's clean vocals >.> )
@Andrew Cazessus I'd like to see her react to Ian Gillian in Deep Purple
Let's just hope she doesn't get to Tornado of Souls live version (although there are cool versions out there)
I mean she reacted to Iron Maiden so why not Megadeth
Dave Mustaine is a unique entity. You either absolutely hate him or absolutely love him!! There is no middle ground when it comes to his singing. He's no Dimash, but he's perfect for what he's trying to do!!! Love ya Dave! Get well soon!!!
well said! :)
Randy Wissler I just "kind of like him". I think it's rare to hear people absolutely love his voice. Most of my friends think it's it's good and bad at the same time
his intensity singing goes well with the thrash music they play. Take No Prisoners kicks ass.
@@BenRangel I love his voice for what he's doing. Now as a singer in general, no I do not love it. That's why I mentioned Dimash. He is the greatest singer in the world right now. For any band other than megadeth, probably would not like his voice. But for megadeth, it's perfect!
I'm the middle ground. He's terrible but like it. It's thrash metal, after all.
But I really wanted Megadeth to hire a singer.
this was a weird point in their career, before this and after this he sung much more openly
I must say, I really liked this series of albums.
This. Why i thought it was weird she reacted to this
I REALLY enjoy his Vocals in "Rust in Peace"
@@rubenleavell Between Peace Sells and Rust in Peace he did get some vocal coaching. It obviously didn't turn him into an opera singer, but you can definitely hear a difference between the two albums.
Yeah at the youthanasia times, although 2008 was so so good in terms of his vocals and the album ofc
Prayers for Mustaine. He was diagnosed with throat cancer a couple weeks ago. Great guitar player
Maybe he's not the best vocalist but I honestly really like his voice and i think it goes well with Megadeth. Hope he will get well soon.
haha a vocal coach watching Megadeth guitar solo's for most of the video. this makes me happy xD
There must be a Sweating Bullets reaction :( Dave Mustaine's best vocal performance for sure...or captive honour ?
bring it in \m/. dave really has a style for sure.
Megadeth tried for 6 months to find a singer before Dave said screw it and sang
@@dallaswinston5906 we already know that
@@dallaswinston5906 I'm curious what Megadeth would've sounded with Sean Harris as the vocalist.
Elysian Fields is a good example
This was a surprise for me, can you do a Ronnie James Dio vocal reaction?
She did it
Children of the sea
She has Children of the Sea somewhere in her channel
@@MetalPersonJ Don't talk to strangers live
Gonna look it up
Dave Mustaine is such an underrated vocalist. I'd recommend listening to In my darkest hour, Never walk alone (call to arms) or Die dead enough
Dave's an interesting singer, in that he never wanted to be a singer. But when he founded Megadeth (after getting fired from Metallica, where he was the lead guitarist), he couldn't find a singer he liked to front the band, so he just did it himself.
Dave's voice has improved a lot over the years as he learned to sing.
edit: Dave's voice in early Megadeth albums is... an acquired taste.
i really like daves voice in Youthanaisa
I think his voice was at its best in killing is my business
To be fair, his gravelly singing style from Endgame onward can also be considered an acquired taste by many. He can certainly hold a pitch better than he did in the early days, but the toll that age and many years of bad singing technique have taken on his vocal chords is painfully apparent. Honestly has me wondering if it was an exacerbating factor in his unfortunate contraction of throat cancer. Glad he's past that now and is forging toward another new album, which sounds like it's probably going to be amazing judging from some of Dave's livestreams.
His best vocals are from when he was younger. 1983-1988. Check the live concert Berkeley 1984.
Dave Mustaine always looks like he hates his job.
it's seems more like "evething makes me angry"
But the hate is my fuel
@@vicenteneto6767 If you read some bio on him, its this.
Sound like it too
I recall in an old interview with Marty Friedman. “Dave plays guitar like he’s got a lot of hate. While I play guitar with a lot of love.”
Never thought I'll see Dave Mustaine here as he is first and foremost known for his guitar playing skills. Some people don't like his voice, but I do. I think it is very specific and fits perfectly for Megadeth. It just wouldn't be Megadeth without it.
This live version of She-wolf is one of my favorite performances by Megadeth and it is so nice when a vocal coach gets blown away by musical prowess of the band. I enjoyed watching this video very much.
What you need to know about Mustaine is that his singing technique has always been terrible. He's a guitar player that sings and not a singer who plays guitar. His voice was pretty much destroyed by the 2010s'. I would have personally chosen something from the early 90's like Youthanasia era stuff or like A Secret Place live in 1998 or something. Also who requested a video that has like 2 mins or singing and like 7 mins of guitar solos and a drum solo :D
Ducktapejesus AND a drum solo lmao!
Ducktapejesus true but what he was able to do with that voice is to me nothing short of amazing. And for me, Tornado of Souls is where he really shines as a vocalist. It’s a near perfect track.
The thing is sing while playing his riffs .
Um it's Megadeth. All of their songs are 2 mins of singing and 7 mins of solos.
TBF, this was recorded in 2001.
Though I do recall, at the time, he described his vocal warm-up as "I put out my cigarette, hawked up some phlegm and said 'let's do this'".
Dude those drums sound EXCELLENT, mixed so well & so well tuned 👌🏼
8:17 - 8:38 can we just appreciate how this part of the harmony is just freaking amazing?
Beth,
First & foremost I wanna Thank you for being so kind to all of the Rock & Metal singers you have done a Vocal Coach reaction video on!😺👏I love Megadeth & Dave Mustaine & I think Dave would be very happy to see & hear how you liked his voice & guitar playing:)👍
I never thought I'd see my favorite band on my favorite reaction channel! Awesome
✊ 🤘
She-Wolf was always my favorite song from Cryptic Writings, but I always wished it was longer. I’d never seen this version before, but it’s exactly what I wanted! Thank you for doing this one!
I am glad she liked Megadeth, they are my favorite band,
"Showing off musical excellence" is basically what good thrash metal is all about.
Nobody betrays a villain better than Dave Mustaine. The raw emotion in most of his music is amazing.
You genuinely are sweet and open to the type of music they played. This literally is the best live exhibition of Megadeth's 40 years of musical prowess. Thank you!
Found it so hard to concentrate on your review of my fav song of my fav band but, once again Beth, you have the perfect descriptions. I love watching your reaction vids. Keep them coming. Thank you. X
Same here lol. I've listened to that song so many times I know every note by heart. I was also super lucky that I was there at the show when they recorded it live!
The trademark Dave Mustaine grimacing singing technique!💪🏻🤘🏻
One of my favorite live recordings of a Megadeth track! Amazing guitar solo battle!
You always put an extra pep in my step for the day!
That was very pleasant to watch, one of my all time favourite songs! Thank you :-)
One of my favourite tunes by Megadeth. Surprising, thanks!
"It's so precise"
You have to be precise when working with Dave Mustaine.
otherwise, you'll get fired, just ask the previous 5 guitarist lol
@@femboycyan poor Drover, the guy never did get the Tornado of Souls solo right.
@@chadmorral1326 shame, dude was pretty technically proficient, too
@@femboycyan yeah, I really enjoy the solos he wrote on UA. I think he's a wonderful player.
This made me so happy just seeing you experience this amazing performance so organically for the first time & I loved your very interesting, non-derogatory comments regarding Mustaine's "unique" vocal style.
You'd probably get a kick out of something weirdly bizarre like "Sweating Bullets", or some of the softer stuff on Cryptic Writings, but honestly he had some pretty good vocal chops overall throughout the 90s
He really worked out how to get the most out of what little he had during this time to pretty incredible results, pretty inspirational
this has always been one of my favorite Megadeth songs. I love the lyrics and the dual solo at the end. The unplugged version of this song is just as good, which is rare.
Always loved Dave's description of how he warms up for his vocals. "Hey Dave, aren't ya gonna do vocal warmups?" Dave: "Hoooooooooooorrrrrrk. OK I'm warmed up"
I love you Beth greetings from Argentina 😊, please reacts to Painkiller - Judas Priest
YES PLEASE
THIS
Megadeth Megadeth aguante Megadeth!!!!!!
Beyond the realms of death
Painkiller is always the go to, and it's a good demonstration of how the band still "has it," but I'd much rather see her react to "The Sentinel." In no small part because it's really overlooked, but still a great demonstration of Halford's singing.
Really wasn't expecting this lol Nice job:)
Great performance from my favourite band. Get well soon Dave. Loved your reaction 🤘
I wonder how you’d react to Peace Sells and Promises. Two very different pieces from MegaDeth. Peace is a classic, old but great, and Promises is a much slower and sweeter song.
Dave isn’t a vocal genius, but he’s still damn good at what he does.
Girl It's Megadeth. They only know one way. Full speed, tight, and clean.
Dave Mustaine is a great example of why, in the metal world, we usually refer to our frontmen as vocalists and not singers. But he’s an insane guitarist, and his voice is part of what makes Megadeth so great.
Get well soon, Dave Mustaine! Love your videos.
The Rude Awakening Live show is one of my top things to listen/watch!!!
Gets the juices flowing! 🤘
I was there when they were recording it. It was an amazing show!
You should definitely check out a tout le monde by them. Excellent vocals during megadeth's time period
What an unexpected video in every facet. Beth reviewing Dave, the improvisation and alteration to the source in the live performance, which I have never seen before and was outstanding, just all of it.
These are some of Dave's finest guitar licks lead live with this band. And thanks for rockin' Jimmy's drum solo! A VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER This is the TALL WEEDS Beth!
Adoro essa música, e o jeito de cantar de Dave Mustaine é único
Dave Mustaines song writing ability is legendary
It was great to see you react to this band was a very nice surprise!!!!!
My favorite band in the whole world!
Love u to Beth, doing a great job!!
Please react to Blind Guardian - Mirror Mirror.
Hansi Kürsch is one of the greatest vocalists of all time. :D
Das Plopp True. I’m gonna see him live with Demons & Wizards next month.
Hanson is bald and annoying
Johnny Fountains lol wut?
Mirror Mirror solely because I can't see her agreeing to go through the whole of And Then There Was Silence.
Dave was never the best singer out there, but he was/is one of the most unique and how could we have had the 80's/90's without him?
Surprised to see “Megadeath” reaction on this channel. Dave is one of my favorites. Playing guitar like he does & singing lead vocals. He is just a incredible talent. Hated to hear he was diagnosed with throat cancer and canceled all up coming performances.
People that don’t like Megadeath can’t stand his voice. I like how it’s different & unique.
Great reaction! Keep up the great work on reacting to different artists.
How much i fricking love this concert, and the "That one night"
The thing about Dave is that he definitely can hit those higher notes (see "Sweating Bullets"), it's just not really the band's style.
Dave Mustaine is a metal god! Would love to see you breakdown Tornado Of Souls
Wow, what a great live version that was. Haven't heard it before!
I was at this show in Phoenix, AZ when they recorded this live. It was incredibly amazing and a very small place. It was so lowd that one of my ears was ringing for 2 days afterwards cause I didn't have earplugs
I've always thought Mustaine sounded like he was constipated half of the time. But it works. Okay then.
PS, I lovingly say that as a long time Megadeth fan.
Costipaded ahahah jeah.
Russell Allen from Symphony X / Adrenaline Mob please!!! The Adrenaline Mob cover of Barracuda (Heart) is amazing and give the feels!
Their cover of Come Undone is phenomenal too.
Oh yeah I could give some really good examples of the symphony x masterpieces ❤️
well... that was epic! cool to see you react to music too! :)
Just recently discovered your channel, love your metal reviews! \m/ Strongs for Dave and the cancer fright.
Jimmy DeGrasso was such an underrated drummer in Megadeth
A beast
We all Megadeth fans know and admit that Dave signs like shit. But we love him and his voice🤘🏽
I'm a 45yr old Leukemia / BMT patient over in the U.S. and I absolutely love your channel!! You do such a great job explaining how everyone sings on a technical level that I believe that, should I make it through my battle, I could actually learn how to sing! Lol!
And I think you're absolutely adorable. 😊
Here are my 2 wishlist songs I would love to see you react to:
1) Judas Priest - The Sentinel "Live"
2) Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark "Live in Rio"
I know you've done videos for both bands already, but the Judas Priest one was from before they became the metal band they are today & Maiden is my favorite band & Fear of the Dark is a fun song where the crowd participates & it's just so much fun I think you'll really enjoy it. Thanks.

I haven't watched that in years! That's from the Rude Awakening live DVD. It was shot in my hometown Phoenix, AZ. I used to watch that thing religiously!
Please react to Rush - The Spirit of Radio 🙏🏻❤️
I want to see her react to the "oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooof SALESmen!" part =D
@@Kylora2112 I think the "Each of us, a cell of awareness, imperfect and incomplete" line from Free Will would probably blow her mind even more. But either one. Hell, any Rush song.

Love that song. Great extended version. Dave Mustaine might not be the best vocalist in the world but his guitar playing is right up there! 🎸🤟🤟🤟
I didn’t expect to see Megadeth on here, let alone she wolf live! This video made me subscribe to your channel. Keep up the great reactions to metal music.
Love to see you do
In this moments. “World in flames”

Please Nevermore - Insignificant or The River Dragon Has Come!!! You'll absolutely like it. Warre Dane is one of the best singers and songwriters in music history. R.I.P. :(
Love Nevermore, super underrated.
MegaDave Taylor yesss the river dragon has come !!!!
Or "Believe in nothing". Anything off of "Dead heart", really. Warrel Dane was awesome, and that entire album is an all killer no filler evergreen.
I thought Dane was much better on Into the Mirror Black than he was on any of the Nevermore albums.

Dave Mustaine is a legend! We love you dave and we wish you the best with your battle with cancer.
Dave for me is the perfect fit for Megadeth no one else could’ve replaced him singing. His gritty aggressive voice is unique. As many have said you either like his singing or you don’t.
Really hope Dave‘s gonna be okay.
Maybe review something by Metallica next? Fade to Black, ’89 in Seattle would be awesome!
Patrick Stupp she’s reacted to Outlaw Torn from the S&M concert but it would be interesting to see her react to early Hetfield
Dave Mustaine is a great songwriter and an absolute riff-god but he isn't and never was a great singer. IIRC he originally didn't really even want to sing.
Yeah, but you have to admit - MegaDeth songs would suck if he wasn't singing them.
Yeah, he'd be the first to admit he's not a singer, he has no true "singing" voice, so he adopted this strange technique, but he uses it well.
To be honest I agree ...but i still love his vocals and nobody ...I mean nobody would fit into Megadeth other than him. Maybe Anselmo but I don’t zhink anybody else would fit into Megadeth as a singer .
I like to say that Dave DOES have a great vocal range. It's the entire spectrum of "Angry." And for Megadeth, I wouldn't have it any other way. I did, however, wrote a nearly identical comment to yours, then gave up and gave yours a like.
This is one of best concert performance ever... Get better soon Dave!
You dont know how long ive been waiting for someone to judge mustaines vocals.
Two videos in one day? Cool. Pls react to Seventh Wonder
Megadeath songs are more technical then Metallica and there is something in dave mustaine's vocals which moulds so soothingly that it is impossible for other vocalists to even give the feel that his voice produces.
Pritam Dey exceptionally stated!
I’m just waiting for her to start doing covers of these types songs. Tbh I would love a Megadeth cover.
This lady gives us sparkle. Great video's
More Megadeth please. And Bathory
Dave in not known for his incredible vocals lmao
But its unique af. That's all matters.
I love his vocals. You can't compare him to James Hetfield or anyone else really, but his style is really unique and awesome in its own way. I've seen them live a few times. Dave is great. The whole band is great.
Dave is known for being an incredible guitarist 🤘
Listen loved to death again .
I also like his vocals, big Megadeth fan. He doesn't ALWAYS sound good live, I've heard some weird vocals from him over the years...
Is amazing to see how you react to a whole new experience you didn't expect musically talking. ( 9:20 i love it )
Not a whole lot of vocals, but I loved your reaction! It's a fantastic performance.
Megadeth was the last thing I would expect to see on this channel 😂
The best thing Metallica ever did was kicking out Dave Mustaine - so he could clean up his act and bring us Megadeth. He's not my favorite singer but what he does and the way he does it works so well for Megadeth. Especially in metal it's the delivery that counts. And I think he'd shudder hearing you call Megadeth "pop music" *g* And Mustaine is a great guitarist. The things he plays while singing are pretty impressive. Oh, and when you want machine gun drumming, try Judas Priest - Painkiller.
Dave didn’t get sober until around the early 2000s, after his wife left him for a while. Read his book, as he talks about his crazy drug abuse a lot in it
@@shredgordon3240 I thought he had at least reigned it in. I mean, if you get out of a band nicknamed AlcoholicA for being a drunk it must be pretty bad. Hard to believe he could play shit like he did while being completely wasted/high. thanks for the heads up. Yeah, I'm not interested enough in Dave to actually read his biography - besides not being that much into biographies anyway.
Fun fact, I was there that night in Novemeber 2004. It was an amazing concert and I was show on the video several times.
Dave singing is just an extra cherry on top of the milkshake of guitar work !
