Octane talks to Ken behind the scenes if you pay close attention to Sam’s comments throughout the year you can tell. As of lately he’s been VERY critical of Pred, almost purposefully watching him on the mini map on watch parties. I think there is internal issues with Pred because after they won Pred was riding way too much of a high.
I think you’re right. I’ve noticed that too. He’s mentioned it multiple times the last month. Ultimately Pred has played been a big part in their losses.

Thing i hate with optic is they get cocky so easily and start yapping and complaining about everything. For example they lose to vegas and instantly complain about online and how vegas are trash talking etc instead of focusing on their game. Same thing happened last year. Just keep your mourh shut and speak with results. If they ever make a statememt/excuse about why they played bad in major 4 i just know they are not gonna play well in champs.

It all depends on the rest of Thieves. LAG don’t have a player on Dan’s level, but the rest of the team are so inconsistent.

Optic signed pred to drop numbers like he did in vanguard. It hasn’t happened. I feel like they need a scrap/hydra. Constant pressure on the map
The sad thing is if we do drop pred he's gonna have fire in him, and probably gonna go back to being top3 sub. His drive seems low as well as confidence. He can bring it back hopefully i would hate see him go

You can visibly see something is wrong with the chemistry on Optic right now, even when they win a map there are no fist bumps or smiles on the team. Something is clearly going on internally! I don’t even root for Optic so this is from an objective perspective. Somewhere between the Major 3 win and the start of the qualifiers this stage something has changed. It’s interesting to see how these 4 guys were getting along so well and then win an event then crash into the depths.
I am the same I am not for or against optic I usually just route for the underdog I think it's bigger than the players I think it's something with the optic cod org something inhibits them winning except the outlier but they have not consistently won since the dynasty broke up

Most teams can’t do that. The reason Ohio and Texas could that because they have small venues. Also teams aren’t even making money and you want them to pay for a year of travel 😂😂😂😂
If teams aren’t making money they need to sell their spots and move out..the reason this league is so top heavy is because these teams don’t have the resources to compete! You wanna build a championship calibre team, spend the money.

As an OpTic fan, and I know it’s much deeper than what we can see.
ARs need to anchor, SMGs need to feed/play off each other. Kenny and Dashy both are trying to take map presence while Ant and AG are splitting the map in half. That leaves minimal hill presence, and a ton of opportunities in every game mode for any team to essentially overtake an entirety of a map with one solid push. They rely on the gunny far too much. Teamwork is too important for these 4 not to be utilizing it to a tee.
FaZe play off each other. Cell anchors, the tiny terrors take map control and play on the same half with each other and Draz fills the gaps out.
It’s not deep at all. Success starts at the owner. Hecz cares more about content than winning, he treats them like royalty even though they constantly let them down, I could go on and on hecz and his pathetic content/family attitude is the problem

HeCz can’t control what the players do. He is the GM essentially, not the coach, not the players. Toronto, FaZe, even NYSL try and make a lot of content as well…

Simp alone maybe more talented than Scump and I am confident to say that as an OpTic but Cell and Abezy dont match up to Formal and Karma or Crim. 2) they cant win because they are chokers, the format in the CDL is easy as shit, win online, win in the winners bracket, oh look its sunday. Not the same as going to a 164 team lan and playing through an ENTIRE double elim bracket and CONSISTENTLY coming out on top. Besides, Scump always put up numbers against FaZe even during the CDL. 3) They cant win because they didn’t have Drazah, now that they actually have a player that has any fucking bit of dog in them, its transpired to the rest of the team and now, TRULY, we are watching peak FaZe. Cold War is also to mention, Alec had that dog in him for fucking sure, dude just can’t contribute to as high of a level as he did in the past nor as high of a level as Drazah.
The problems lie within Pred. He got first blooded over HALF the rounds in SND for the series. He’s just blacking out and straight sprinting

Most ppl know theres been a weird trend for OpTic where ever since IW champs, they will win 1 event, then they lose every match, often just choking winning positions, all while completely abandoning every single aspect of their game that made them successful. So my simple yet genius idea for them to never go through these horrendous streaks of being terrible again is.....never win another event! That way they wont have to go through sucking ever again! Just be a solid T4 team, its simple really.
Optic need to invest into a mind coach / therapist esque role, similar to Astralis back in 2019(?) for CS

OWL had a LAN League that wasn’t in a huge stage, it held a good amount of fans and it had huge screens behind the players, it was nice watching the matches pre-covid because every game had fans, and they had the home stands as an extra and the OWWC at Blizzcon ‘16-‘19(how CDL had the home series’ for a bit). Iirc it was in Anaheim near Blizzard’s HQ

I would love to see a LAN setup for league matches in Dallas or a central location. Pay for players rents nearby and let them scrim online whenever they want but once a week they all go out to do their matches at the central facility face to face on LAN. Major tournaments then take place where they're most feasible/will sell out. If the CDL is dropping named locations from team names anyways, nobody is going to care that the Toronto Ultra, now just Ultra lives in Dallas or not. If people don't like it, I'm sure someone will and can take their spot.

This season was crazy the game 5 bug bit alot of teams optic is the current one but others were hit too

I've been saying all year long that when things are going well and everything is clicking, Pred is great to have on OpTic... But when shit is going bad, Pred is not the guy I'd want on my team. He's one of those "I'm getting a paycheck, it doesn't really matter" kind of players.

Kenny looked incredibly frustrated after the loss, and by his following tweet. Like there is fundamental issues on how to play. See Shotzzy and Pred as similar in style. Both prefer to hit flanks. Take routes and be the playmaker. Can even see now Pred preferring to run MCW.

This optic downfall has to be studied. Went from smacking majority of the teams(including top 4) and only issue was with Faze throughout the whole season. Now going game 5s with the bottom bracket teams and choking up. Make it make sense mane

Now in your personal opinion you think OpTic have an internal problem? I'm asking because it you go back and watch thr OpTic matches. After game 2 Kenny and pred left the stage while dashy and shotzzy stayed. Then right after the lose the same thing. Kenny and pred left dashy and shotzzy stayed. Never seen OpTic as an team since AW where 2 players leave and the other 2 stay. Just your personal opinion on that.
OpTic just checked out once they won the Major. Typical win and event and then forget how to play CoD.

OpTic already won their ring when they won major 3. All the players spent a week gloating about their one win and kept spending hours everyday on stream talking about the win and making content videos about their one win. That teams going out in 8th at champs and will probably disband for EWC

Pred’s got to start using his head in SnD, being first blooded in the first five seconds is killing any type of play or rhythm.

Hydra joining ultra in place of envoy makes 1000% more sense for both of them instead of just becoming the scapegoats for Floptic next year. They would immediately become a Top 2 team all year. One idea to help Optic improve, if they haven’t already, would be to have Scump, Karma, Formal, and Pamaj scrim against the boys and figure out what’s going on. A teaching session is needed to help them and to get them in the right headspace for champs.
